  1. As of right now, I'd say it's between Millennium Force, Magnum, and Ravine Flyer 2. Although Kentucky Rumbler has a great view as well.
  2. Very true, and some of those scenes were fantastic. The scenic aspect of the houses continues to blow me away....Winters Night was gorgeous, I can't say it was all that scary, but it was one of my favorites to walk through. Legendary truth and Winters night were great but I think we can take a break from the ghost theme. I also agree with what was said earlier, the more original houses the better.
  3. I am not a fan of the congo style lines either, but for capacity reasons I understand. They lines already get out of control, and you will end up missing quite a few scares if you are in the wrong spot at the wrong time. I have been able to hit a few houses completely alone, as in I was the only one going through...and also doing the same with just one group of friends. I was not a fan of the The Thing house, but going through it alone changed that instantly....it's way more intense when everything is aimed just at you. I also had a more then personal scare on the last night when it seemed most scare actors had stopped caring about any rules...and I was followed till the end of the house all the way outside. I personally loved it because it did get to me!
  4. I would love to see Rocky Horror Tribute come back, but I'm probably one of the few. I think it would be pretty weird to have 6 houses....but that is not really fair because I've only gone the last 3 years. It is kind of crazy how much they lost this year, and jaws was awesome during the event! Perhaps we shall see an increased size of the scarezones? I mean from what I saw the last three years the amity area wasn't all that decked out. I would enjoy longer more elaborate scarezones.
  5. haha yes! I think if they made a larger version it would be awesome....but that is only because I'd love to have a house with choices/different ways. Like I said, I know the sprungs really can't be extended so I just assume it would be the main stages which totally have the ability to do so. What were the houses that utilized the Herc and Xena soundstage?
  6. Very excited to see where this year goes....but very sad to not be living in Orlando. Going to HHN every week is the main thing I'll miss from living there. I guess I'll have to plan a trip down....my ideal trip would be a wednesday-saturday...Hitting it on less busier nights. Although the last few years I've only really enjoyed because going multiple times allows you to pick up details and scares you might have never seen. I love the parade building houses, I'm not sure why...but they tend to be my favorite, or top 3. I was really hoping they were just holding out, because we lost the Jaws house. Well what I did not think about is the fact that they are probably storing two parades in their now, as opposed to one...(the new parade) I could be wrong for I have no idea, but if thats the case....then I guess no parade building this year. I have never been to an event where they had 7 houses...I hear they are longer then when they do 8....can anybody confirm this? I assume that is meant for the sound stages which have the room to do more. Also, maybe more scare zones? Considering last year had some awesome ones....and am I the only one who thinks a Nightmaze house would be awesome? Can't wait to hear more!
  7. Just got back from DC and NY. Went up to see Sleep No More again. Such an incredible show, not sure I'll ever experience anything like it again! Incredible.
  8. Good to know! I thought I always see one, but never knew if it was the same thread just updated or a brand new one. It will be sad to see the Jaws house go...especially after Saws and Steams. I thought it was a very strong house, especially for that location. Perhaps it's best it went out on that note. I honestly am going to miss the parade building this year, for those have been some of my favorite houses. Not sure why I like that location so much. I do not watch the Walking Dead...it seems serious, and I feel like disaster (recently) tends to hold the Horror Comedy houses. Can't wait to see and hear more!
  9. I did a search and couldn't locate the Orlando HHN topic and I'm guessing it's still to early for a topic....but I noticed the HHN22 teaser site is up. There is a video of people raving about the event, the calendar, and the phrase it's never to soon to start panicking. I also noticed the houses have begun visible construction, and with the RV by the disaster line most are saying it could be the rumored Walking Dead house. Sorry if this is not an appropriate place, I could only find the Hollywood Horror Nights topic.
  10. Awesome Report! I really want to see Newsies so bad, it's one of my favorite musicals for sure! I was so excited to hear it was going to Broadway and I can't wait until it tours (if it does). I am heading up to NY in a few weeks but we are choosing to see Sleep No More again, because I am obsessed with that show right now and you can't beat the price of the ticket for the experience. Those characters out in time square are always so sketch!
  11. Good luck! Can't wait to hear a review from the enthusiasts. I've heard some positive reviews from gp already, I wish I could get out there and ride it right now!
  12. So not sure if this has been mentioned for I've only skimmed the last few pages...but a roll back on coasters such as TTD, Stealth and Xcelerator would absolutely be a new credit correct?
  13. Cedar Point-2008 Disney's Hollywood Studios-2009 Maverick-Cedar Point. I had an amazing time with one of the best crews I could ask for. I also loved picking up positions at Gemini, another hilarious crew. ODF-Hollywood Studios, I worked here on my College Program doing the out door food carts. Again...the job had it's hardships but the people were amazing. I loved the guest interaction at this position, a lot of very interesting and awesome people! I'd like to work in the parks again at some point in my life. Not sure when that will be...perhaps I'll do like the people I met at disney...who are retired and working there.
  14. I guess this is the only appropriate place I found to post this....... I had the incredible opportunity to see a show I've been wanting to see since last year. Sleep No More, New York. I saw it last night...and it made my life. Greatest theater experience I've ever had...and probably ever will. Incredible and mind blowing.
  15. Very happy to see the Giant Wheel getting new lights, that's going to look awesome.
  16. Finally got to see Cabin in the Woods. What a fantastic film. Try to know as little as possible when going to view it...and if you are a horror fan...be prepared to see a tribute to the genre as a whole...and some of the initial pioneers to the industry. With the tributing shots, and the very unique ride it takes....I was pleasantly surprised. A great story with an even better metaphor. Done raving about it now haha. Now I'm pumped for Looper and Prometheus!
  17. The wine bar sounds awesome. I am also excited to see what happens with Test track, the whole design floor concept sounds awesome. It is unfortunate when the rides go down for Summer, but like stated above....not really any down time aside from a few random weeks out of the year. It's like when Space Mountain went down through the majority of the spring and summer, and my CP.
  18. That makes sense, especially with that time change I guess getting from Orlando to Lax isn't to bad. I was able to do 2 rides in all Orlando parks one day, wasn't as impressive feeling as I had hoped. I do agree that this event was one that I enjoyed more then most other Disney Events. Robb-Those cell phone charging breaks were a great idea, we did not think to bring ours which resulted in a cell phonless last few hours
  19. Although I did not get to see the TPR Madness, I did enjoy the one more Disney Day. I was sad to not be one of the 3,000 to get the hats...but fortunately they were handing all the extras out at The Town Square Theater at the end of the night. The park did seem to get a little busy in the evening and I even found my self surprised at how many people stuck it out until 6. Some cast members did the whole Fly to Lax and hit the other park which seems fun. A very succesful event and I really hope they do another one....maybe all 4 parks
  20. I was fortunate enough to check out the updated BMG show (thanks to the awesome Student Discount, $35 tickets) and it was fantastic. I had seen the old show several times...and I loved all the updates. I was just not as overwhelmed with the show in its entirety. I feel they pushed the inside jokes and didn't really explain...although I could be a little biased for the fully covered TP ending and the original animation section were super impressive and way deeper. I was fortunate to see the original show around 5 or 6 times, and I have seen a few of the touring shows. The updates were absolutely necessary and the ending was very impressive...I just am partial to the original...but again it's because of first time experiences. I still love the show...I just wish they had kept more of the old aspects in more then just a reference. Just one mans opinion Don't worry, I don't think I'm right and I know everybody enjoys different. things.
  21. I was fortunate to visit this park my last week living in FL (January 2nd) and what an awesome time we had! My girlfriend bought tickets for us as a christmas present. I love all the Orlando parks, and I was afraid I wouldn't make it to this one. I'm so glad we did, and I hope to return at some point. My Granddad has lived in Winter Haven for the last 30 years, so I had visited Cypress several times growing up. I think it is excellent what they have done with the place! It was great seeing the Gardens and Mini Land was impressive as well. The atmosphere was fun, the park was beautiful and I personally enjoyed boating school. (Mainly due to the hilarity that ensued watching the adults trying to figure out how to drive a boat) I think it is for the best and I really hope it continues to draw the crowds and expand.
  22. I live in Nashville, but I used to go to school at WKU and loved having this park a few minutes away from campus. A lot of my friends were in the shows so I always used that as an excuse to go visit. I would love to go back up to get on such an awesome drop tower...and of course rumbler! Meet up?! haha
  23. Can't wait to see what's announced tonight on the NYE show! That teaser was pretty awesome (even in it's simplicity) although I only assume it's park deals with an overall general theme...just wondering what the theme is!
  24. Sounds interesting, wonder when the completion date is. Sounds like just as big of an undertaking as wwohp part 1. I hope we get to see some detailed concepts over the next year or so of the Girngotts ride...it sounds fun. EDIT----------- Any chance this article is fake?
