That quote on Screamscape is from Jarvis on Carowinds Connection who asked at Coaster Stock about paint and was told that it would receive paint. They did not specify when, how much or even if it was just touchup work.

If you walk down to the south gate, the footers have already been poured all the way down with some only 25 feet from the entrance gates. This ride will definitely go all the way to the south gate.

Very nice trip reports so far. I have definitely enjoyed reading it. On a note about thunder road. A comment had been made on Carowindsconnection.com that Dani (CP PR @ CW) said that it is actually only 2 years through a 5 year rebuild. It will be done in 2012. I always have an enjoyable ride as long as it is in the center of the car closer to the front. The rest of the ride it just a major headache. Keep the trip reports coming though. Thanks

Same for me but I looked at that bellringer for 20 mins. I guess I just overcomplicated it.

I didn't have any plans on going to FMP but for only $16, I may have to make the 4 hour trip on Friday to check it out. I don't know if I am willing to spend the $30 to see it later in the year.

I live about 10 minutes from Carowinds. It is actually on my way home from work which makes it really convenient to stop by on my way home. I also grew up going to Disney World on an every other year basis, so I consider that my home away from home park.

I need to quote this because that was an almost identical experience to my first time on Screamin', except I knew the loop was there My first coaster inversion was Space Mountain at Euro Disney. I was excited to ride it but had no idea that it had an inversion until I also saw the warning sign. I have been hooked ever since though.

Very interesting little park. I may be right but I think I am going to have to have my eyes checked because I only saw that little duck 4 times.

Hi there. My name is Derek and I live about 10 minutes from Carowinds. I actually grew up going to Disney World every other year. As such, I am a huge fan of the disney parks. I have been to all the parks in Florida as well as Disneyland and Disneyland Paris. I have a two year old son so I bought a season pass to Carowinds this year for the first time. I just took him on his first roller coaster (Taxi Jam). He was a little scared but still enjoyed it.
