  1. FOF is very forceful and twisty and that's why I love it, but there was quite a noticeable rattle when it went through some of those inversions and turns....I imagine he the headbanging was horrible before they got rid of the OSTRs.
  2. I love FOF as it is right now, but the way it operates, I just KNEW that OSTRs made the ride super-painful.
  3. This person wanted to put a scooter on a roller coaster. I'm dying just visualizing that
  4. Heh....you're my favorite parody coaster maker, you know that? You're awesome.
  5. That being said, I'm still surprised that Disney bought the rights to Marvel. It really should have been Cedar Fair. It would have seriously evened out the score when it comes to Six Flags vs Cedar Fair. Six Flags has DC, Cedar Fair has Marvel.
  6. Any chance this coaster will ever re-open?
  7. http://rcdb.com/4328.htm I'm talking about the really strange inverted/sitdown Vekoma racing coaster that is at Universal Studios in Singapore. It looks like a really cool ride and it's been SBNO since last year. I'm curious to know what happened to it? With that in mind, Vekoma really needs to think about adopting a brand new style of track for a new kind of mass-produced SLC. I feel like the new style of Vekoma track would make for a much more smooth and thrilling ride than the hang and bang's were all too familiar with.
  8. Then again, it was the 1980s where Vekoma thought up of the boomerang coaster...Arrow never did anything like that.
  9. Weren't Vekoma MK-1200 looping coasters essentially Arrow knockoffs themselves? I mean, look at Ninja at Six Flags St. Louis. Before I did my research, I always thought that Ninja at Six Flags Over Georgia was the Vekoma and the one at SFSTL was an Arrow. Ninja at SFOG had the Vekoma support structure and the weird double loop thing that Arrow never had, so its kind of a giveaway that it's not an Arrow, but the SFSTL one? That one is a dead ringer for a classic Arrow looper, the same support latticework, the same kind of inversions that Anaconda at KD has...Loop, Immelmann, double corkscrew and overall looks like an Arrow... It almost seems like it wasn't until recently that Vekoma came into their own and did their own thing.
  10. This is really shaping up to be a great game/program....I really can't wait until the final boxed version comes out.
  11. The first time I ever had a fear of dying on a ride was the first time I ever went on Skyrush at Hershey. I put my hands up and unconsciously leaned over on the first drop and I literally thought I was going to slip through the restraints and fall out of the ride. This was also a few weeks after the NTAG incident, so that'll put things in perspective for you. Because of that, I feel the "thigh crushing" restraints are actually the best part about Skyrush. Your legs are completely pinned down, but you have so much freedom on your upper body and going at 75mph and experiencing some killer ejector air adds to the "fear" of dying on the ride.
  12. IF RIDDEN THE RIGHT WAY.....They can be awesome. Yes, I've been on Shockwave at KD. Surprisingly, not that horrible of a ride.
  13. Well....it's realistic. I'll definitely give it that, but this NL2 park, I will NOT fantasize about it being real. No sir.
  14. Wow...I mean, if it was an SLC like Jubilee Odessey, then I'd say "Okay, its a pretty smooth and thrilling SLC and it's something different" but Kumba in Israel is just your normal average everyday SLC. Even if it was smooth, it would pale in comparison to ANY B&M invert.
  15. Oh you're killing me.... In all seriousness though, I know my parks aren't perfect....Compared to other parks like Six Flags Wild Northwest, East Side Lagoon and Valley Hills, neither TGA or Gateway Park can hold a candle to any of them.....But I like to believe that I put in a very good effort for this park.....I'm very satisfied with the way Steel Savage and Hercules-The Revenge came out. All the others were cool too.
  16. Looks a lot like a Chance Toboggan to me.... Oh...Chinese RIPOFF....Derpityderp.
  17. Oh my God....I can't believe I never thought of that when the Colossus incident happened....
  18. Well...Surprise! I broke down and decided to give my park a proper final update that never got delivered...This post will basically showcase all that's happened to Tennessee's Great America after Kelly Ducharme announced in early 2013 that she would cease updating her "Kelly's Coasters" blog and would be moving away from her hometown in Knoxville, TN. She currently resides in Wyoming as of 2013...But enough of this senseless chatter. On to the good stuff! As expected, Exciter, the B&M Wing Coaster was a rousing success and is currently the highest-rated out of all of the B&M wing coasters in the U.S. A coaster critic writes ,"Exciter blows Gatekeeper into the water. This coaster has it all, nine inversions which deliver a healthy dosage of hang time and a few pops of some killer floater airtime. The "Twin Zero G-Roll" keyhole element I found to be the most ingenious element of any coaster at Tennessee's Great America. The in-line twist finale after the brake run provided TONS of hang-time and was a neat way to wrap up a solid B&M coaster. TGA really has a winner on their hands." Also, the refurbishment of Fireball, the park's Arrow Dynamics looping coaster was also highly rated. Another coaster critic wrote that the new Maurer-Sohne trains and the retracking by Vekoma really breathed new life into Fireball and made a rough coaster that was barely rideable in 2012 be restored back to it's former glory. Around mid-season 2013, a plot of land was cleared in the space wedged between Hang-Time, Fireball, and Exciter. In September of that year, it was announced that Tennessee's Great America would get the tallest attraction ever built in the park. The plot of land was too small for a coaster, so that was ruled out immediately. Coaster enthusiasts on multiple forums began to speculate that TGA was getting a large Intamin A.G Gyro-Drop tower similar to Mach Tower at Busch Gardens Williamsburg....However, I knew right from the start that it wasn't going to be the case. Tennessee's Great America was a major park in the Cedar Fair chain to not have a certain attraction..... So I knew right from the start that it wasn't going to be an Intamin Gyro-Drop...It was going to be a Mondial Windseeker....and my prediction came true. WindSeeker was announced in late 2013 and was scheduled to open in 2014. WindSeeker all in all was a moderate success when it opened. Marketed as a family ride, this ride was obviously IMMENSELY popular amongst families with children. Also in 2014, Hercules: The Revenge, the Intamin A.G LSM multi-launching coaster and currently the fastest roller coaster in the park was given a fresh coat of paint from white and black to all white. This obviously is a product of the recurring theme that Cedar Fair's coasters are brightly colored. Suddenly, in August of 2014. It became known that a long strip of land was cleared in between the Elmwood Lake and Hercules the Revenge....At that time, rumors started flying that Tennessee's Great America was going to get it's thirteenth roller coaster which were later confirmed in a press conference, however the make and model of the coaster was left unknown....Immediatley, several coaster forums began to speculate anything that could fit into that small space. My prediction was that TGA was going to get an Intamin Half-Pipe, seeing as how it was the only coaster that came to mind that could fit... However, I was wrong. On September 1st, 2014...OVERDRIVE was announced. As you can plainly see from this picture, Overdrive will be a clone of Superman: Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. It appears that Premeir Rides is really mass producing this model. I mean, it's all but confirmed that Busch Gardens Williamsburg is getting one and now, basically a state away, Tennessee's Great America just confirmed that their getting one too. But hey, SUF at SFDK is a great ride...I wouldn't mind more of them popping up. With the addition of Overdrive, this means that Tennessee Great America will have the most multi-launching coasters of any park. With Venom, the Intamin Inverted Impulse coaster, Hercules: The Revenge- The Intamin Blitz, and now Overdrive, the Premeir launching coaster..... The ride experience is as follows for these types of Premeir Launched coasters. First, it launches halfway up the first hill, and then backwards to the top of the non-inverting loop. Finally, it launches out of the station accelerating riders to a top speed of 62 miles per hour (100 km/h). It then travels up to a height of 150 feet (46 m) where it completes a non-inverting half-loop and a barrel roll before exiting in a second non-inverting half-loop. It then enters a full non-inverting loop before returning to the station. Overdrive is slated to open in 2015. The Stats of Overdrive... I really hope you like this final update for TGA!
  19. Idk....Sidewinder is a pretty damn good ride.
  20. This. It's a very underrated coaster. It won't blow your mind but it's a lot of fun. The Gs on the loop are pretty powerful for such an aged coaster.
  21. Fun Fact: Revenge of the Mummy is the last coaster ever built to date that uses LIMs instead of LSMs.
  22. You know, with B&M finally building a true launching coaster, I'd somewhat expect that this would open up a world of opportunity for them when it comes to future roller coasters. Me, I'd personally would love to see a launched Invert (like Volcano) or a launched Flyer.
  23. Thanks that you like it I didn't had enough space and pieces for a bigger Airtime hill. I was using the micro K'nex track because I only have one K'nex building set Wait, you only have one Knex set? And you made Kingda Ka with it? That's pretty impressive.
  24. Possessed at Dorney Park...the year it was called Voodoo. Prior to that, I was so scared of launched coasters, I had no problem with coasters like Steel Force, Hydra, and Talon....But it was something about being launched without warning that got to me. Even to this day, I still get some butterflies in my stomach when I ride coasters like Flight of Fear and Volcano-The Blast Coaster....despite those being some of my favorite rides in KD behind I305. After riding Voodoo/Possessed, I knew that all kinds of coasters were nothing to fear...And when I eventually rode on Storm Runner, that became one of my favorite rides in Hershey...
  25. The good: The top-hat is really good. The supports are really realistic and I love the fact that you added a little zumanjaro to it The bad: The second hill is WAY too small. There is way too little space between the station and transfer track and also, I would have preferred it if you used the classic Knex coaster pieces.
