  1. I actually have a "Banshee" t-shirt, so I can confirm that this is true. However, my gut (and those lavishly over-designed shirts) tell me that this name is a done deal. At least for the first season.
  2. Icing on the cake, baby. This is looking more mouth-watering every day. Also, "Mr. Six's Dance Coaster" name > "Cheetah Hunt" name.
  3. ^^That does make sense. So it could be called a "Flop Hat?"
  4. ^I'll be the first to admit that I've NEVER thought of an inversion like this. I'm kind of slow that way. *drools.* But I'm glad someone did.
  5. This is the kind of quirky park visit that looks like the most appealing part of a TPR trip: Totally unique place, the hotel take-over, the homemade dinner/BBQ, the alpine slide, etc. Giant corporate theme parks with huge rides are not that hard to get to, but parks like this one are. Very cool.
  6. Hmmm, I must say I'm not too impressed... really doesn't look all that interesting to me... not really very exciting in any way... [secretly trying not to go ballistic with horrible anger that a trip to Japan in the near future is very unlikely] Seriously, though, all our compadres in Japan deserve some good fortune. Here's hoping this is indeed as OMFG-righteous as it looks.
  7. I can never get enough of these off-season shots. Especially in the grey, rainy weather - adds to the wistfulness of them. Very cool.
  8. BADASS!!! 100 freaking percent badass. Awesome, sweet, gorgeous, awesome photos of one of the best looking coasters I've seen in a long time. Thanks so much!
  9. Loving that TOT2 video a bit too much. That launch tunnel is TEH HOTNESS. I'm hoping our good friends at Magic Mountain are thinking about some further upgrades to ol' Supes... Also, koalas FTW!!!!!
  10. Those Flowrider photos are the bomb. It looks like wiping out is at least half the fun!
  11. Actually, the spiders are dumped in a blender and whipped into a frosting that goes on top of the cake. It's a common phrase down under: "Put anathah spidah in tha blenda for me, mate!" True story.
  12. Jet Rescue does indeed look like a blast! [thinks about Pony Express and sighs] And thanks to this latest update, that giant hairy spider no longer haunts my dreams. Alfred E. Neuman's Australian cousin, drooling over canned fish, has replaced it.
  13. Awesome, awesome, awesome report! Any park that has TWO coasters with dark ride sections gets immediate and unending love from me. Super-happy-fun-win. Always great to see more images of the mythic "Orphan Rocker." What an oddity. How cool is Australia? They have a zombie walk day? With cute babe zombies? More super-happy-fun-win. On the special Luna Park lunch menu, did anyone else read the dessert item as "Floorless" cake? (B&M needs to branch out into baking for sure.) BIG thumbs up for that Australia tour T-shirt design! Really excellent. That may be my favorite TPR shirt design so far. Last, I also screamed like a little girl when I saw the picture of that freaking disgusting spider. NASTY!!!
  14. Hearty round of applause to the person/team that art directed this project. That is Disney-quality work right there.
  15. Do so. The WCB is just wall-to-wall ass-kicking fun. I don't know if local weather coverage noted this, but it didn't rain water this past weekend; it rained AWESOME SAUCE, baby! Thanks again to everyone who worked tirelessly on this event, including the TPR crew, the Magic Mountain and Berry Farm hosts and ride ops who stuck it out in the cold, wet weather so we could run around like maniacs, the tour guides and presentation speakers, the food preparers (lunches both days were excellent!), etc, etc., etc. Just another 360 days, roughly, till the next one!
  16. Word. Except instead of "like," I'd throw in "worship slavishly," or "love to a stalkerish degree" or something else along those lines.
  17. Remember that scene in John Carpenter's spectacular remake of "The Thing," where that dead guy's head separates itself from the neck, falls to the floor, and sprouts spider legs out of the mouth? And then the spider-head starts walking around? And remember that one dude's reaction? What he said.
  18. Would sure love to see some singing mushrooms return...
  19. ^Ditto on both comments. Also, let me see if I have this right: an ice cream burger is a burger with a scoop of ice cream on it? Is that right? Because if that's right, that is very, very wrong. However, chicken-fried bacon looks like it is every kind of right.
  20. Great updates and agreed on the classic Shock Wave art and logo; lightning bolts and spiky typeface make it good.
  21. Great report; thanks so much! It kills me that I haven't been to this awesome park since forever. (Last time I was there, "Dinosaur" was still "Countdown To Extinction.") These are some of the best photos of "Expedition Everest" that I've seen and they fill me with toxic levels of want.
  22. To which GhostRider replies, "Your mother rides Psyclone IN HELL!!!"
  23. Sounds like tiger blood flows freely through this one... very, very, very, very, very excited. VERY.
  24. This report has buried the needle on my win-meter. It's like the TPR equivalent of a classic Woody Allen movie. Man, I am missing New York so much right now...
