TR: I'll try to be as brief as I can. My high school was doing a trip to Fright Fest only open to a handful of kids, so I signed up. I was placed in a group with people I only sort of knew before this: Mia, Claire, Justin, and Dillon. We arrived around 9:00 so I had to pass the time by reading and sleeping. When the park opened, I was surprised that so few people were behind the ribbon to the west side of the park, during Fright Fest no less! It turns out that the weather scared A LOT of people away, and every single ride we got on was either a walk on or had a wait of at most 15 minutes. Fortunately, it didn't rain a lot during the day and I brought an umbrella anyways. A lot of the rides we went on were actually firsts for some members of the group. We also got to snag a lot of re-rides, including Batman 4 times in a row! Unfortunately, because of the weather, some coasters like El Toro and Bizarro were only running with one train, and some flats like Fling and Buccaneer weren't running at all for no good reason. Also, all of the night activities including Dead Man's Party were cancelled and the park closed early at 7:00 PM. :grrr: Other than that, it was an awesome day. Ridelist: Batman: The Ride 4x El Toro 3x Bizarro 3x Kingda Ka 2x Nitro 2x GASM 2x Superman 1x Dark Knight 1x Rolling Thunder (both sides) 1x Skull Mountain 1x Blackbeard 1x Jolly Roger 2x Twister 2x Teacups 2x Houdini 1x Elvira 1x Overall: 9.5/10 The rain, cancelled events and early closing were a letdown, but the major re-rides and abundance of other rides was very much redeeming. I'll post my pictures a little later.

No, I'm sticking with the original. Do you like Superman more than Batman?

Best And Worst Things Ever

Best: Being able to ride Bizarro at SFGAdv a total of 8 times in on media day plus ride El Toro and Nitro at least twice each. Worst: Standing on line for The Dark Knight Coaster (a year before the Bizarro thing) for at least 75 minutes next to a couple of guys who keep grabbing each other's butts. -

No, he just has cancer, so he has stick legs anyway. Why are there so many live-action shows for kids rather than cartoons? -

It's been confirmed by Park President Mark Kane that Chang is NOT going to Great Adventure next year. Just wanted to set that straight. -
SNL was awesome last night, especially the skit when Lady GaGa and Madonna were in a catfight.

Hell yes, every time I try to add music to something, it always malfunctions. Why do so many parents these days take their 6-year-olds to PG-13 films?

New Amusement Park Movie: "Adventureland"
Zack44 replied to Not For Sale's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Despite the decieving ad campaign, I actually thought that the film was pretty good. It felt a little slow and unfunny at times, but over time I grew to like the characters. It wasn't Superbad, but it didn't have to be. Overall: 9.5/10 -
Is anyone else planning to see the Toy Story double feature? Just out of curiosity...
