  1. ^I think it's just a coincidence that it looks like the high five element. This ride isn't going to have a midcourse brake run, so there's no way they could have two trains on the course at the same time to pull it off. And I think the ride is taking forever because it's a MASSIVE project. The thing is on the side of a mountain, it's not like it's a concrete pad a la Terminator or Evel Knievel.
  2. ^not.every.coaster.is.created.equally.
  3. Weren't the Twisted Twins trains sent elsewhere (my memory is telling me SFStL)?
  4. ^Good question, but I'm sure it's Intamin's fault.
  5. Apparently a heat line roll. www.gordonrides.com/concepts.html I can never figure out if this entire company is real or not, but OUCH... that thing would need to be butter smooth for it to be descent. That'll never get past concept phase. If it does, I'll cut my foot off and feet it to Clint Novak.
  6. So in the last few days, we've had users on here ask if a heartline roll was possible on a wooden coaster, ask if it was possible to build an inverted wooden coaster, and had someone seriously inquire whether or not a roller coaster could successfully complete a jump in the track. This following the week that people said they thought Cheetah Hunt was about hunting cheetahs and actually justifying that rationale. This is the internet generation.
  7. ^^You definitely haven't hit the best that GCI and GG have to offer, don't judge them on those coasters alone.
  8. I don't know which idea is more ludicrous, a heartline roll or an inverted woodie.
  9. ^That's because Wildcat opened with PTC trains and only recently was given Millennium Flyers. PTC trains are notoriously bad on wooden coaster track and make it very difficult to maintain a track's smoothness over time. Just look at Voyage and Hades for prime examples.
  10. ^Thunderhead was getting kinda rough last year when I rode it. El Toro was actually not as glass smooth as it used to be when I rode it this year. Definitely felt a lot of bumps sitting on the wheel seats. No wooden coaster stays perfectly smooth forever (unless they are at Kennywood, whose coasters seem to defy the laws of aging).
  11. ^^Don't forget the gardens that are still going to be there. I think that pretty much sets it apart from every other Legoland.
  12. Just call Gravity Group and they'll build you a nice coaster with some 90 degree turns. The world needs more Gravity Group.
  13. No love for Mujabubukins? Prince Desmond should have taken my more cowbell shirt instead. I demand a recount!
  14. I would say that if one were to buy the lifetime pass, they would first add up how often they go to the park, average expense of every visit to the park, and also how long they would be planning to stay within the area of the park. If someone was a frequent visitor, I could see them easily making their money back within a couple years. At $75 a pop for single day admission, it would take about 35 visits to make up the $2500 plus tax.
  15. ^It's possible they don't have all the ride names finalized yet, so maybe they're waiting till they do?
  16. ^^Not every roller coaster is created equally. I think we covered that in length when we were discussing I305.
  17. He's going to come twice when he sees the velociraptor I snuck in on the front of the shirt.
  18. ^Agreed. A lot of stuff on the show is extremely contrived and it's pretty "GP friendly," which is probably why it's so annoying. Then again, most Travel Channel shows are like that.......
  19. ^Well yeah, I never said the show was any good. But he's making ridiculous attacks on a TV personality based on what the producers do. That's like saying Bob Saget is a clean cut, neat freak dorky dad because he portrays one on Full House.
  20. ^Or make you want to donate to him so he can buy a Bro.
  21. Invented, you got a thing for Clint Novak apparently. And it's disgusting.
  22. ^He can't help what the producers want to do with the show. If you'd met him, you'd know that he's actually a really nice guy in person, very approachable and friendly.
