  1. I'm not so sure that was the intention with MF. If you look on Intamin's website, under their listing for Giga Coasters, it reads... he layout is characterised by steep hills and drops, high speed horizontal turns at, or tremendously close to, ground level and various over banked curves. Nowhere does it mention air-time as an intended or featured element of this style of coaster. Conversely, under their description for Mega Coaster, the first thing it mentions about the layout is that it is designed for maximum air-time. That's why I'm more curious about the KD coaster, but more excited about the heavily rumored B&M hyper going in at Carowinds. Thanks for pointing that out, what baffels me is that they want to be close to the ground, yet a 300ft coaster? hrmmm?
  2. Honestly, after I rode MF myself, I realized that a hyper could easily do what MF does esaily and maybe even better, 300 ft is just a gimmick IMO. Problem with MF is that it doesn't use it's speed to it's advantage until that last bunny hop. The two big air time hills that everyone expects to be thrown out of could be just that if they were smaller allowing the speed to whip the trains over producing monsterous air. I hope this coaster actually fufills the intentions of MF.
  3. I pray they don't have room to put an MF clone, or close to an MF clone, I want a complete new layout, hopefully same drop but other wise yea new layout. That land clearing really would call for a new layout.
  4. I was hoping for the rise of the Giga Coaster, this just might do it. There was only one hyper coaster for a while ( Magnum ), now hyper coasters are the norm, maybe this giga will help it along, so giga's become the norm.
  5. LOL the bugs, when we stayed at breakers for a week we had no idea why there were screens on the balconies, boy did we find out. Those bugs swarm, you try to breathe you get swarms in your mouth. Quick fix to it though, take a jump in the pool, claurean repels them like bug spray, you don't even feel them anymore.
  6. See you could break away from the force while the wave is being pushed out, but being in a wave pool is insanely tiring, that's what kills in a wave pool. You'd have no strength to fight it.
  7. I find nothing wrong with it, send in your complaint via writing. It's just over sensitive people of America as usual.
  8. Didn't they say they were adding two new slides to the tower, there are two empty corners at the top of the slide tower that were set for slides.
  9. I want to know opinions, because this coaster has the 2 twisted spikes and I want to know if people who like the front on other 1 twisting spike impulses change their opinions here. I personally love mid-train, best of both worlds IMO.
  10. El Toro and T-Express ( both intiman pre fabs ) both utilize cable lift systems as can be seen here. http://www.rcdb.com/ig3183.htm?picture=47 http://www.rcdb.com/ig3938.htm?picture=18
  11. I could definately see an Intiman pre fab woodie themed to a cartoon character in Toon Lagoon. If you watch El Toro enough, those long cars manuvering through those tight curves it looks extremely cartoonish IMO. It could even tie in and maybe weave in and out of dudley do right's ripsaw falls. It could be called Wiplash Express, after Dudley's enemy Snidley Whiplash. As we know pre fabs don't have to be insanely tall to give an awesome ride ( aka Balder ) It could be themed will cartoonish cliffs, mining buildings, TNT Shacks and other structures to dodge, jump and crash through during the course of the ride. Just using the cable lift system gives the pre fabs awesome speed over their first drops and through the rest of the ride.
  12. No, I think it's an intiman prototype spinner? I remember hearing that somewhere. Correct me if i'm wrong.
  13. IMO B&M tends to stick to what it knows and does best and really only does something innovative when it needs too. Like the debut of the floorless coaster was to get the company more recongnition. Now they stick to it for a while and only change when absolutely nessecary. So them going above 300 ft isn't impossible but just not likely IMO.
  14. Hey guys, I'm new to posting but have been reading this site for a while and I know that here I can find people who really know alot about parks. So my friends family invited me and a few friends out to visit them in Japan for a few weeks over the summer. Sometime during that time we are going to Fuji-Q, even though I know the operations suck, I want to go mainly because of the Haunted Hospital. So is it really what everyone says, that's it absolutely terrifying. I can't find reviews anywhere and was hoping I could find some here. Thanks.
