  1. Will California ever have a top 10 wood or steel ever again? Ever? Ever? Jesus...it's embarassing.
  2. View from the midway, one small picture, an on-board ride. No matter how you slice it, some will love the new colors and some won't. That's how it always is. Those that don't like it, unfortunately will have to get used to it.
  3. ^ Well there you go. I had totally forgotten due to the darkness of the Bale films.
  4. I like it. It's vibrant and stands out. I thought it looked very dated and boring before. Eh, I don't really care that much that it doesn't "scream" Batman, it really "looks" great. Just my opinion of course.
  5. So what coaster did they put as their number 1? Wait, let me guess...
  6. Your reading things into what I said. There's no arguement. I made a statement stating that next year I'll be finding my thrills elsewhere, just like many other enthusiasts do every year. I've been to SFMM every year for 20 years, and will go at some point next year as well. But I'm not freting over them adding a kiddy coaster because I can ride plenty of new to me thrill rides next year. For the last time, I'm not judging the park for not adding a big coaster. I actually like the idea.
  7. Here's where that argument is flawed and everyone if finding conflict with. As of the 2010 the park will have the following in their thill lineup *X *Viper *Deja Vu *Terminator *Tatsu *Superman *Riddler's Revenge *Revolution *Goliath *Scream! *Colossus *Batman 12 of the parks 17 coasters are designed for the thrill market. You cant get that kind of ratio just anywhere. Just because the park isn't getting a *dive machine* doesn't mean they neglected the thrill seekers. The park offers 12 high-profile, thrill oriented rides, some of which are recognized the world over. No big coaster...Boo Hoo. You have 12 to choose from to help ease the pain. I find it interesting that you conveniently left off the last part of my statement where I said it was fine that a new thrill wasn't coming to SFMM next year. I'm well aware that the park has lots of big coasters and it's time to focus on the little ones. I'm okay with it, and will be busy visiting parks in other states next year.
  8. Because we wont get a record breaker next year So Cal will be thrill deprived! Oh please! Enjoy Ohio as there is soooo much to do there when compared to Southern California Who said anything about thrill deprived. But I've been there and done that. Sorry, but a trip through Ohio, St.Louis and Indiana sounds more fun to me.
  9. Yeah, I'm not even worried about next year. It's not going to be a year for thrill seekers, which is fine. Next year I'll be spending most of the summer in Ohio anyway. Lots of thrills there!
  10. I believe it, and I like the idea. It's a fun little kiddie ride that I can also ride. The one at Disneyland may be the same, but good luck riding that one, the wait time for that one is insane.
  11. If we're talking 42', how about something like this: Looks fun!
  12. It doesn't have to be for 2010. I'm speaking generally.
  13. Personally, I'd love for SFMM to blow Knott's Puny Express out of the water with a fully realized Vekoma or Intamin Motocoaster.
  14. Here's how mine came out: 1-Voyage 2-Boulder Dash 3-Ravine Flyer 4-El Toro 5-Pheonix 6-My Favorite Steel 7-Thunderhead 8-Tremors 9-Terminator 10-Raven
  15. I agree that it would be a good idea to scrap Wiggle's World. If they really want to appeal to families, they need to invest in the making the waterpark a worthwhile seperate gate. They also really need to re-work Bugs Bunny world into something more modern and pleasing. This is as outdated a kiddie area as I've ever seen.
  16. Personally, I think the whole point of building at or near the top of the mountain, is so that you don't have to build that high. Sort of like Tatsu, you can use the terrain to give the illusion of height.
  17. How much land exists between Goliath and Colossus?
  18. Wow! This coaster looks great!
  19. Goliath wasn't designed for airtime no? Quite the opposite actually. It reminds me of The Beast in that it's all about speed and a powerful helix. That certainly isn't going to be a lot of enthusiasts cup of tea, but never the less, airtime was not a goal of SFMM or the designers of this ride. I enjoy the ride for what it is, but ever since the Colosuss incident, SFMM seems to have steered clear of airtime. They seem scared of it.
  20. Agreed. And let's not forget, mega-lites are perfect for parks with limited land space. And they pack a MAJOR punch despite their size.
  21. CP will be getting the GCI that was suppose to go to CGA!
  22. RIP Mr Jackson. I don't care what anyone says, his musical legacy speaks for itself. They don't make perfomers like this anymore!
  23. Jeff Goldblum is dead too? Or is this just a rumor?
  24. Why does it have to be record breaking? They spent $20 million between X2 and Terminator. Something along those lines for 2011 is certainly possible. Just because every park is getting something does not mean each park would be getting multi-million dollar coasters. Only the parks that can support it attendance wise. While a Bizzaro retheming is possible, it also ain't going to come cheap, and if you know anything about Tim and Jay, they do not like re-treads from other parks. They want something unique to SFMM.
