Marineland Canada Expansion
Carnage replied to philipdimartino's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There was supposed to be a scale replica of Niagara Falls which the train coasts behind. It just ended up as a giant ugly mess of steel beams. -
Photo TR: Canada's Wonderland season pass preview!
Carnage replied to shesaidboom's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Nice TR. Was Minebuster running any smoother? I thought I saw some fresh wood on it when I was there to process my pass. But couldn't see for sure. I don't put much faith in Cedar Fair fixing that jackhammering on the third hill. -
Canada's Wonderland Preview Night

That sucks. I've seen 10 minute dispatches on Skyrider during season pass preview. Wait, I've seen 10 minute dispaches on normal days as well. -

Operations are always bad on season pass preview day. The ops are still pretty green at that point. They'll get better. -

I would have gone, but I'm in the US this weekend. -

I've seen Gemini's queue filled to over flowing. That's when you know it's bad. -

I'd guess that's only a portion of the queue. -
Houdini's Great Escape

I respectuflly disagree. I find the Vekoma mad houses very trippy, and alot of fun. They might not be thrilling, but they are alot of fun. -
Can you change my title to "Elissa's kind of busy raising KidTums, so don't be surprised if she doesn't have time to change hundreds of titles"?

I don't know about everyone else, but a "terrain coaster" to me is a coaster which hugs hills, valleys, rivers, etc. Not a coaster built on flat ground which happens to spend alot of time right on the ground. -
Should have had something better for us to revive it. I didn't think a single one of those uniforms you posted were ugly. At least no where near some of the other uniforms that have been posted.

There was one at South Pier down the street from Blackpool. -

That article was really written poorly. Sounds almost like something a high school student would write. That sentence doesn't make any sense. I read it like 10 times trying to understand. I guess they were going for "Bryan Edwards, of Cedar Point, said one of the common questions is "why does the park keep building rides?". -
Death at Legoland Billund
Carnage replied to mightypotato's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's not even training, it's basic common sense. From a early age we have to learn not to run out into traffic. If we do we'll get hit by a car. Same idea with being around a roller coaster. You just don't jump a fence and run in front of it's path. -

Death at Legoland Billund
Carnage replied to mightypotato's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Unforunatly this is pretty common. Just about every year at least one or two workers will be killed in this way. Some people just don't have the common sense required to operate a roller coaster without harm. -

GCI's "airtime" tends to be more of a whiplash type. Kind of like you're getting pulled backwards. Instead of ejector type air you get on some other rides. Renegade kind of reminds me of a bit of Thunderhead, and a bit of Ozark Wildcat. -

It would go from the worst to average and boring. Even if it was smooth it wouldn't be a good ride. -
Human blood is not a drug to animals. Sharks, crocodiles, lions, tigers, etc all have killer instincts. Doesn't matter if you're a human, or a wild animal. Get near them and they're going to attack. A shark bitting a human doesn't all of a sudden turn it into some crazed killing machine like in the movies.

Talk about stereotyping an entire industry. Six Flags has had complaints about poor staff, but that doesn't mean all of SF and CF employees are drugged up coke fiends. -

Doubtful. SoB is supposed to be getting used G-trains from Myrtl Beach Pavilion.
