Season 2: Welcome back to Reynold's Park! We have been working hard this offseason to make this year even better than last! Our staff has been testing SkyRider and have our brand new coaster ready for opening day. The new SkyLine Shops have been stocked and are ready to offer families a wonderful variety of new products. We have contracted with several local merchants to have their products placed in these amazing new shops. We hope that we can deliver a new year of family fun and memories for all to share! See you in the park, Vince Scott President A look at what everyone has been waiting for: SkyRider! Here is a look at the exit for our brand new roller coaster. The smells coming from Skyline Buffet are amazing! I can't wait to try the food! Here is an overview of how things look for our second season! We hope to see you and your family here soon. -

^Thanks for the comments guys, I really appreciate them. ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Hello again everyone! Our first season here at Reynold's Park has flown by! We pleased to say that attendance has surpassed even our expectations. We really are happy that Reynold's Park has become the place for family fun. We are hard at work getting SkyRider and the Skyline Shops all ready for next year. They just finished the lift structure and it looks very impressive! Its even taller than the Log Flume! As the season comes to a close don't forget to stop by Guest Relations, located in the food court, to find out more about all the great offers we will have available next year. Thank you so much for your continued support! - Vince P.S. - I snagged a few more photos today...one of these shots will look a lot different next year... Log Flume is my favorite ride in the park...just don't tell that to Flying Eagles. Only the bravest guests challenge Loop-de-Loop! The Kid's Complex has been a huge hit with families! That's it for our first season! We will see you all in March! -

Hello all! My name is Vince Scott and I am the President of Reynold's Park. The first season is in full swing and we couldn't be happier with the way things have turned out! Only a few months in and we are already a premier family entertainment destination. Flying Eagles just gave out its 100,00th ride! We got big pans to keep the fun coming next year too! I can't give it all away just yet, but I've got a feeling the skyline will look a little different at this time next year. Before I go here are some shots I got the other night while working late. Enjoy! Now that is a fun looking pier! Even on a cool night the Log Flume is a great experience. A little past bedtime for the Kid's Complex to be so busy isn't it? The new torches add a nice touch to Adventure Pier area. Finally, a first look at next year's expansion site... -

!!GRAND OPENING!! Reynold's Park is glad to welcome everyone to the Grand Opening Celebration! The park will be open from 10:00am-10:00pm today, giving everyone plenty of time to explore everything we have to offer! There will be specials running in the food court all day and Flying Eagles will be giving park goers a great bird's eye view of the celebration all day long! Don't forget to take the little ones to the Kid's Complex to check out our great selection of kid's rides. Welcome to Reynold's Park! As anticipated the Teacups have been very popular today! We had no idea that Jiggle Bug, our kids coaster, would draw such a crowd though! Off they go! Flying Eagles gets ready to soar through the clouds. -
The aptly named 'Teacups' features a lot of greenery. City Gardens is located just to the left as you enter the park. The yellow building on the left houses the parks food court. 'Flying Eagles' is located back towards the pier. A tiny portion of the 'Kid's Complex' can be seen in this photo as well. Across the path from the Flying Eagles sits the park's Log Flume. This will be great way to cool off in the summer. At the very back of the park sits Adventure Pier, featuring Rotor, the parks only inverting ride Loop-de-Loop, and Canoe rentals. Finally here is an overview of the property provided to us by Mr. Scott. We tried to get some details on the future development plans but were told only that "a significant investment" would be made next year.

Not at all trying to knock you here (honest!) - I just find it interesting that something like a trim brake on, what seems to be in most accounts, a pretty amazing new ride kept you out of the park entirely? -
I took my first trip to Michigan's Adventure this year and it was close to if not my favorite in-park day of the summer. We arrived just after it quit raining and had an empty park for about five hours. Shivering Timbers was absolutely amazing. While the rest of the coaster lineup isn't incredible it is a nice little park with a great atmosphere.

Saturdays have been PACKED. Reportedly (from a trusted friend who works at KI) over 40,000 this past Saturday. These Halloween events seem to really be drawing huge crowds across the board this year. Its nice to see attendance rebounding for the seasonal parks this year. -

Cedar Fair announced today that they will resume unit holder distributions ($0.25 per unit) in December. They also again stated their expected cap ex for 2011 is $85 million. That would mean more then a third of CF's capital expenditures have not been publicly announced yet (if my math is right). It sounds as though the group in Sandusky believes things are turning around for them financially, hopefully this is the case. -

Not that anyone has forgotten I'm sure, but there is a large wooden coaster sitting lifeless in action zone and a large chunk of capital that CF has yet to announce what they will be spending it on...perhaps these two things may be addressed during the conference call Tuesday morning. -

I don't know what was in the box but I think a lot of people assumed that this was going to be the new ride announcement when it never was. Why would a new thrill ride be labeled as a present to Snoopy?
