Are you a redneck or a Yankee?
SixFlagsTexas replied to CoasterJunkie's topic in Random, Random, Random
Hey Y'all, I'm a 78% (Dixie). My neck must be at least pink! -
What do you mean by brainwashed?! Personally, I was upset to read that. Christians listen to christian music, and any other music they enjoy, we are not being "brainwashed". The bands mentioned are actually good bands. Or maybe I'm not following what you are saying. SixFlags "Not flaming" Texas

The "Say Something Random" Thread
SixFlagsTexas replied to robbalvey's topic in Random, Random, Random
Gosh, what a terrible Weekend. All the football and baseball teams I wanted to win lost, and the teams I wanted to loose, won. Texas Tech - Lost Baylor - Lost Dallas Cowboys - Lost (Terrible Game) Houston Astros - Lost NY Giants - Won Phy Eagles - Won Washington Skins - Won Astros better win tonight, or it will be a rough weekend. I've already had to spend 10 hours this weekend on a geography project. -
I put it in my zipped or buttoned part of my shorts. I almost lost one of my cameras on S:KC because I left it in my hand pockets and it almost flew out. If a coaster is using a one train operation, just leave it in the bin because no one will be passing by it while you are enjoying your ride.

Worst patrons?
SixFlagsTexas replied to imbordisux's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
SFAW was the worse from what I've been to. From moms yelling and cursing at their children for all to hear, to ride ops cursing into the station microphone for other children to hear. The staff and patrons were a bit harsh that day. -
Theme Park hauntings and ghosts
SixFlagsTexas replied to AllisonY2K's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Apparently there is a yellow house at SFOT that is said to be haunted, just before the Titan walkway. The house used to be owned by a family before the park moved in. A girl lived there by the name of Amy (or annie) and she drowned in Johnson Creek which runs through the park. On my last visit I took a good look at it and I though I saw some kind of a faint figure in the window with the curtains open, but I'm still not sure. A couple of hours later I looked again, but this time the curtains were closed half-way. Today I tell myself there could be an explanation, or was it something unexplainable? -
^ I was disappointed with XLR-8, I had never been on a suspended coaster before, and it turned out to be very tame, I expected better. I voted for Greezed Lightning because it was one of the two coasters there that was better than my expectations. Here's my rankings... 1. Greezed Lightning 2. Viper 3. Texas Cyclone 4. B:TE 5. Serial Thriller 7. Ultra Twister 8. Mayan Mindbender

I don't know why SFAW got a bad rap. I loved my trip to Houston and it was well worth the trip. SWAT was amazing and Greezed Lightnin, Viper, and Texas Cyclone were great coasters. Ultra Twister, Serial Thriller, and Batman: The Escape were fun and enjoyable. Dungeon Drop was my first drop ride, and it will be interesting to see how these rides will end up. I still need Serpent's credit. Hopefully I can make it out to Houston in October.

Parks Coasters and Rides in Movies and TV
SixFlagsTexas replied to spike's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They actually filmed at SFFT for Blank Check. They rode on Rattler, Power Surge, Die Fledermaus (chair swings), and Dornroschen (Carousel). In the movie they called SFFT, "Cliffs Funland." -

Here's a few from the July 4th, Texas vs. Boston game I went to at Ameriquest Field, just next door to SFOT. It was the most recent "professional" game I attended. Sorry, it's not soccer. It's July 4th... It's a full house... Bottom of the ninth, 1 out, and Texas needs one run to win the game... Base hit. RANGERS WIN! "Hurry, let's go before SFOT closes!" -
For me, I'm not so sure. I have had some "strange" experiences, but I'm not sure if I was hearing or seeing things. I live in a new house, and I have had no weird feelings or sightings. I have had frightening situations at some houses I've been to. I thought I saw a figure in the yellow candy store at SFOT that is said to be haunted. Although my mind could have played a few tricks on me. I actully have a HUGE fear of looking into mirrors at night or in dark places (lame, I know)

Here's the carrabas locater, so many to choose from, don't know if this is much help. There's no search on the site to look for Bret Baumgartner. :? Edit: They give the owner names under "Map & Hours Operation" http://carrabbas.know-where.com/carrabbas/ -
