  1. I kept up a written message for the last few minutes (yeah, I know, I'm a little rotten cheater) but my computer screwed up at the final moment!! Stupid Safari!! Oh well, congrats PAL!
  2. The Laughing Dragon was the Four Winds Steakhouse. ... So anyone know? ~Nicholas I have an old SFMM map from 1999, and it isn't listed, so it's been closed since before then. Sorry if it's not much help, but at least it reduces your time frame. Good luck!
  3. Where is the counter for total forum posts? I checked out statistics, but couldn't find it.
  4. I haven't heard anything, but figuring that there's been something for Terminator and X2, (which is why you asked in the first place) I wouldn't be surprised to see an event announced in the near future.
  5. It's funny because the Asian-themed Tatsu has a stereotypical American McDonalds roof. What's more American than McDonalds?
  6. Even though I haven't been on it in a few years, I remember enjoying Space Mountain Mission 2 quite a bit! The line was long, so I only rode it once, but I thought it was much better than Space Mt. in CA.
  7. That's awesome!! And to think, without me, you'd be 116 posts farther away from a million!!
  8. ^ Oops, I feel stupid. *hides in corner*
  9. Hey, according to Mitch's website, the polls have been extended to Sunday, May 8. Check it out! www.ushsho.com/bestrollercoasterpoll.htm
  10. Yeah, I realized that's probably what you meant right after I posted a response. I have to say that anyone complaining Incredible Hulk is "too short" or it's "not very fun" need to ride Vortex at CGA, which is my least favorite B&M (out of the 11 I've ridden). THAT ride is short, and not very fun!
  11. Timber Terror @ Silverwood had some insane hairtime and an awesome first drop from my trip last summer. I took the pic myself, not from Google, I'm so proud!
  12. ^^^ Incredible Hulk is not "hated" by everyone else. It's a fun ride that some people may or may not enjoy as much as other coasters, but I've never anyone hate the ride (It was rated 39th best steel in the world by the Mitch Hawker Poll in 09'). As for me, I'd say Silver Bullet. It's not hated, but it's often one of the lowest rated B&M inverts , but I think it's actually a fun, exciting little coaster (and the last helix and short wait time also make it worth a ride).
  13. ^ Spiderman is a dark ride/ 3D show that sends you around in these moving vehicles past several screens and there are also several external effects that enhance the ride including: FIRE!!! It's really an awesome ride, and has a great single rider line that was DESERTED when I went during the summer, bypassing the 50 min. wait with a 2 car wait! Be sure to see it.
  14. I only went on Metro once, and from what I can remember (when I was only 4 or 5) the ride was kind of crappy, and the trains were kind of beat up (again, this was 10-11 years ago, and I might be mixing up my memories with the monorail in Seattle). Oh well, at least hardcore monorail enthusiasts don't have anything to whine about anymore.
  15. California Screamin' at CA Adventure. It sucked though, because I was on the only train WITHOUT audio. The ride itself was great, as always, but without audio, it kind of loses something. It's simply a lot more fun with the music!!
  16. ^ Thanks, it still might be worth a visit just for the credits, at the very least.
  17. SFMM, Disneyland, CA Adventure, and CGA's (first time). I know I'm visiting Knott's later this year, possibly visiting Wild Waves up in Washington State. I never hear anything about it, is it good?
  18. Although SoCal coasters kinda suck in the airtime department, California Screamin' emerges as my favorite (especially the first hill after the launch). Worst airtime is voted to Grizzly @ CGA's!! That ride sucked and was boring as h... sorry, I dozed off for a second just thinking about it!
  19. ^ Goliath isn't closed. Check out the rides list on the Magic Mt. home page. Batman The Ride is listed as closed, but Goliath isn't. Figuring June 5th is right after school lets out, the park will be packed, and they'll need every ride open that week, including Goliath.
  20. ^ Still beats going your first time, and being unable to ride because of construction.
  21. These would be amazing to see at real parks!! To see more detail on maps would be awesome! Nice Job!
  22. ^ Remake what? Deer Park Plunge? That was an already very short ride, and I doubt he'll be remaking any rides. He'll probably be adding something very Six Flags-ish, but with a few differences thrown into the mix. Can't wait for what's to come!
  23. Top Gu... uh, I mean Flight Deck at CA's Great America in the back row on the final train of the day. It's ironic because I was on the first train of the day in the front row.
  24. Could this mean that 23 year old researcher x $1,000,000 gift = $23,000,000 ride?
