  1. ^^^It hasn't dawned on them yet that they are being mocked.
  2. In the last week, this has gone from who cares, to sad, to pathetic, to funny, to hilarious, and now to completely and utterly f***ing hysterical!
  3. We aren't ungrateful, we just had expectations for a different kind of ride. Sounds like a "you" problem to me.
  4. ^Most mechanically unstable ride in history?
  5. ^^The section immediately after the barrel roll is a block brake, you just don't see it on the animation.
  6. It seems as if they are trying to make the ride experience much like a cheetah stalking its prey. There are a lot of quick bursts mixed in with slower sections that hover low to the ground. I'm anxious to see the whole thing stitched together and to see some more off-ride renderings of it when it's announced next week.
  7. It's no secret that I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for this coaster. Spent many summer nights riding it while visiting my dad in PCB and always had fun on it, even if it wasn't the greatest coaster in the world. As Robb said, these people seem to have their act together and have a solid plan of attack. Hopefully it works!
  8. Another picture was posted today with the accompanying caption "The first big climb back up the hillside at Knight Valley in China. The train will be speeding at 55 mph both entering and exiting this element."
  9. They better be rich, with all the money they're going to lose by doing this.
  10. Blue section of track is the 4th video. As a reminder, orange was #1, yellow was #2, lime green was #3.
  11. So one inversion it is! Such an odd layout.....
  12. ^I take back my offer to bring a hammer and help them pull it apart.
  13. ^DT can (and will) shut down in rain because parts of the trough leak and water gets in the track.
  14. ^Rides like MF and TTD already shut down in rain automatically because it was unsafe to put people on 93 and 120 mph rides with rain hitting them in the face. I've ridden MF in a light drizzle and got off with welts on my arms. Doesn't feel good.
  15. Oops! Looks like their IT person made a mistake trying to update the site for tomorrow.
  16. ^Hell, can these people buy and move Mega Zeph? At least that's a modern coaster with a more exciting layout.
  17. It has an engine on it that slowly creeps its way along the track. I'm pretty sure on the TV show that featured it they went into details, but I'm sure it has some kind of safety mechanism to keep it from becoming the world's smallest roller coaster train.
  18. Dominator originally had it because a lot of the track was over water. I think only the B&Ms that have a lot of track that's inaccessible by land have the maintenance ball.
  19. ^The prevailing rumor I've been told is CF wants to see how the Texas Giant renovation goes, and then they could be strongly considering it for SOB. Take it for what it's worth.
  20. Very impressive! I have my own modest goal of riding every operating wooden coaster just in the United States, and any international woodie credits will just be a bonus. As of right now I'm just about halfway there, and this just proves that it's possible!
  21. This pretty much sums up my thoughts.
  22. If they want to pay me to show up with a hammer and help pull nails out, I'll gladly sign up!
  23. It's still like that. And when you go to Kennywood alone like I did this year, and you're 220 pounds like I am, you have to sit on the outside and get squished by a complete stranger the whole ride. Awkward!
