Worlds of Fun (WOF) Discussion Thread

Every dollar made from things like Fast Lane and Dinosaurs Alive only adds to money available for future capital expansion. Every body that goes through those turnstiles helps, and like it or not, the dinos have been doing very well at the parks that have installed them so far. Agree wholeheartedly about the launch coaster, something like Sky Rocket would be great. -

Thanks for the comments guys, really do appreciate it! There is custom scenery used, I'm just not great at using it, lol. ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Back again with another update from Reynold's Park! So far this season has been truly great for us. We are so thankful to have such a loyal community of fans and supporters. As a thank you for all the great letters and photos we get in the mail and on facebook, we thought we would post a few of them here! This one was submitted by Karen and Brian H. of Milwaukee, WI. This is Mitchell and Leah K. of Chicago, IL enjoying our scrambler together! This is the Stuart family from Rockford, IL enjoying some mini-golf. And finally, this is one I took, of where our new attraction is going next year. -
Here's a couple more articles detailing the extent to which the park has deteriorated. http://www.whas11.com/community/Bluegrass-Boardwalk-development-plan-details-deteoration-of-structures-many-attractions-inoperable-155800985.html http://www.wlky.com/news/local-news/louisville-news/Bluegrass-Boardwalk-opening-delayed-until-2014/-/9718340/14344798/-/3l6j1oz/-/index.html The first one states that some bathrooms even had unflushed toilets. Lovely.

It's hard to tell for sure (looking at this on my phone at the moment) but is that a 90 degree bank on the hill right after the first drop? -

^Thanks! ************************************************************************************************************** It's been a few days since I had a chance to take a walk through the park. I love getting out there and seeing all of the families that are having a great time! A few of you have been asking about what to expect for next year...while I don't get to say this often, if you like thrills you will want to see what we have in store! There has been a spike in ridership on the Ferris Wheel this year, which is great! You can really get some great views from up there! Our Trampoline has also seen a lot more riders since Tomahawk opened! Look at all those people! Saturdays have been BUSY around here lately! -

^So true. I would pay $50 for Fast Lane if it were only those three rides without blinking. -

Season 7: Opening Day! Seems like it has been forever since I have taken a stroll around Reynold's Park! I got out in the park today for opening day. Tomahawk was running great, but had a long line all day. Guests really seem to love it! Season passes are still available so be sure to stop by Guest Relations to get yours today! Zephyr is always a popular ride! Flying Eagles is still running strong after seven great seasons! The Farris Wheel gives some awesome views of the entire park! Didn't think I would leave out the Log Flume did you? Night rides on Tomahawk are a must for thrill seekers! Fireworks are a great way to end the night! See you all soon! Thanks for visiting Reynold's Park! -

Members on KICentral were told that its capped at 20% of attendance each day at KI. I don't know that that holds true chain wide though. -

Season 7: Spring is here again and that can only mean one thing! Reynold's Park's opening day is just around the corner! We selected a few of our pass holders to attend a special preview of our brand new roller coaster Tomahawk. All the reviews so far have been great! We can't wait to see what you think this season when Tomahawk opens next week! Here is the station for Tomahawk. As you can see it sits adjacent to Adventure Pier, behind Log Flume. Here comes some lucky riders down the first drop! The event lasted into the evening, giving riders a chance to see the lights that have been added to Tomahawk's lift. POV shot! See you all next week for opening day! -

Personally, I think this is a great move for CP and as someone who only gets to visit CP once a year I am excited not to have to choose between one more ride on Millennium Force or one more ride on Maverick when it gets close to time to go. That being said, anyone who was at KI for the Saturday night from hell last year, knows that the the definition for "limited" can be pretty broad. DB's Fast Lane wait was 15-20 min from the station for a few hours. Is that a million times better than waiting in the 2-2.5 hour standby line? Of course. But it was curious that there weren't any reports on those haunt nights of anyone trying to purchase Fast Lane and being told that they couldn't because they had sold out. It will be interesting come the Saturdays in July and August to see just how limited these are. -
Full Throttle vers.2.0 [NL]
KI Kidd replied to Gigalyte's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Some people have WAY too much time on their hands if they feel the need to critique peoples NL creations that harshly. Really liked the design a lot, the ejector air in the back of that thing must be off the charts on the big hill after the 2nd launch! -

If you have a CF Platinum Pass then I would recommend getting to the park early for ERT on Diamondback and Invertigo (and a quick spin on Flying Ace Arial Chase, if you are of the whorish persuasion). Either way I would try to be at the park at opening and go directly back to X-Base and either get in line for Firehawk (if its open yet, it tends to take its time opening up some mornings) or Flight of Fear. Ride the other after you get off whichever one you ride first. I would then go over and hit Backlot next as its line can get to be a bit long/slow/combination of both as the day goes on. Racer, Beast, Vortex, and Diamondback all have lines that move pretty quickly. I would concur with the above posters that night is the time to ride Beast. Ride Vortex in seat 5-1 (5th car, front row) for the best ride. Flight Deck (Top Gun) usually has a station wait or less, even on busy days. Invertigo will probably have a line all day, so that might be one you just have to grin and bare it if you aren't there for the morning ERT. Other than that, Delirium is a good flat, and White Water Canyon is a great water ride if you like those. -
