The launch makes my eyes water so bad I can't see anything for the first half of the ride. Then you go over the top hat and feel like you are going to be thrown from the train. Not one of my favorite rides there. I wonder how far a person would be thrown going over the top hat if there was no lap bar?

I smoked a pork shoulder this last weekend. I have a Weber smoker and it has major draw backs but the results were good. I would love to move up to an Egg but need to do a lot more then smoking once a year to justify the cost. Love this thread and hope to see more results now that Summer is in full swing.

OK, I'm curious. How many people come to this gathering and how many dress the part? Are there more women then guys or is it pretty evenly split? You need to do a photo trip report with all the people and there tails.

^That would be cool but since the park just opened, it is probably not an option. Better options will be had for the people of Vegas when Cowabunga Bay opens next Spring!

This park is the only thing I can think of at the moment that would bring me to Kentucky. Hope it stays open for a while.

I expect plans are in the works to expand the park next year. There is only so much they can do in a short period of time. Now they have the time to plan out and add something unique to draw people back in.

Sounds like they still have a ways to go before this thing becomes reality. Don't think this is enough for a TPR stop on a trip to Europe!

I was thinking that too. They will be out there taking sound measurements when the fanboys are screaming and have to shut the ride.!

I'm guessing the waterpark is the easiest and least expensive to get going and will bring people in. They can bring the rides on the dry side online one at a time to expand the experiance for the waterpark users.

I find it odd too that Houston didn't get a shuttle. I guess they just got out bid by LA. What a shame.

I think Cowabunga will be the better park anyway and Shane can use what happened here on opening to improve their park next year opening day!

That is a bummer. I really like the ride.

I can see attending a big event for an opening but not for an announcement of a new attraction. Really have to be hardcore.

At least the people stuck in the tunnel were in the shade!
