Could these be the final days of Six Flags?

I'm always amused by threads like this. All the "Experts" are planning the the demise of SF. I wonder why the corporate execs at SF don't hire you guys because your such "Experts" -

Don't waste your time stopping here for a couple of Miller kiddie coasters. Wait until the new park opens if ever with supposedly 4 coasters. The problem I see with planning your California swing is the fact that most parks are not open during the week this time of year. Don't forget that California is a big state. The driving time from SFMM to CGA is probably around 5 hours. Where are you flying into and out of?

PTR, Japan and Korea take 2!!
gisco replied to Loefet's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That was one of the best days on the trip. ERT on two of the best coasters in the world. For a coaster that is pretty well hidden you had a lot of good pictures of Eagle Fortress, nice work Peter. -

Chapter 11 is not an uncommon thing for a company to do. We had a local water park that filed chapter 11 every year for years. They did it to protect what cash they had. If they didn't then the creditors would taken the cash and there would have been nothing left to prepare the park for the following season. Seasonal parks have to bank the cash they make in the summer to hold them over in the off season. If you didn't make enough in the summer then chapter 11 is a way to hold on to what little you have. I'm assuming this is the spot HRP is in today. HRP is no doubt losing money and they are just trying to hold on to any cash they have to make a go of it next year. I really think the park will open again. To much has been invested to call it quits so early. The scarey part for the investors is that they are have to invest even more in the short term to make this thing fly. They need to add shade, water features, lower ticket prices and market the hell out of the park. -

Sorry Miles, we didn't have you and Steve to show us the way. Some of the captions were awesome Robb. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. -
Hey, even NASA is getting into finding Duckies! They must read this thread! Ducky Science When a science probe failed to return data about melting glacial ice, a researcher from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory labeled 90 rubber ducks with an email address and the words "science experiment" and "reward" written in English, Danish and the native Inuit language, then set the toys loose in the glacier. The idea was that fisherman would find the ducks and notify him where they were found.

hahaha ---- It actually sucks. Nice report and I'm impressed with the pictures using your phone. Not bad. There are a few things at the park that I don't remember seeing when I was there. I will have to check them out next time I drop in.

Awesome pictures! It was like I was there! -
I'm leaving for china and need to pack. I don't have time to search for all the duckies so I only spent a half hour! Who needs sleep anyway! 9 Duckies! Due to the fact I will be on the TPR China trip I will be unable to participate again if 9 is the lucky number and the next round is held before 9/17.

Now that I have a DVR it will make it easier for me to watch. I lost a lot of interest when they had the family edition and the All Stars. That almost killed the series.
