  1. My favorite flat has always been Time Warp, SFNE's Vekoma Air Jumper. Man was i upset when they got rid of it. <3 Photo Credit: Theme Park Critic
  2. I would love to see a park by the South Eastern Coast of Massachusetts. There used to be tons of parks over here back in the day, but now there's nothing. I personally would love to see some type of boardwalk, something along the lines of the Jersey Shore. The coast line of New Bedford would be prefect for it! If that didn't work out, maybe a park in Dartmouth or Acushnet. There are tons of farms and land out there for sale.
  3. Sorry if someone posted this already but I found this pretty cool video showing Flashbacks Construction at SFNE. In the video it shows photos of a few other construction projects that also took place that year such as Nightwing, Towers B & C on Scream, Superman, Batman Stunt Show and the DC Area as a whole.
  4. I can't wait to see where these rides will end up! I really hope Six Flags buys some of those flats.
  5. Hey everyone! So since the last update didn't have that many photos and was tons of reading, i'm just going to jump right into the first official park of the Texas/Mid-West Trip and get onto the photos! Also this going to be a two part update due to the large amounts of photos. Six Flags Fiesta Texas (Part 1) Its 7:30am and time to get our stuff together for a fun filled day at the park! Before you even step foot into the park, you are greeted with this beautiful entrance plaza! It's only 9am and its already 85 degrees, good thing there is plenty of shade! Where are we again? Once inside, you're greeted by beautiful theming such as this. Not your typical Main Street! So pretty! I think this might be one of the prettiest boomerangs i've ever seen. So many trees! Woah, a Sky Screamer that doesn't have a rainbow color scheme. Since Iron Ratter was still closed due to the incident on Texas Giant. The park went out of their way and gave us ERT on Superman instead! This is why I love ERT's! First official ERT of the tour! This became my favorite floorless coaster! It does a few funky cliff interactions which make it pretty awesome. ...and you can't forget about all that! The park then walked us over to Poltergeist to get a quick ERT on it before the park opened to guests! Poltergeist has one of the coolest themed stations i've seen on a coaster! Being in charge of Scream at SFNE for the past two seasons, I was really excited to see how another park runs basically the same ride. So right at park open, we jumped on for a quick ride! I thought the color scheme was kind of funky at first, but it really grew on me during my stay. At 11am, the park opened the Fiesta Boardwalk section of the park for another ERT session on Pandemonium and Scooby Doo! I was really excited to see how this ride also compared to the one at SFNE. It thought it was so strange to see two cars being loaded at the same time! I see TPR members! Fiesta Boardwalk had some other family rides such as the Ferris Wheel... ...A frisbee... ... and a Scrambler! Alright thats it for the first update. I hope you enjoyed it! Look out for the next update within the next few days featuring tons of Iron Rattler photos!
  6. False. SFNE has had Slingshot since 2009. We were only going to get RRE. =]
  7. Disclaimer! There will only be a couple photos in this TR. I wasn't feeling very daring bringing my camera & phone into a water park. I promise i'll try to keep it short and stick to key parts of my adventure. Arrival. After traveling half way across the country from Massachusetts, I arrived in San Antonio the day before. Being my first TPR tour, I was very nervous because I have never met most of the people on the tour. Thanks to the hotel bar, everyone became very fast friends! After a night of drinking and meeting a bunch of awesome new people, it was off to bed. Schlitterbahn. The next morning was an early one. We headed down to the lobby and met up with all the other TPR members. After a quick meeting of the tour rules, it was off to Schlitterbahn! When we got to the park it was already pushing 90 degrees. We walked into the park and saw an amazing Texas style breakfast buffet! After the breakfast, the staff handed out goodie bags filled with photo frames and sports bottles! After all this great hospitality it was time for our hour ERT. But there was another suprise! The ERT wasn't only on Masterblaster, but the entire slide complex! Signature Shot! A big thanks to Schlitterbahn for the special ERT session which helped us beat the lines. Later on in the day the line was at least 45 minutes for all three of the slides. After hitting all three slides, my group decided to ride lazy river of death. Why do I call it that you may ask? When riding in what seems to be an average, calm lazy river, you notice that the walls get higher and higher. Then all of a sudden you see massive waves about 4-5 feet tall barreling at you! If you catch the wave just right, you can even ride it for a little bit! After a few laps, it was time to meet up with the group so we could get the first ride on The Falls. What The Falls basically is is a really, really, really long lazy/adventure river that connects two parks together so you keep cool on those hot texas days! The first half of it I thought was quite uneventful, but thats because we got off right before it got good. The ride does have some cool features, one being that you can ride the tube conveyor belts. The second half of the ride or the return trip to the first park, was where the ride got fun. Much of it was sudden drops and waterfalls that got you soaked which i totally didn't expect. The main reason we traveled to the second park was for Dragons Revenge! All I can say about this slide is WOW! It had some awesome theming right from the second you walked into the line. It also had some amazing special effects in it and a great final drop! We were going to ride it again but the line was getting way to long, so we decided to check out some other rides. After spending some time in the second park, we decided to take the shuttle over to the 3rd, final, and original park. Now this park is made up of some really old school slides which i've never seen before. The cool thing is that most of the water they use in this park is pumped in from the near by river! The best slide at this park in my opinion was the old school mat racer that goes over the entrance. No word of a lie, I came close to a foot off the slide! It was so much fun that we did it a second time! The old park was one of the best i've been too just because it had some very unique slides that you wont find anywhere else. Also the park kept its charm over the years by not interfering with the natural beauty of the river and the surrounding area. After hitting a few slides in the old park, we decided to head back to Blastenhoff so I could check out the Sky Coaster. One thing I was really excited for on this trip was being able to get a bunch of Sky Coaster credits! Being a site controller, every one I went on was free which saved me a ton of money! This Sky Coaster was one I was really looking forward too, due to it being the first one i've seen in a water park. Saddly it did not live up to my hype. It felt like there was almost no free fall on it. But it was cool in the fact that you got to fly out over the wave pool. =] After Sky Coaster, we had a quick bite to eat, and then back to the hotel we went to get ready for the welcome dinner! I just wanted to give a special thanks to everyone at Schlitterbahn for an amazing event! I can't wait to go back soon! Next Park: Six Flags Fiesta Texas!

  9. ^ His name is Alfred! He was one of the many rescued animals that were part of a show that took place on the kidz stage. Sadly the show ended and Alfred is no longer in the park.
  10. After riding Scream, Bizarro, Hydra, Superman: KC, and Batman, I have to say Superman is my favorite!
  11. If this park does reopen, I need to go to it in 2014 just in case it's pulls a freestyle music park and closes again.
  12. I'm almost 100% positive that the Sky Coaster isn't complete yet. By looking at the Arch, it seems like the ride can have two different flights going on once. Also looking at the launch tower it seems to be tilted to the left. Which means there is another launch tower that will be tilted to the right. So the reason behind the Launch Towers not having a light package yet is most likely because that area just isn't finished yet. That is unless they decide just put up one tower and only run one side of it. This should better explain what i'm trying to say. Found this when searching on google.
  13. I'm so happy they are keeping this! I'll admit I was pretty disappointed when I found out that I was going to miss this credit. I can't wait to try this!
  14. Goliath at SFNE on the very last cycle of the season. In the front row!

  16. By looking at those photos, It seems like Thunder Run and Twisted Twins are most likely going to get new trains. Last I heard, Twisted Twins lost it's trains a few years back right? They will hopefully use this opportunity to get T2 some new trains as well.
  17. Found this on Screamscape this moring... Looks like it's almost done! Joker Construction! Source Link!
  18. I'm pretty happy to see the park hopefully re-opening. I feel like Ed Hart is really just doing this for the good of good. I know he wants to see the park run at its full potential, but so he wants to see the state prosper on the tourism and all the jobs the park will provide. Who else would accept a agreement like that?
  19. I feel like they will at least leave it like this for part of the full time season just so they can make some type of profit off of the investment. Who knows, if its popular they might keep it.
  20. I feel like it might be a fright fest attraction because it's only for a limited time. I hope that it is running backwards when i go this summer though.
  21. Better to have to much then not enough!
  22. I remember when I was 11 or 12 going to the adventure dome and seeing this ride and beggin my father to go on it. Saddly, the park was closing for the night and I didn't get to ride anything. It looks like I will never get my chance to ride it. Rip rim runner.
  23. After completely forgetting that I won anything, this came in the mail today! I wonder whats inside? =D A sexy TPR bag and some mints! But wait, whats inside of the bag? Woah! Look at all this fantastic stuff! =D Inside was a note book, a ton of mints, 3 travel bag ids, a rain poncho, a pen, hand sanitizer, and a tpr bag grip! All these things are going to come into great use on the Texas Mid West trip this year! Thank you some much guys!
