You got a problem? It's better to be more prepared this go around if anything happens. We all saw what happened last time, and don't want to make that mistake again should the same situation happen. As of now, it's tracking to the western part of the state, and hopefully that doesn't change. As crazy as that sounds, LSU is still scheduled to play in Baton Rouge Saturday night. -
As of now, it looks like it will hit far west of N.O., and hopefully that doesn't change. If that's the case, I won't be going anywhere. I also don't think it's a sure thing the saints are going to Indy. That is their option if the storm hits close to the city. The western part of the state won't flood, but there will be wind damage and power outages. Good luck Astro

TPR Versus the King Cake!
stingrock23 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If it's a USC-LSU matchup, I will be there. Hopefully the cards fall the right way and it finally happens. The main reason i want a playoff is so that this matchup has a much better chance of happening. glad you guys enjoyed the cake, now you can come down here and be king of the jews of bourbon street -
Eric and Candace's East Coast Trip PTR

Rye was definitely an interesting place. The place was packed, the flyer hurt a lot, and we got denied on the mouse for being too tall. On the bright side, the dragon coaster was fun, the whip was crazy, the old mill was interesting, and we got to ride the derby. -

That's sad to hear. That's like going to Orlando and not going to any parks. Hope you get another chance to come down here. -

Boulder Dash was a huge surprise for me. It moved past Voyage on my woodie list, not to mention the ride op working on his birthday to make our night even better. -

Glad you guys enjoyed it, and that everyone could get a piece, even Dan. They really are addicting. And as far as I can tell, LSU is still the defending national champions. BCS trophies : LSU - 2, USC - 1. Looking forward to a Trojans-Tigers BCS title game this year. One more thing, technically, whoever gets the baby has to buy the next king cake, so it looks like Joey owes you guys a cake. -

It was great meeting you guys, I'm glad we got to hang for the entire trip. Can't wait to see the rest. It felt weird to wake up this morning and not get on a bus. -

It was good seeing you again Erik, it's too bad you couldn't stay for the entire trip. We had a good day with that Q-Bert; Superman was a lot of fun. Hope to see you again on another trip. -

Phoenix at Knoebels for our final ERT and rides on the East Coast Trip. That ride is just insane. -

It's crazy, I'm planning on going this Sunday for the first time. Considering I live an hour away, I can't believe I haven't been there yet. -
Favorite orlando park and why

It used to be IOA, but as I've gotten older, I've appreciated Epcot much more than when I was a kid. Besides, where else can you drink around the world in a day? -

^^ Water from the sky didn't flood it the first time, the rush of water from the broken levee did. Until I see any official statement or news release, I really don't even care about all this. -

I could see a combination of theme park/water park actually working much more than just the theme park on its own. I hope this all works out -
Ballparks! Your favorite/least favorite?
stingrock23 replied to CoasterEricHP's topic in Random, Random, Random
Wrigley Field is by far and away the best baseball park. Fenway is #2, but the distance between those 2 is more than I thought it would be. But after going to Fenway this year, it is clearly #2 behind Wrigley. -
Glad you had a good time, and got to eat some good food. The only thing I stay away from downtown is any jambalaya/pastalaya. I've found that restaurants down here don't do a good job; people usually do a better job making it on their own. If you come back, make sure to try some charbroiled oysters.

^^ having gone to Fenway for the first time 2 weeks ago, I definitely feel Wrigley is a notch above. Fenway was great, and is #2 in my book, but Wrigley just had a livelier vibe and more excitement to it. -
Wow, what a game. To come from behind like that at home is one thing, but on the road, it's just absurd. It just illustrated why Kobe is no Jordan. The Kobe-MJ thing ... done. Over. Jordan never would have let that happen in the Finals. Ever. Under any circumstances. Nobody is ever allowed to bring this up again.
-
I really hope the Celts win. I just can't stand the Lakers. All this Kobe praise is garbage. Is he the best player in the league? Yeah, he is, I'll give him that. But these Kobe-Jordan comparisons need to stop. This is a guy that was booed by his home crowd on opening night this year. As much as I don't want to watch this series, I know I will end up doing so. I think the Celts are the better overall team, but the coaching discrepency between Jackson and Rivers could be the most lopsided in history.
