  1. Hey there, I was just sent over some awesome Aerial pix from a photo shoot for Give Kids The World (Excellent charity, go support them now!!! http://www.gktw.org/ ) of Epcot and Magic Kingdom...check them out! The best part is, some of them really give you a scale of how big the Fantasyland Expansion is! (click on the images for larger size) Epcot, looks busy! Space Mountain New Fantasyland Construction. I see you tiny Beast Castle! I see you giant better than Disneyland Castle!
  2. ^If it helps, I know a few years ago we were talking with the Korean parks about roller coaster operations during the winter and they will not guarantee, but they try to run what they can as long as the temperature is above freezing and it's not snowing. Don't know if that's changed at all, but that's what we were told back then. As far as the SLC Rip Off in sub-freezing weather...well...it's not like it could get much worse right?!
  3. ^Hopefully you'll be okay as long as you avoid Chinese New Year's time. When we went it wasn't that crowded, but poor operations made all lines long after ERT even when they shouldn't have been.
  4. I like the idea of having a small kids ride right near the Cars ride. I spent many times sitting in the Test Track show room baby swapping before KT hit 40"!
  5. ^Oh, I agree the show is bad, I just don't like the new mentality that everything bad must be replaced with Potter.
  6. ^The MF Trains didn't help at all. The ride is so beat to hell it just kills you. You could slap a lazyboy/Intamin train on it and it would still destroy your body. My ride on Lion at Busch Gardens Bash was in my top 5 worst wooden coaster rides EVER.
  7. ^^That box is amazing. Go USPS, although FedEx is no better if you saw the video making the rounds today! Hi, your job is to deliver packages, not play basketball with them!
  8. It's amazing what unlimited slave power can do! Pyramids, Greece, Dubai, etc.
  9. I've done the one at Universal and that's my limit as I would *NEVER* eat anything disgusting or touch any bug. I don't think I've ever seen a 'physical' stunt I wouldn't do, and I'm fine with reptiles and rodents, but I would need a whole lot more than $50k for insects, and I don't know if there's any amount of money to eat that crap.
  10. ^The Knott's Area hotels can be *really* sketchy. We're planning on staying at the Knott's Hotel, it will certainly be easier, faster, and we may even have some get togethers there outside of the official event!
  11. ^I know I would double lock my door and take any valuables with me! Awesome though! We're hoping to have registration open any day now!!! Just waiting on some last minute pricing issues from the parks!
  12. ^Every time we have Q&A with park management at the Cedar Fair parks I ask about switching to Coke...when we have Q&A with the ex-Paramount Parks I ask how long they will keep coke, and if there's a chance they'll keep it when the contract is up. From what I've been told the different ex-Paramount parks have different contract expiration dates and they are open to basically whoever gives them the better deal. Come on Coke, bring it home!
  13. We were talking about this aspect of the 'resort' in another thread. Especially the staff, and hotel, etc. I really don't think they'll ever change so at least we can just keep visiting when they put something in that's decent and try to ride it before it's gone to hell!
  14. ^I am *VERY* curious to see how Fireball is running. You have to remember though, that even these bigger parks can have issues. Don't forget the park that GCI just built their giant coaster at is the same park that killed a bunch of people earlier in the year! I know that a lot of the 'real' manufacturers are putting their own people and money into watching their rides for some time to confirm that they're being maintained properly, just don't know how long that it's feasible to keep that up.
  15. ^LOL! That's true...but still...have you seen some of the Chinese parks!?!?
  16. ^Again, this has been the rumor since Jaws closing was announced...with those exact details. This has already been discussed and talked about. I don't think we're talking about any big new rumor here.
  17. ^Please don't ever remind me of Mt. Olympus' water coaster!!!!!!
  18. ^I only wish there were higher up observation decks!!!
  19. ^Yeah, I mean, I don't think it's that special of a building itself, but it always reminds me of Tokyo, you can see those glowing red lights on top, I just love it!
  20. ^I really like those Boomerang slides, happy to see more of them being built.
  21. We were pretty close when we went to Belantis on the Oktoberfest Trip! Robb and I are seriously considering the 'Robb & Elissa's Weird Parks of Europe' Trip. I assume we'd end up in the eastern Germany area then!
