Hi! My name is Wynn and I've been watching TPR for a while now. The Photo TRs are really fun to look at! I really love roller coasters and parks, but my family is very busy with other things so we don't have time for a lot of parks other than my home park, Cedar Point. I really want to raise my ride count and visit all of the parks I've heard so much about. I am going to DC next week, so I think I'll get to stop at some parks along the way. I really want to do a TPR trip with my family next year, and once I can drive, I hope to travel around the country in an RV and visit tons of parks. Someday I hope to own a park myself!

Photo TR: Cedar Point Double TR including CoasterMania!

Back with more pics. This time I remembered to bring my camera. It got some good pics, still not the best quality, but slightly better. Any recommendations for a good camera (for walkback pics, other park TRs)? Wanting to lighten my load a bit, the camera was in a locker near TTD for most of the day, but I got some good pictures of the front of the park. Plenty of Maverick and MF pictures in the CoasterMania TR above New entrance banners: Maverick Millennium banner (sorry for the reflection) Dragster Banner A blurry pic from the parking lot. Raptor and Blue Streak. Sorry for the quality on this and above - still in the car for these. Ahhhhhhhhhh paradise Don't know why, but I quite like this pic. Twisty! Good Raptor It's still so smooth too! Ready to pounce! This is a cute little area. But why isn't Charlie Brown wearing yellow? He never wears red! There's Mantis. Yeah..... Can't forget this guy! And the Corkscrew Midway area. Never been a big fan of this, but 2 great rides on each side changed my mind yesterday. Dragster was down most of the day, no rides for us Got my first Corkscrew ride of the season - it was surprisingly fun! Ahhh, the Best Park Award, the pride of any park. No wait, only us! We decided not to wait with these guys at 5. A wise decision, it didn't open up again until around 9. Yay! Drop is my personal favorite, but both are really fun. No lines either! Can you spy all three trains in this picture? Yeah, I bet you can... The station was practically empty. Only a few stayed and waited it out. This ride valleyed earlier in the day, but I didn't have my camera with me. It valleyed right there in the corkscrew near the station. How original! It's really a beautiful park. "Look out, Raptor! You're gonna crash into the building!" Nope, the train survived to once again see the light of day One of the best parts of the ride, IMO. Here's some pics from the Space Spiral. Sorry if there's some reflection. Millennium from a distance. Looks gorgeous at sunset. Here's some Raptor from above. Quite a sprawling layout. And a parking lot pic. Busy in the morning, not too bad after about 4 in the afternoon. It's just laying there in all its ugly glory... Some Wicked Twister, finally. Short, but a fun ride nonetheless. And the back spike. 7:30, still not open. There it goes again! First Magnum pic. It felt especially rough, came off both rides with a headache and stomachache. Never felt that before.... Some more maXair. I find this ride quite relaxing personally. There it is at full swing. Love this ride We waited in the ridiculously slow line for Giant Wheel so I could get some more pics. Troika Troika Troika! Keep scrolling, just a sign There's MF again in the distance. I got a ton of maXair photos. I guess they get old... Launch Photo! Chaos was finally up and running for the season. There's a close-up of Raptor in the Cobra Roll, taken from the Giant Wheel. Troika is busy Troika-ing. Raptor in the loop! That Zero-G roll is really fun! Ocean Motion. Just in a quiet part of the park, it needs more traffic... *Ka-chink ka-chink ka-chink...* "Weeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!" "OHMYGOD! WE'RE UPSIDEDOWN!" Hehehehe they don't know they're being watched An awesome ride and a wannabe ride. Can you guess which is which? Space Spiral was a really short ride! Almost as short as Skyhawk. The "E" stands for "ewwwww". And thats the show I STILL haven't seen... Awwwwww! Snoopy wants to give the lamp post a hug How sweet! 9 pm, Dragster finally reopened. Pshh! That's all it's worth! Good Night, America's Roller Coast! It was a great trip! Can't wait to get back. -
Hi TPR'ers! This is my first attempt at a Trip Report, so we'll see how this goes. Normally I don't take a lot of pictures when I go to a park, but decided to try it this time. Cedar Point is my home park, so I have two TRs: pics from CoasterMania and from yesterday, a fun day trip. We got in a lot of great rides both trips, I was really happy that I got on so much. CoasterMania Ride Count: Top Thrill Dragster x1 Magnum x2 Raptor x6 Millennium Force x4 Maverick x4 Skyhawk x6 Wicked Twister x2 maXair x2 Mantis x1 Power Tower (Shot) x1 Power Tower (Drop) x1 June 22 Ride Count: Corkscrew x1 Magnum x2 Gemini x1 Skyhawk x1 Snake River Falls x1 Wave Swinger x1 Raptor x2 Blue Streak x1 Millennium Force x2 Mean Streak x1 Power Tower (Shot) x2 Power Tower (Drop) x2 Space Spiral x1 Giant Wheel x1 Wicked Twister x1 maXair x1 Ocean Motion x1 Chaos x1 Disaster Transport x1 Reflecting on the picture quality of the pictures I took, I really do need to get a new camera. But here goes: CoasterMania!: Didn't take a lot of pictures here, forgot the camera but took pictures on my phone for the walkbacks on MF and Maverick. Cedar Point at 5 am. It was really empty! Millennium looked great. Didn't seem quite so tall for some reason... I always gray out in this overbank, don't know why. Its hard to see, but there's the first train coming down the hill. The ride started testing for our morning ERT while we were on the tour. Is it just me, or does this hill seem shorter than you'd expect? I'm not saying it's sinking.... that's Magnum Geek Shot! Kinda... Bet you've never taken this picture before... Cresting the lift! Here's a bad quality photo of StR at sunrise. The Intamin plaque-name thing on MF. And coming down the drop a bit later in the day. And now onto Maverick. Here's underneath the airtime hill. It would be better if there was a train... It was getting lighter out. Lift hill from a weird angle. That track looks seriously messed-up. Never seen this picture before either... Another lift hill shot. Here's that second overbanked hill-turn thing again. Love this part of the ride. Working our way back towards the drop. Lift hill again. A little less strange-looking. There we go! A normal angle, finally. Thats even better. Nothing like this drop! Here's the drop straight-on. Such an intense ride! One of my favorites. Here's up under the track just following the launch. Dragster is off in the distance. That's a weird-shaped opening. The ride started testing about now. There's the nose of the first train. There we go! The train completes the image. What a twisted mess of a ride! The airtime hill again. It some good, sustained airtime this trip. And the horseshoe roll... We left the walkback a little early, headed back to MF for 2 great rides, then back to Maverick ERT. Photos from the June 22nd trip in the next post It was a great trip!

Hi TPR'ers. I'm new to the site, but this seemed like the place to post my question. I'll be on my way to D.C. here at the end of the month, and really want to stop at either Hersheypark, King's Dominion, or Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I can only go to one, which would you recommend? I guess I generally prefer quality over quantity, but not if that means the wait will be insanely long (1hr +). I've never been to any of them, except Hersheypark as a young child, so I can't remember any of it. I want to try Hersheypark for Fahrenheit, Storm Runner, and Lightning Racer because I'm desperate for a good woodie (I'm stuck in Sandusky with Mean Streak). I want to visit Busch because I've heard nothing but good things about them, and their rides all seem top-notch. And of Course, KD has I305 new this year, so I want to see how that compares to Millennium Force. Which park do you think has the best rides and the overall best experience? Thanks!

Yes! Totally! I want to get to as many events this summer as I can, and it would be my first trip to SFGAm. Would probably bring my family, sounds like a lot of fun!
