  1. Impossible. The best thing to happen to the ride would be a wrecking ball.
  2. Normally when you buy a season pass that late in the season, the rest of the current year is included.
  3. You would probably upload directly via an FTP client.
  4. Actually Knotts probably has the least amount of nearby parks out of all the CF parks. Great America is quite a ways away. Even if you consider non-CF parks there's only a handful close by. Where as the east coast parks are for the most part located in park dense areas.
  5. ^ Did it scan at the gate though? ie Six Flags passes I've always walked right up to the gate and in. Cedar Fair/Paramount I've always had to go to guest relations to get a voucher, etc. Just curious if this is something that CF has corrected or not.
  6. Did you actually buy something using advice from a Target emplyee? Big box employees for the most part know nothing about cameras, etc. All they know is how to sell them. Gotta do your own research, and then go into the store and tell them exactly what you need. That way you don't get home and realize you bought yourself a Suny Hundycam.
  7. I realize you were joking. At least I hope you were joking. But the train wouldn't make it past the tunnel. Hitting the water in the tunnel would bring the train to a dead stop, and cause massive damage to the trains.
  8. Sorry. We had page after page of nothing but "Is testing started??". Then pages and pages of people posting webcam pics of testing. Then to have someone come in and post testing pics like they were brand new, that were posted days ago, well I hope you can understand why it rubbed me the wrong way.
  9. The testing began a few pages ago. You must have been watching the PKI construction too much.
  10. Has anyone used a Maxx pass at another park yet? I'm curious if they are scanable at the gates. Or if you have to go to guest relations like previous CF/Paramount passes.
  11. Your English seems just fine to be honest. Probably about as good as mine. A hell of alot better than my French. I've forgotten everything they taught me in school. Not that what they taught us in the first place was really usefull.
  12. ^ Yes, typically when rides/trains,etc are moved it's between affiliated parks. However there's plenty of times where a park will sell old equipment/rides to other parks. Like Holiday World's old G-trains from Legend are being used at Geaga Lake on I believe Raging Wolf Bobs.
  13. It's just a private sale. Doesn't matter that there is no affiliation.
  14. I'd prefer you go on monday when the park isn't open. But you'll probably want to go on Sunday. It's a rule of thumb at any park that Sunday is better then Saturday. I'd imagine that weekend would probably have pretty light crowds. As it's just a normal early season weekend. Though La Ronde's operations tend to be reported to be the worst around. So it's probably hard to predict.
  15. Great America or Great Adventure? Neither Six Flags park would be all that interesting for someone who doesn't enjoy rides. You can pretty much exclude any Six Flags or Cedar Fair/Paramount park for someone too old for kiddy rides, and who doesn't like rides at all.
  16. He's said a few times that he's in Michigain, and can't travel cross country. Eric how far is your family willing to drive? The parks that you're somewhat close to just don't have that much to do for someone who doesn't go on rides. Parks like CP and KI have plenty for thrill seekers, and plenty for really young kids, but nearly as much for kids too old for the kiddy stuff, and not brave enough for the thrill rides. Parks like Disney,Busch,Silver Dollar City, Dollywood, etc would probably suit you, but are they too far away?
  17. The pass has to be processed before using it at another park. So unforunatly you would have to go to Carowinds before going to CP and KI.
  18. Umm ... no. I'm going to have nightmares now.
  19. It's ironic that I love to use irony in wrong ways.
  20. There's nothing stopping a park from building one. None are built because the stand up is a fad that has long since past. Just like no one is going to build another old school arrow corkscrew.
  21. Some of us have jobs and normal lives to keep us busy during the day.
  22. ^ Actually Shockwave didn't hurt me too bad. My problem was more that the ride was boring, and plain out sucked.
  23. The first movie wasn't unknown actors. Just not "a" list actors. Did you watch the trailer? Because it pretty much shows you how stars in the movie. And it seems like the same case, just non "a" list actors. The one guy was in The Full Monty.
  24. Maybe that's just my perception. But it sure seems like people in the major US markets start to complain if parks go untouched for a year or two.
  25. ^ It's a very small minority that complains about Wonderland. It's a much different market up here. It's not like the Ohio market where people get really pissy if a new ride isn't put in every other year.
