  1. I could swear that at one point B&M said they'd never go as high as 300 feet... Of course, after almost every "Die Hard" movie, Bruce Willis said he'd "never" make another Die Hard movie... so whatever.
  2. RE: the "X-Works" code (just something I've picked up working for a company that does a lot of international shipping): that simply means the customer is responsible for picking up the goods at the factory dock; they are responsible for all shipping and transportation. It's used as a shipping designation worldwide. (Sometimes a manufacturer will include shipping and freight as part of the total cost of production, but not in this case.) FYI. Whatever this ride is though, I'm super-psyched. And I really hope it's called Leviathan. That is a bitchen name.
  3. I only rode Drachen Fire a couple of times, but I do recall that the bizarre "cutback" first drop/inversion was pretty thrilling. And the light-up-at-night trains were sweet. Love it or hate it, that was a unique ride.
  4. Freaking ridiculous. That whole area is jaw-droppingly beautiful. Can't wait for more.
  5. Definitely feeling the love grow for this attraction. Haunted-forest-themed rollercoaster/dark rides are welcome at any park, far as I'm concerned.
  6. ^ I know, RIIIGHT?!?! Cosmoworld looks amazing. And I'm almost positive it got smashed up good in "Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle for Earth?" Or at least the big Ferris wheel? Japan... if only you were Canada... (no offense to Canada; you're awesome, too.)
  7. ^As an Obama supporter, that was hard to miss. As I recall, Pennslvania went fairly Blue in 2012. /political
  8. Lots of great shots in here! This is another park I'm sorry I never visited while I was still living on the East Coast. Those three flume rider close-ups totally made me LOL. And Mind Warp looks like a complete nightmare. I'll take the Tilt-A-Whirl, thank you very much.
  9. More great stuff and I love the baby-blue SkyRush bits and pieces. And you can never get enough Lightning Racer shots... awesome from every angle. So, would the B and S that are the "only difference" between Obama and Osama stand for "Bang!" and "Splash!" ?
  10. Massively cool report. Knoebels is already slathered in awesome, but when they get both Black Diamond and Flying Turns open, they will go supernova. Bless them for saving and plussing the Golden Nugget (had no idea it is now completely enclosed)! And I also really, really like Twister, but Pheonix is out of control. Easily in my top ten wooden coasters.
  11. ^ Totally agree. I had no idea Canobie was so well put together. Bummed that I never visited the years I lived back East. And all the pinball! Well done, Canobie!
  12. The "weathered urban Japanese-ness" of this park is fantastic. Love it all. And, yeah, that is one hella big tower.
  13. ^ ^^ Damn kids... I say "good riddance" as well. And to all our friends at Six Flags America: I am so very, deeply sorry. Typhoon SeaCoaster, we hardly knew ye.
  14. Sweet reports; again, so glad to hear that Boulder Dash is running in top form. What a brilliant ride. Haven't been to SFNE since the Bizarro make-over, but I'm digging the new look. Miss that one a lot, too. Now if we can just get Garfield out of Kennywood, I'll be even happier. I think the original name of the new mouse was supposed to be "DC Comics and Warner Bros. Present: Gotham City Gauntlet: Escape From Arkham Asylum: A 'Batman: The Dark Knight' Roller Coaster Adventure." Glad they went with the shorter version. And I think that's a "Hunie?"
  15. I totally loved the ExtraTERRORestrial Encounter; my guess is that it was about as disturbing as a Disney attraction will ever get (and I truly hope I'm wrong on that.) The 3D audio effects were incredible. My question is to anyone who's experienced both it and the "Stitch Encounter" revamp: how different is the Stitch thing? But overall, I'm a complete sucker for dark rides, from Spidey all the way down to cheesy traveling carney spook houses. No joke: I will someday own one. Going to make that happen, come hell or high water.
  16. That WAS a nice piece! Well done, NBC a-Philly-ate! (Missing nighttime ERT on "El Toro" = sticking white-hot knitting needles into my nether regions.)
  17. Right now, very high on my list are "Expedition Everest" and "Harry Potter/Journey" but I've been told to wait until the Yeti is back in action before hitting EE. And I'm going to be checking off HPatFJ in October. Very psyched. But below that are pretty much every park in Japan... it's a long list. Great topic!
  18. Those Kawasemi shots are, indeed, reverse-cowgirl-sexy. Holy jebus. Fantastic work, among your best, easily. I get physically ill with jealousy when I read things like this.
  19. Thanks for these vids. FR may not be much of a ride overall, but I'm such a sucker for launches and this looks damn sweet.
  20. GREAT shots! Love the parkour-themed spin 'n' spew! "District B13: The Ride!" My desire to get to a European fair is as bad as my need to visit/live in Japan.
  21. Sure, we'll have to wait a bit longer for that steel coaster, but this thing looks like a ton of fun!
  22. Man, I totally love the look of this so far. We need more badass sci-fi-themed coasters! (That aren't woodies. ) And if it truly is about robotic killer bees from the future, I am SO IN.
  23. Man, do I wish Sega would build a few of those Joypolises (Joypoli?) in the States. That whole joint does look fun (bummer that the coaster gets such a bad wrap). And those White Canyon trains are just a giant pile of fail... but great shots of them!
  24. Finally got around to checking out this PTR, and yes, MAJOR FAIL at your fail attempt. This is very cool, and it really did give me a flavor of this park that I hadn't gotten before: much more "old-school ocean boardwalk" than I had thought. (Fail on my part since it is called "Indiana Beach.") Makes me want to visit this place more than ever.
