Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom Discussion Thread
gisco replied to BarryH's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I forgot about that. The city goes by to fast when on the ride. I used to love to stand there and look at the model when I was a kid. Can we stop the Peoplemoover next time I'm there? -

Have coasters finally reached their peak?
gisco replied to eddytheviper's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think today we are in a holding pattern on height and speed. The economy probably has done more to slow things down then reaching the limits. There will come a time when a park somewhere will want the tallest or fastest coaster. I just don't thing we will see the leaps coasters have made in the last 15 years. -

I hope someone gets that too and keeps the lift as is. Very unique but I can see maintenance being a pain and replacing it with a standard lift hill. -

Never!!!! Of course she will never see it with the great ending it had in California. When at the end you got to go up the escalator and see the city of the future! -

Bremen Carnival: Freimarkt 2013
gisco replied to simon8899's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
German carnival's look so much better then the fairs we have here in the States! -
It has been interesting watching this all unfold. Incognito sounds like a jerk to begin with but for Martin to just walk off the team? Sounds like there is a little more to it like maybe more of the team and management is involved?

I need to make more time to read. I have a bunch of books lined up. Just never seems like there is enough time. Next up Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, A book my daughter got me for my birthday. -

Finally something is being done with the rides. Better then selling them for scrap! -
Yes, and I think that the news is stupid to even cover this..they said the treatment was a shot, a band-aid, and neosporin..sounds slightly more serious than a cat scratch. This is news? Er, if you work with wild animals for a living, you're going to be bitten or scratched from time to time. It's an occupational hazard. Exactly, if the wild animals were completely safe, guests could intermingle with them. The end of the article is interesting where the guy states it is not surprising the animal bit her. Doing the same tricks over and over, day after day, year after year would cause some sort of psychosis. I get a little tired of people trying to put human emotions and conditions on to animals.

TPR Readers! NEED YOUR FEEDBACK!!!
gisco replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I like the idea as an addition to what TPR has to offer. Like others have said, trim down some of the captions. For me I would rather see the standard photo trip reports, I like looking at the pictures and they go by to fast. Yeah, I know I could hit pause.
