  1. Gerd comes through with the goodness yet again. Seriously dude, is there anything you can't do food wise? Keep up the great work as time permits, this thread is awesome. (As if I haven't said that like 10 time already.) Cheers, -Sean
  2. Daylight Saving time has officially hit the West Coast of the U.S. <----- Really hates loosing an hour of drawing/art time on a weekend. -Sean
  3. New Pixar Up theatrical trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SIhm4bNvII The dog kills me every time I've watched the clip. May can't get here soon enough. -Sean
  4. Mr. Six may look old, but he's truly young at heart as you can see. What better way to celebrate opening weekend 2009 at SFDK, then a ride on Tony Hawk's Big Spin? The shuttle for the Shady Oaks (Vallejo Chapter) retirement home ending up being late, so we saw him around the park catching some rides as it was getting dark.
  5. Here is a shot of some the new wood on Roar's first turn around. The top of the hill actually has a nice/small pop of air before diving to the left. I'm finally getting around to sifting through all of my photos from last weekend, so expect more soon hopefully. -Sean
  6. Maybe just an example of censoring advertising from children as disneyland is visited by children so much. Adbusters anyone? Do any other rides at disneyland have any proof of brand? But wait...There is alot of other advertising at Disney parks... Or perhaps this. Advertising is used to make money and sell products. I REALLY doubt kids would want to buy rides. So there's no point advertising a product that most kids would not be buying. EVery how long do you hear: "Mommy! I want a nice shiny super fast Vekoma launched coaster for my birthday please!" ~ Jess "Censorship is overrated" Chan
  7. My girlfriend and I were looking for a few ideas on what to cook for my parents on Sunday evening. Your cheesecake looks like a winner. Thanks Gerd!! -Sean
  8. This video used to crack me up when it would come on "The Box" back in the day. It's still major awesomeness to this very day.
  9. A local paper quoted me last year on why I love coasters, and what got me started besides my love of photography & travel. (A common thread with most thrill seekers it would seem!) Check it out: Nerdy eh? -Sean Vallejo Times Herald - May 11th, 2008 Edition
  10. Boomerang and Tony Hawk's Big Spin @ Six Flags Discovery Kingdom this past Saturday. See a larger version the THBS photo: http://sm2designs.com/screens/2.jpg Cheers, -Sean
  11. I caught a ride on Roar this past Saturday, and it's running in top shape again. The coaster got a nice chunk of track work replaced, and it's really brought back that nice GCI smoothness & speed IMO. (The first drop and turn around are greatly improved.) It even opened the season with two trains that seem to have gotten a bit of paint work over the off season, and that's first time I can remember that happening in years. You should be pleasantly surprised on your next visit. -Sean
  12. More new kids (err...camels) on the block, at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom this past Saturday. Wanna be startin' somethin' fool?
  13. As some others have said, I will be surprised if those are SFMM's final prices for Qbot rental, when all additions are paid for. I was at SFDK on Saturday, and snapped a photo of their new 2009 Flash Pass rental prices. Check out the price comparison for the two California Six Flags parks below: -Sean Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Six Flags Magic Mountain
  14. Hey Eric, I just sent you an add request. ^ -Sean

  18. I've only heard of the espresso version before, but I'm intrigued by the thought of a Rum soaked Tiramisu. (Maybe a Myers Dark Rum? Hmmmm) Thanks again Gerd for posting another update. This thread is awesome. -Sean
  19. Wicked Twister 2006 @ Cedar Point -Sean

  22. Wood panel Wicked Twister? Hmmmm....... -Sean Wicky Twister
  23. Why not just charge $10 bucks for the card and a year subscription, instead of bundling it with a TPR store credit? I guess that could be an option as an upgrade, but I would be more interested in just a flat membership fee & card personally.
  24. As my girlfriend always reminds me..... "Getting a vasectomy really isn't that bad of an option Sean." Also, the video above is an epic win for everything good about Ikea. Dane is now the official defeater of threads gone bad. -Sean
