Something You Use Everyday That Costs $25-75?
SharkTums replied to Aceattack52's topic in Random, Random, Random
What!?!?? -
^Sure do. Also remember how quickly, safely and efficiently they got everyone off the ship. It also got hit farther away and the captain brought it to the sand bar so it wouldn't sink like the Concordia! It was one of the reasons we chose to do the Monarch last Fall as a comparison to our Klassy Kruise. It was the same kind of ship, had had a big accident (like the Ecstasy), was cheaper, shorter, and went to the same ports. Monarch blew Carnival crap away!

Those pancakes with syrup are even found in vending machines during the winter with that same hand warmer so you can warm them up!!! I love Japan. -
Six Flags St. Louis (SFStL) Discussion Thread
SharkTums replied to Homer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^LOL! I just keep wondering why I see this thread getting so much action!?!? I mean, it's SFStL and a Boomerang?!!? Is there really that much to talk about? -
^Yeah, that's going to be about right (though he should be able to include gratuities at least for you as well and some on board credit if you book a balcony or higher). With your dates you're pretty much stuck with a Sunday or Monday departure which limits your ships to the slightly older ones. If you're willing to go to Seattle you could get on a bigger, newer, cheaper NCL or Princess Ship, but that may be too much effort if you're going to be based in Vancouver. It will be fine whatever you choose. I would not spring for a suite for sure.

I'm not a fan of travel agents. If you give me the dates you're looking at I can give you an idea of pricing, what he should be offering you, etc. Personally, I would go for an interior cabin on a bigger, newer ship. But plenty of people will ONLY cruise in balconies. It's really what you feel you would enjoy the most. On a cruise like this with so few port days and a lot of days where you're supposed to just look out the window you'll probably want at least an outside cabin with window. Make sure to do the research as to which is the better side for views!

Everything he's saying is pretty right on. The 7 day round trip cruises cannot make it to all of the ports that the one way ones do, so that will be no different no matter what line you choose if that's the itinerary you're doing. As to the ship, Celebrity is a nice company, but this is one of the older ships. In fact I was on one of its sisters on a South America cruise over 10 years ago. The two sister ships have both already been retired and this is one of (if not the oldest) in the fleet. It's had a lot of work done which is good, but you can only add on so much. To give you an idea it's about the same size as our Klassy Cruise on the Carnival Ecstasy, so don't go expecting some giant new big open space cruise ship. This is certainly an 'old style' build.

^Carnival doesn't do anything. Cunard was a luxury brand and Carnival bought them to make money. There is nothing similar between the two other than they share the same parent organization. Luckily so far it doesn't seem like a lot of the Carnival Corporation cost cutting measures have infiltrated Cunard and Princess. They seem to be focusing on destroying Carnival and Costa right now.

Allow yourself plenty of time as Mexico City is notorious for terrible traffic. -
Fun Spot America Discussion Thread

^^It's the one from MGM. -
First of all, for the love of Cunard don't call it Carnival Cunard. Cunard was really one of the first cruise companies and is today very much about luxury and class systems. They are very nice and very different from the normal cruise lines.
