  1. Newport Pleasure Gardens Newport, Rhode Island's New Regional Park! 1976 Hello! My name is Janet Rohrs, and I'll be helping to introduce a small regional park here in Newport, Rhode Island! Currently we're in the process of forming a small team to get this off the ground. Earlier this morning I sent off this letter to a prospective team letter. Take a look below. I'll try to keep you posted as the project continues! -Janet Rohrs
  2. ^Maybe an impulse, but definitely not a Maverick clone! I'd hope for a nice compact GCI. Not as big as the one previously rumored, but a GCI is a GCI!
  3. Go into Documents/RCT3/Parks and get the .dat file.
  4. Thanks Reviar and Ace. I think I'm going to keep the shades, I like them well enough... Keep an eye out for an official thread soon! EDIT: I like it Ryan. Maybe not realistic, but still really cool!
  5. How do the queue shades look? It's supposed to be 1978, but this was the best I had.... Also, is it possible to have a Parachute Drop Tower without having everyone say you're copying CD5's park? Sorry for the bad quality too. Please let me know what you think, I want to have this up on the forums by Monday...
  6. I'm sorry, but I think I'm out... I'm running out of time and motivation. Simply nowhere near done, plus I'm focused on another project right now. Sorry, but best of luck to everyone else!
  7. I'm in tentatively. We'll see how motivated I get... Sounds exciting regardless!
  8. Well all your updates have been posted over about 20 minutes. Haven't given us much chance to comment... On that note, it looks nice. I'd definitely suggest widening your paths though, it looks much nicer. Good start!
  9. More progress, but not finalized. Expect to see an official thread soon... Thoughts and feedback please
  10. I just won a pink ball & put in my address. It counted down to 0 then it said it lost my connection... Is that bad? I got a confirmation message onscreen before it happened...
  11. Not bad... a bit small. It looks good, but unless that's the look you're going for I'd say make the pathways wider basically. It just doesn't look very "high-capacity". Are those Spice's trees? And where did you find those window flower boxes?
  12. Everything looks good for the most part, but the two buildings really block the view of the main entrance. Maybe move one off to each side?
  13. ^^ Thanks! Glad you like it! ^ The Entrance was made with shyguy's main street sets. You can get them from his website, I will be busy all day today, but can pm you the sets tonight if you need.
  14. ^Thanks! errt_entrance is a set with an invisible ride entrance and exit. As always, let me know if you need me to send you a set if you can't find it...
  15. ^Haha yeah I know its a lot... Thank you Ace, for following this for so long. I've really enjoy reading your replies. Have fun this Saturday

  18. September, 1977 11th Season Final Update Hello Boulder, It's my last day here at the park. Needless to say, I'm feeling a little sad. I just want to say that I've loved talking to all of you, and I will sorely miss Boulder Leisure Park and everyone else here. I suppose this is a "farewell" update: Boulder Leisure Park sure has come a long way. The midways look a lot different than they did 11 years ago... This area of the park has probably seen the most drastic changes. My desk hasn't looked this tidy since I started! We really do have some great coasters. Who knows how this view will look 10 years from now? Goodbye, Boulder Leisure Park... Best of luck to all of you in the future. Sincerely, Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  19. ^Thanks, I'll miss it too. But I'm excited for my next project! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- September, 1977 11th Season The Roller Coasters of Boulder Leisure Park Hello, I'm down to my last month here at the park, so I'm pretty busy packing up my stuff. I thought I'd take today to recap on all of the great coasters here at BLP: Mad Mouse, 1967-present El Furioso, 1969-present RPM, 1971-present Rocky Rumbler, 1973-present (as Mine Train 1967-1968) Lakeside Dipper, 1974-present Sunburst, 1977-present I sure will miss these coasters... -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  20. August, 1977 11th Season Hello again, Today I got to go to the top of Sunburst's weight drop tower. It was really high, but a lot of fun! The only way to the top is to go up this ladder in the back. These trees really break up the asphalt nicely. Hurler never did reopen... The train will be extended next year. They're putting in a new station across from Lakeside Dipper. Bumpers is great for a quick thrill (and a nice break from my desk)! Until next time, have a great day! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  21. Looks great so far, love the name "Thing" for some reason
  22. Too many fountains? There's four right now, but I may take it down to just one in the center: More work is progressing. Let me know what you think!
  23. July, 1977 11th Season Hello again, Just a few more pictures from the park today. Attendance is picking up now that we're well into the summer. This guest looks really scared on Fright Night Estate! I sure hope the park does something about this building - its not very exciting. Sunburst is doing great as well! The pool hasn't been very busy this season. Looks like the park is already planning new additions! Paratrooper is one of my favorite rides - it's right outside my office! Have a great day! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  24. ^The park will end after this season. The park will "continue" in whatever world its in, but I will be stopping work and updates on it.
