Remember that Cedar Point has put their announcement off post accident. And since track pieces started showing up yesterday, it's safe to say a B&M is making it's way to Cedar Point. -
I'm not sure thats totally a fair statement, Six Flags was the first to take a chance on B&M and RMC, the first to use the next gen technology and ride vehicles for JL:B4M, the first to take a chance on the arrow log flume, and so on. When a ride such as batman is super popular and is a fan favorite, why not clone it? The design work is done, just the engineering that needs to be tweaked. Not trying to say anything ill of your statement, so don't take it as such, but cloned rides do have a place. Sure a super loop is yawn to coaster nerds who see them all the time, but the same can be said for the fliers that have made a come back, or bumper cars, etc. IMO a new ride is a new ride, it may not appeal to all, but if it brings people in the gate with fistfulls of cash then I'm all for it as eventually the park budget will grow to a point that placing the next world's first will come.

Last weekend before school starts can go either way, expect slower than normal operations on Friday as replacement workers will be in full force and some ride capacity reduced(which started this week) to compensate for those who have gone back to school. Example, Mr. Freeze and Superman are one horse wonders during the week. Saturday is generally always busy. Sunday's are usually awesome until around 1pm.

The way SFOT is setup now, it is extremely efficient. There is normally a slight pause before the vehicle is sent on to scene one with a car behind it unloading and beginning to load with a 3rd in the final scene. Rinse and Repeat. I've witnessed persons in wheelchairs or with other mobility aides enter the ride vehicle as it was moving with no problem. The rate of speed is slow crawl and if needed the vehicle will be stopped before entering scene one, occupant is placed, and immediately sent on their way with the ride crew taking the mobility aid to the unloading area. When it comes down to it, if you can efficiently run a ride with say 8 vehicle, any others are there simply to rotate in during maintenance times and would be useless on the track and not add to capacity. NTAG is a perfect example. They tried to run it with three trains, and even with a fully staff of employees checking restraints, the human factor of "oh, I can't take my purse, or why can't I wear my hat, or I'm too big and have to unlock the train so I can do the walk" came into play and two trains were more efficient. With a full crew today when you hit the brakes the train in station is normally just being dispatched so a third train really doesn't increase capacity.

I don't see the lawsuit as going anyway. You enter knowingly that you might get hit in the head with a roll. It says it clearly on the sign, throwed rolls. You take a risk when you enter that type of establishment. End of story. I hope they fight it, but we all know they will probably settle to make it go away. -

While marathoning NTAG the other day with Larry(great way to get some exercise btw) someone had gotten caught using their cell phone on the ride(they have a few new cameras since the incident) and while everyone else's seats were unlocked and leaving the ride, the offending party was safely secured in their seats awaiting their sentencing. Gotta love the ability to keep specific seats locked. While I'm used to seeing that happen, I don't think Larry had before. Now depending on the attitude of the patron they may get away with simply deleting the photos/videos, or may get to visit with park security and shown the exit. I've seen similar things at SFFT as well. I'm all in favor for cameras covering as much of a ride as possible. If some dumbass has his gigantic TV Phone out trying to film a loop or take a selfie (yes, I'm talking about you Samsung lovers) and it flys out and hits me in the head and tears my eyeball out, I'm gonna want to know who did it so I can kick their ass, oh, and since 'merica, sue their ass too! -
I'm not near as far along as you guys are, but I'm not noticing any glitches other than the frame rate is kinda jumpy.

So now I know why springfield heights was introduced....to get us used to tapping on stuff every 30 seconds. Really? I don't have all day to sit around and tap on a task every 30 seconds. The monorail will be cool, but damn, I don't need a second job!

I prefer the Woodshed in Ft. Worth, Lockharts in Dallas, Pecan Lodge is ok, still riding the 'DDD' wave Tulsa - Stutts, Elmers, Oklahoma Joe's (broken arrow) or Oklahoma Style. Burn is good too as was mentioned. Oklahoma City - I love the potato salad and pulled pork at Earls Rib Palace, kinda of a local chain nowadays, I suppose Iron Star is ok Lubbock - If you like pizza, one man from italy, but I know you are a bbq guy. According to family members in the area, the shack and eddie's, however I can't vouch for it as I've not eat there. -
^Just FYI, Wylie Coaster requires a kido to ride, if you have one, great! If not and you reeeeeally want to ride it, I suppose you can ask to ride with one, but I've always found that creepy! At the Dallas Zoo I don't believe the monorail is operational as I haven't seen any press releases on it's reopening. The entire electrical system was to be upgraded along with new trains after several incidents that stranded riders. The best part, half price tickets!

Some area schools are winding back up this week so hours are reduced with replacement workers stepping back in. Park closes at 8pm. Should be high 90's on your visit (4 days, wow! hope you are checking out Dallas/Ft. Worth while you are here) The A/C is working nicely in Mr. Freeze, Runaway Mountain, and JL:B4M. Stay hydrated. Busiest day will likely be Saturday, Sunday will be fine until around 1pm when people crawl out of bed and say hey, lets go ride a roller coaster!

You'll have a great time as always Larry. Give outlaw Run a ride for me. -
IOE has been onsite the last several days testing the control systems readying the new Jr. coaster for it's maiden voyage. Bryan posted a neat video showing a bit of what they do to prepare the system as well as shows off the site. Check out the video on their facebook page, and while you're at it, give em a like! Video

Silver Dollar City (SDC) Discussion Thread
chadster replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Don't even waste you time going to SDC, it is an over rated and over priced wasteland. The only ride that is sort of OK is Outlaw Run. So says a troll on Theme Park Review. Its just my opinion, and S.D.C is overpriced, my season pass cost ninety dollars for White Water and S.D.C, and a day pass for each park is sixty dollars for each park individually. At Adventureland for the water park and amusement park it was just forty. Your opinions are minority opinions amongst people who have been to Silver Dollar City. And now you are just making silly comparisons. You say SDC is overpriced, yet $90 for a season pass sounds like a great deal to me, so there are ways to make the park more cost efficient. Now you are comparing Adventureland to SDC, yes Adventureland is a better deal for a day tripper that wants rides and a water park, but their season pass is $130. Who is overpriced now? I'm just curious what rides at Adventureland are superior to what I consider the best rides at SDC. Outlaw Run, Powder Keg, Wildfire Also, let me know where the great food is at Adventureland. And the entertainment options at Adventureland. For the record I like Adventureland but there is a reason why the single day entrance price is much lower then SDC's. With Adventureland, you're also getting free parking with the season pass, and ten bucks may not seem like much when at S.D.C you just get discounted parking Sorry, but parking at SDC is free for everyone, season pass or single day. You only pay for parking if you want to park close to the gate. Seriously you need to know what you are talking about before you talk. -

No, please, make it stop. I beg of you. I can't take it anymore. Before long Adventureland will have far superior chicken fingers(SDC hand breads them, pretty sure Adventureland just puts there hand in a pre-cooked bag Source) and that the Underground is a much better ride than Fire in the Hole ever thought about being. -
Someone was incrediablly bored! I've not made it to 30mil yet, I can only tap the starbucks golden horse knock off so many times. And I'm still 2k from the lattest FP addition, shows how much I've been playing lately. And is it me or has this game been updating like 4 times a week lately?

I think he kept all of the seats that survived after a storm destroyed the wheel. I know what you mean about the flea market never really having anything of value, to me it's all knick knacks and junk, mostly junk and a social hour for those with permanent booths.
