  1. IMO, there's no contest which coaster(s) is better. Dragons all the way.
  2. There are so many things I could say, but why bother. ...at least Mitch's poll comes out in a couple months.
  3. ^^You do bring up a good point, with Goliath (SFOG) and now Behemoth not having the pre-drop, I wonder if there's a reason for this. ...but like you said, there are a few exceptions before 2004, cough Nitro cough.
  4. NFL- Miami Dolphins MLB- NY Mets NHL- NJ Devils NBA- NJ Nets College FB- Syracuse and Boise State College BB-Syracuse ...and for the record, I grew up in northern Jersey.
  5. My two favorite Broadway musicals are Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. ...and I was lucky enough to see both in NY.
  6. I never wait till the last minute, and I can't stand it when other drivers do.
  7. Favorite cartoon characters- Let's see, growing up my favorites were Tom & Jerry, Popeye, and Woody Woodpecker. Favorite TV show character- Don't really have one. Favorite movie characters- Indiana Jones, Luke Skywalker, Yoda, Obi-Wan, Han Solo, and those are just to name a few.
  8. ^^Sorry to hear that you hated it. I'm a Rob Zombie movie fan, so I'll go see it anyway on Wednesday.
  9. I see quite a bit has been done, since the last pictures I saw. ...and I really like the tiger. Thanks for the pics.
  10. Anybody see the new Halloween yet? Unfortunately, I have to wait till the middle of next week. Stupid work.
  11. While not a very good POV, it does give you a general idea of the ride. Congrats again on your new woodie.
  12. It's always interesting to see the Japan TRs, since you never know what you're going to get.
  13. A one hour wait for Timber Terror? When I went back in 05' the longest I waited was 10 minutes for the front, and that was 2 days after the 4th of July. I guess I just lucked out. Anyway, very nice PTR. It's always nice to see pics of my favorite woodie duo, thanks.
  14. IMO Kings Dominion needs a coaster to bring some life back into the park, and what better way to do that than with a B&M. Whether it's Dominator or a new coaster, they need one that's a people eater and has some length to it. They just have too many coasters that last less than 2 minutes.
  15. Very nice PTR, but you lost creditability when you called Anaconda a great ride. Just Kidding. I do have one question, where's all this ejector air you're talking about. Anyway, very good job. Thanks.
  16. ^ I agree. The pre-drop gives the train a running start on the drop. When I go on Apollo I'm out of my seat the whole drop, but when I'm on Nitro I don't really leave the seat at all.
  17. Glad to hear it's almost ready for the public.
  18. Until B&M hypers can produce similar ejector air, I won't even put any of their coasters in the same sentence with S:ROS (SFNE).
  19. ^All this ShadyBrook talk is making me hungry.
  20. ^Pompeii and the log Flume will be open. As for Roman Rapids, they have used the queue line for their Halloween event in the past, so it may or may not be open.
  21. ^LOL. There's a 100% chance he's pulling these numbers out his a**.
  22. ^Having the best airtime at Kings Dominion is not saying much. ...and please don't tell me what my opinion should be, thank-you. It's my opinion and my opinion alone, so deal with it.
  23. I couldn't agree more. I've been saying for a couple years that they should remove Anaconda, Shockwave, and Hurler. ...and add a B&M and/or an Intamin coaster. I agree 100% that Anaconda should be ripped out, but Shockwave and Hurler? Hurler needs some re-tracking. But Shockwave... It has the 3rd longest line whenever I go to KD. Volcano and FoF always beat it. But Shockwave's line always spills out of the entrance. And when I rode it it wasn't that rough except for that final turnaround before the brakes. I'll grant yout that Hurler has been running better this season (they have done some retracking around the big banked curves at either end). Shockwave's line is usually hideously long because it takes so long to check the restraints and dispatch the trains, so I'm not sure it's a mark of popularity as much as it is a capacity/operations problem. Yea, it doesn't take much for the line to get backed up when they dispatch a train once every 5 to 7 mins. As for Hurler, I agree it's running better this year, but still IMO it a very boring ride.
  24. It's an easy choice for me. ...Intamin first, and GCII second.
