TPR's EPIC Oktoberfest Trip Report!
Skycoastin Steve replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Remember, Robb takes creative license with his writing. He knows a liter is only about 32 oz and that 4 liters equals close to gallon. Also, do we really expect people to be able to keep track of exactly how many liters they drank? Thank you Larry. I originally ignored this but since you brought it up again with the correct answer I just wanted to add that the captions being questions were in no way meant to be translated into actual mathematical formulas but more to translate into "Joey drank a f**k load of beer". I figured as such, I just take things a bit too literally at times. Either that or I just used my ethnocentric American thinking and assumed that everything was back asswards in Europe. -
^I never miss an opportunity to make a that's what she said joke. But given the company, I have to take into consideration both sides of the gender coin when making the joke. Therefore, it's still funny and relatable no matter who reads it! I'm an equal opportunity jokester.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that was scratching their head at this one. A liter of beer is just about the same as a 32 oz. tall beer you can get at any Mexican restaurant over here. They were saying that those liters had something like 67 oz., which is more like 2 liters of beer in a one liter glass. Something doesn't add up. -
That's what (s)he said. (depending on which answer you selected in the poll!)

Down Draft at Knoebel's almost made me puke, and that NEVER happens. It spins a lot faster than you expect from watching it. Of course, the milkshake I drank prior to riding might have had something to do with almost puking...... -
^He's talking about the track that goes over the track shown in the 2nd video, not the track behind the tree. Unless I'm mistaken, that track is part of the 1st video clip, immediately after that launch. EDIT! Two more MS Painted screen shots for your viewing pleasure. This is the section of track in question from the 2nd video. As you can see in this shot from the 1st video, the section of track in question is the climb after the launch in the first video. I've also pointed out the track from the 2nd video for reference. Hope that helps!

^It was still Duke. If you had put up 62 on Penn State, then I would have been impressed. Come back and brag after you guys beat Arkansas this week, at least it's a worthy opponent.

^Um, Duke.

Yes, without any question. Is Tom Sawyer the greatest rock song of all time?

^^When it comes to counting a transplanted coaster, I regret to say that I count it as a new credit. Is it cheap? Yeah, for sure. But I definitely think there's something to be said for riding a coaster in two different locations. If it's a traveling coaster, then no, because it's supposed to move locations. But if it's a permanent fixture in a park and then gets moved, I count it again. Sure, it's not technically riding a "new" coaster, but I still think it's an accomplishment worth noting. Basically, if it's able to be counted twice on Coaster Counter, I count it twice. So sue me.

^Disney World of Ohio? Seriously? I think hyperbole has been taken to a new all-time high on that one. -
Geauga Lake Discussion Thread

But Geauga Lake is still open, at least partially. Kentucky Kingdom is not operating at all right now. Do they have plans to get it up and running again? Yes. Have those happened yet? No. The fair might be there, but that's not Kentucky Kingdom.
