I thought the same thing before I worked on one. When you are left swinging, the ride gets pretty dull. Also the longer the ride lasts, the worse a already horrible hourly count gets.

Looks great! It also looks like they may have opened up a little bit of room for a decent sized flat!

I really hope they don't modify the ride. It really has top 10 potential. They should just get new trains that are better equipped to sustain the forces the ride has.

Saturday night, my friends and I pre-gamed at her appartment in Providence, RI, called a cab, then headed down to the new Mirabar! At the club I had about 5 Bud Lights! Fantastic evening!

Haha my bad, I guess i'm just that gullible.

I feel like the park is just trying to make sure they keep the title of most coasters on the planet for the next few years. After this coaster the park should get a small flat package along the lines of what Great Adventure received this past season. Although it wouldn't be the same types of rides, the park could add one or two big marketable main flats then one or two other minor/family flats. They could possibly do this for the next two seasons to get their ride count back up. They could also use the extra money they save from not adding a new coaster and finally paint some of the coasters that really need it!

While on youtube not to long ago, I just found this shocker of a video. I'm not sure if its real or not though...

^ Don't worry, there are daily, weekly, and monthly inspections on all the different components of the ride that must be done and sent in to the company. If not, the ride is not allowed to operate.

^I loved GASM. I have never had a bad ride on it and would it multiple times every trip to Great Adventure. I miss the airtime in the front row you would get when you entered the MCBR! That and I have a bunch of fond memories of the ride from when I was little kid. R.I.P buddy!

I'm glad to see that there is another site controller on here! =D The first time I went on the one at Six Flags New England was in 2005 when it still had the rolling boarding platform. Needless to say it was the scariest thing i've ever done in my life, but I loved it. I was so happy when I found out that I would work it in 2011! Once you work on them and know everything about them, your fear of them disappears. So far i've been on... Six Flags New Englands Six Flags Great Adventure Six Flags Magic Mountain Lake Compounce Funtown Piers The Great Escape They are a ton of fun and they are just as safe if not safer then any ride you will ever go on! =]
