  1. A Floorless Coaster is a roller coaster in which the seats are above the track, yet the floor retracts in the station leaving the riders feet dangling above the track. As can be seen here. http://www.rcdb.com/ig502.htm?picture=3
  2. I personally think it's done for the season, we don't know exactly what and how bad the ride was damaged and if it's engine is being pulled out, I seriously doubt this ride will be open anytime during this season.
  3. Ok i'll be the 15 year old that asks we get back to the topic at hand? I think they would definately landscape the area to an extent. As far as the coaster it is most likely a B&M Hyper, but I could be wrong. You never know.
  4. Didn't they say to stop with the substance splash down jokes? I'm still waiting for a large coaster to be named insanity.
  5. Yesterday at SFGadv while waiting for B:TR it goes down and people are asking why and some fake enthusaist is telling everyone that sometimes during the rain the breaks accidentally engage on the tops of the loops, getting the train stuck upside down, oh and it happened to him about 6 times.....
  6. It's a great addition because even though you can hear it from everywhere you think it will happen when your moving, so you hit the break run completely not expecting it, and the fact that people think the ride is over and your not moving fast and it makes you feel like you can't get out of the way. I like it.
  7. I went yesterday and love the new added effects, the truck effect really made me and my friends scream like a group of little girls, we didn't expect it to happen while sitting on the break run. The new batman symbol and rainbow strobes on the breaks are really cool too. Anyone else see these?
  8. That commercial is awesome. I'd love to see Disney take Cali adventure and do the extreme haunts like USH and keep Disneyland toned down. Same with WDW, keep the MK toned down while move the big scares to WDS.
  9. You know I had that one taped on VHS as well, but lost it and have been looking for it for ages.
  10. At BGE in line for Loch Ness Monster, "Yo you go upside down like 7 times in the tunnel but it goes so fast you don't feel it." Also at BGE in line for Big Bad Wolf, "Three weeks ago as the ride went down the drop and around the turn a car snapped off and all 4 people drowned because they were locked in." Sigh
  11. IMO B&M's take the cake. I've ridden Millie and got off disappointed and wanting more. It was a fun ride but virtually forceless. I've ridden Nitro (SFGAdv) and Apollo's Chariot (BGE) and think that these are so much better. Anyone whose ridden back row of Apollo or front row of Nitro will see where I am coming from.
  12. The only fail I see in this thread are some of the people who are posting, good lord what makes this ride an automatic failure!? Because it doesn't do what you want it to as opposed to doing what the people actually paying for the ride want it too? If they wanted a higher capacity ride they would have went with the company that would have gave them a higher capacity, or like Powder Keg, they could have went with full multi-car trains. And obviously they (meaning the RACE TRACK, NOT AMUSEMENT PARK) didn't want more track or it would have it. Unless you are paying for it, their shouldn't be the level of criticism that some of you are displaying. It's one thing to express disappointment, it's quite another to call it failure when it hasn't even been open a week! Let's see how this does on an actual race day and see if it'll hold up, and if the lines will be supremely massive and people complain and want their money back since it's so short and doesn't go 500' in the air or have 12 inversions (for reference, indeed my eyes are rolling at this point). This is S&S's fourth launch coaster correct? Aside from the problem's Hypersonic XLC had (which is the same situation as Intamin and Xcelerator with the actual prototype system that was used at the factory became a part of the ride), do the other two systems face a lot of down time? I would assume that S&S has learned quite a bit since then as has Intamin with their Hydraulic and Premier with their LIMs. Either way I'll wait a few months to see how this thing is doing to determine whether it is a failure or not. Another thing is this isn't the only coaster S&S has made this year, it also has Tranan and Mumbo Jumbo so it's not like this is the last chance for S&S and the company will go belly up if this coaster has a few issues. I'm sure they are also busy with all the support they are doing for all the Arrow rides out their already, plus any future coasters in the works. I agree, you can't critisize something being built unless two things, you know for a fact that their doing something wrong and two, your paying for it.
  13. The thought of griffon terrifies me, I'm fine with freefalls and drops but the thing is, I can't stand the anticipation and not knowing just when you'll fall.
  14. Does BGE have a locker policy or can you leave things in the station?
