  1. I like the idea of a Facebook feed on the front page. Here's an example of how they do it on one of the sites I check out regularly, Cruise Critic. http://www.cruisecritic.com/news/ Actually, I like the layout of their front page as well to help motivate you guys! http://www.cruisecritic.com/ I could see the Facebook Feed going in place of two of the boxes on the side or something.
  2. Except these trains are like WDW's Space Mountain cars where each seat only holds one person. So you can't ride 'with' your child, just in front or behind, which doesn't do much good if they freak out. That's why we're suggesting the height requirement will end up going up quite a bit.
  3. Three days at Kings Island is ridiculous. Trip of a lifetime or not, the park will probably have some sort of skip the line program and no human should ever spend three days there.
  4. ^I know, but with the switch from tandem to individual, it's going to have to go up pretty high. It was 35", I'd say it's gotta go to 40" if not 42" at least.
  5. ^Yeah, reminds me of when Knott's killed Jaguar's height requirement.
  6. Welcome to the conversation Gregg! We started talking about this on the previous page, and yeah, all of us agree the restriction will have to go up, it's just a question of what to.
  7. ^No. But it just setback any progress or new construction as resources were diverted to areas of Japan that needed actual rebuilding.
  8. Just noticed that this hasn't been posted for at least three pages. http://themeparkreview.com/parks/pimages/Tokyo_DisneySea/The_Ultimate_TPR_Tokyo_DisneySea_Update/journey1.jpg And this thread is over.
  9. ^You just answered your own question. You haven't been on it, don't judge. Look, everyone knows I love Intamin rides, but this one is basically a glorified mine train. Much more like a B&M Hyper with gentle turns and floater air time. That's why some people like it, and some people rate it average. It's in Japan, goes through a Ferris Wheel and over a building, so it's still better than 99% of coasters out there...just not everyone's cup of tea!
  10. ^RCDB is very good, but they make mistakes. Make no mistake about it, Thunder Dolphin has not run with guests since December 2010. Like I had posted. They tested it briefly in April 2011, but it did not run with guests. The refresh was supposed to have new rides and attractions, but seems to have slowed down and become much more quiet lately.
  11. I have been following the 'situation' at La Qua for about 18 months now and have visited every other year since 2004. Here's the best description I can give: - Maintenance Worker got hurt by drop tower - Guest was killed on spinning mouse - Bolt/screw/something fell off of Thunder Dolphin onto a midway below (no injuries) All three of these things happened within about a three month period in 2010/2011. Then the large earthquake hit six weeks later. Japanese are very safety and image conscious, and these incidents were just unacceptable therefore the mouse is gone, tower is being taken down, and Thunder Dolphin sits in limbo. Before all of this happened they had been working on a big redo of the 'towerland' and indoor area of the park. Linear Gale had been taken out along with GeoPanic as part of a refresh. Now those plans seem to be taking a lot longer, if they ever get done at all. I fear we could be looking at a situation similar to Expoland. I don't think the entire park will disappear, but I could see it being the big ferris wheel and some smaller rides only from now on.
  12. ^Matterhorn was 35" height requirement, so upping it to match Space at 44" is a HUGE jump. That's kids that were riding it since 2 and 3 years old all of a sudden not being able to ride it again till they were 6 or older! I'm very curious to see what they decide.
  13. Have we gotten an updated height restriction with the new trains?
  14. Something about this being indoors seems really off for a 'luau'.
  15. Final chance for Dubai! If you are interested in the Dubai / Abu Dhabi and more trip, contact me ASAP! I am closing the trip this weekend!
  16. No. We rode Insane very soon after opening, in cool weather, and it was incredible. It really is just the fact that the SFMM one has more trims, and staff that doesn't let the ride do what it can do.
  17. ^Exactly. You want to get beat up at SFMM, go to the other side of the park to Arrow Junction and have X2 and Viper show you what it's like to really get beat up on a coaster.
  18. Wow, American's are pussies. Don't ever go to Sweden. That's a REAL Intamin Ball Coaster!
  19. Did I miss something? Is there a reason we're discussing manufacturer? I thought the plans said it was the same manufacturer as Saw?
  20. Tonight was AMAZING!!! Can't wait for more fun meet ups! Plus we'll have a very exciting announcement soon!
  21. ^Budget getting Fast Lane and Flash Pass at all parks that have it. You're going to need it.
