  1. Actually, we're totally planning to go to Lagoon for a long weekend next year! Lagoon, S&S, Park City...should be fun!
  2. Are they really building a topple tower? If so, don't worry, it will probably be done by 2016 the way they build things at that park! So is the Dragon Mountain theming done again for the next 20 years? Or are they still working on it?
  3. Wouldn't seeing everything from the old man's eyes either mean it's all blurry or covered in smoke?? Seriously, nice start! Can't wait to see more!
  4. Hold on! Disney lowered the prices of their drinks so they are some of the cheapest of all the big parks now!
  5. Pfft! Don't bother sending it to Robb! I'm managing this thread, and I have already added anyone who showed interest to the list!
  6. I didn't ride it, but I thought it looked pretty slow.
  7. ^^You do know it's a 12 hour drive between the two parks right??? Unless you're flying, I don't think those are two parks to do together on the same trip!
  8. Remember, that the new Disney ticket prices seem very expensive for a one day / one park ticket, but that's because of their new structure which is really, super a good idea for screwing over Universal and Sea World! Sure it's around $70 for a one day, one park ticket, but if you are making an Orlando vacation out of it and staying 7 days...it's only $32 a day! Much cheaper than any other Florida Amusement Park! They're just trying to encourage people to spend those extra two days at Disney, instead of going over to Universal/Sea World/Busch. It's genius business!
  9. The station is underground, the inversion is underground, right over the station. We got some *amazing* video, and will post some of it at some point! Seriously, Tornado blew me away! I had wanted to ride it since I saw it being constructed, then when I rode the other Intamin Tornado in April, I was kind of disappointed. Finland Tornado did not disappoint at all! It had airtime, forces, and one of the cooles inversions EVER!
  10. There are certain things you do to minimize the effects of jetlag. Try to sleep on the plane, avoid alcohol and caffene, eat lightly, and once you get to the new time zone, FORCE yourself to be on their schedule starting the very first day. It gets harder and harder as you get older, but still totally doable, and a must if you travel like Robb and I do!
  11. No one ever said Aska wasn't good, nor were the ops not friendly! The rest of the park though. Pretty Meh. The bobsled ride was stupid, pointless and only ran one car. The Screw Coaster, well, typical corkscrew. Wacky Worm. The junior coaster was closed for a lot of us. Most other rides were carnival rides, and let's not forget the Jungle Cruise to Malaria Lake. The park as a whole when we were there looked like it hadn't been kept up at all. You mention the monorail and skyride, those have each been close for almost 5 years. The kids play area that had been left to rot into splinters and mold! Yeah, so they had a good wooden roller coaster and friendly operations (what park in Japan doesn't have friendly good ops!?) That was pretty much it!
  12. I didn't even realize there were so many Lagoon Fanboys!!! Although they do seem a bit 'fairweather' since we haven't heard from them until now!
  13. I don't think it's silly, nor is it that far! With all the discount European Carriers it seems like a fun little day trip. As for crowds, I hear they're pretty non-existant. Maybe a 20 minute wait for Ge Force here and there, but just be prepared to wait in case they're only running one train. Have fun!

  15. ^Larry, you'll just have to come with us to Japan where there are 1st Gen Freefalls everywhere!!!!
  16. ^Or a big fan of the queue?
  17. I'm sure there is already a topic like this out there.
  18. Nope, we never made it on Moonsault Scramble. There's a big concrete bed where it used to be inside of Dodonpa.
  19. Weather in Japan in Early September is very hot and sticky! Except for Fuji-Q where I was cold in pants and a warm shirt!
  20. ^No, we're not. No problem if you're there at 5:59...but show up at 6:01 and there will be hell to pay...if we're still there waiting for you! The UK trip seemed to go so well, in part because most of the time we made all of our depatures early! (Thanks to our awesome group!)
  21. ^^^& ^Didn't I tell you not to post in this thread anymore!?!??! Seriously, the fanboy thing is none of your business.
  22. You have to realize that most of the people on the trip came as singles! Some people knew some people, some people knew no one! Everyone met people and had fun, and had groups! The people that were being dubbed the 'fanboys' would follow us around constantly.
  23. ^Benzo, if you want to be considered for any of the trips, I would really suggest you stop posting in this thread NOW! Small parks, can handle 50 people last time I checked.
