I noticed a lot of new music around the park too! Some good, some bad. By the way, did anyone else run into Bonnie Rabjohn on Saturday? My friends and I did, and she was beyond nice (if a little shy). She asked us if we were having a good time, and actually apologized for the "dead" areas of the park. She said the park was undergoing a transitional period, with a lots of projects going on at the same time. She had a few people with her, and they seemed to be stopping and looking at everything. I wish she would participate in the Q&A with Tim and Neal, but I get that it may not be her thing like Jay.

I could be wrong, but I honestly don't see them spending the money it would cost the go for the height or speed record. Kingda ka was $25 million, and we're talking basically a one trick ride. And a ride that big would completely waste the terrain it would be built on. The multi-launch rumour sounds more plausible to me.

I really enjoyed myself on both days with very few complaints. The limited ERT at SFMM did not bother me one bit. Mainly because the WHOLE DAY was pretty much ERT, with some VERY light crowds. I did appreciate them extending the X2 ERT, that was a nice touch. I kinda got the feeling that that there was just so much going on behind the scenes, from construction to ride rehabs to limited staff, that they just weren't operating at full strength like in past years. Not really an excuse, but an observation. I can forgive them for an off year, the past 4-5 have been beyond awesome. *Only one real complaint, and I hope management reads this. The food was TERRIBLE. Would it have hurt to at least add some bar b que sauce to the meat? It was bland and dull. Especially after the very good food we had the day before at Universal!

I'd love something like Cheetah Hunt meets Maverick meets ISpeed. It's one of the types of coaster that I've always wanted on the West coast, second only to a second hyper/giga. After seeing the site up close, I really feel like we're looking at a launch as opposed to a large lift hill. That's just a personal feeling though.

Yeah we noticed to that the ride didn't spin as much as it did when we rode it back in August. And we got some pretty unbalanced cars a few times. Not sure why, and not sure I care. At this point, I won't ride it again either. I loved the ride last summer, was bored to tears by it on Saturday. All I can say is, onward to 2013!

Agreed. I have ridden Green Lantern at least 30 times, and not once have I had an issue...um down there. All my rides have been fun and enjoyable. And I haven't heard anyone complain about the other Zac Spin incarnations. What is it with Americans and finding some kind of pain on any ride that doesn't move in a straight line.

^ Actually most parks don't even announce opening dates any more, until the ride is almost finished. And given that SFMM is a year round park, they can open a new ride any time they choose, probably whatever works to their "marketing" advantage. I do agree though that delays are frustrating if you're planning a trip from far away.

I love all this talk about Revolution. This ride doesn't get enough love from modern coaster fans, and certainly not the park. It should be a national treasure and more than any other ride in the park (Colossus included), deserves a complete makeover from Six Flags. Paint job, new trains, station and trims removed/disabled.

I honestly don't have a problem with this at all. If I want family, I'm going to Knotts or Disney anyway (regardless of any attempt by SFMM to go family). If I'm going to SFMM, I'm kinda expecting thrill coasters at this point. I would like the park to be well staffed and well run, with at least a few things spread around the park for kids. But ultimately, my days of yearning for SFMM to be anything other than what it is, ended around 2006 lol.
