  1. ^That's what I'm thinking as well. Oh well, I still need to go get the Superman credit anyway.
  2. ^I think the Jet Star was finally scrapped, sadly. There were rumors about it before it was removed from Thrillville in 2010, I believe about it going to a carnival, but I haven't heard of it since. Also I may be confused with the Fun Forest Windstorm since I remember something about Texas being involved, and that's where that ride seems to show up. Here's the RCDB page for Ripper at Thrillville, where it's considered defunct.
  3. So I was texting...and right between one text and another...my phone physically BROKE. I have absolutely no explanation as to how this could even happen. It is, however, still usable...at least as of right now.
  4. ^Interesting. I'll definitely be checking up on the offers come August 30. It would be nice if I could plan out which SF park I'll be visiting next so I can take advantage of the best deal while it lasts.
  5. ^Yeah, I don't know how many or which ones, but I know some (most?) Starflyer restraints do lock. Exactly. I did used to wonder about chairswing restraints as it seems it wouldn't take much effort to escape from them. But it's obvious that, for whatever reasons, they're considered perfectly safe.
  6. ^I've actually mini-marathoned Hurricane before...don't worry, I marathoned Giant Dipper harder though. Sadly, the Jet Star used to be at one of my home parks, and yet I've only seen it, not ridden it.
  7. ^First off: DISCO TUNNEL! Yes please! Now you're making me miss NTAg even more. But yes, I really hope they do something creative with it. I lucked out with a front seat ride on Rattler, but that still didn't make the ride good enough for me to actually appreciate the tunnel. Second. Thanks a LOT for posting "it's a small world after all."
  8. Same. Both in terms of counting it and in terms of hopefully riding it next year (I'm such a rebel). Wait a minute...did I just type that I'm hopefully getting to ride a Boomerang?
  9. I remember when I was actually surprised that California Screamin' had absolutely nothing (beyond the name) to do with the song California Dreamin'. As a major fan of Premier, I'm glad they're still strongly rumored to be involved in this project, or at the very least are doing something in California.
  10. ^It's still popular though, right? Sad to think it was only two years ago that I liked it a good amount, though I know it had already developed its fearsome reputation at that point, and I know it's deteriorated since then.
  11. ^I forgot Hurricane had such a cute little sign. I wonder if the new park will keep it or update to a new one.
  12. Topper Track Topper Track Topper Track. With a side of Timberliners...? I had been starting to feel a bit apprehensive about Ghostrider...but now, now I just plain feel sorry for it.
  13. Weird about Roller Soaker. But I agree, I think they really are selling it and just weren't ready to share yet.
  14. Ba-bawk bawk bawk, ba-bawk bawk bawk, ba-bawk bawk bawka bawka bawk bawk bawk. Ba-bawk bawk bawk, ba-bawk bawk bawk, ba-bawk bawk bawka bawka bawk bawk bawk. Ba-bawk bawk bawk, ba-bawk bawk bawk, bawk bawk bawk bawka bawka bawk bawk bawk. BAWK-AWK!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I understand. Again, my comments were really not much more than an extrapolation upon the sarcastic grumblings of Cal1br3tto and Mrlittle. I think I was just misunderstood (or perhaps a victim of "selective reading" on your part? ) Sorry about that, guys. I just have to give him a hard time about being Texan. Not saying I looked over everything and deemed Portland was a better location than Tracy. I asked my mom about Tracy and she told me what I was expecting after reading this thread. Not a desirable place, but just kind of there. She did say I probably went through there on the way to WCB, though I don't recall this.
  16. ^Wild Waves just re-started a December Holiday with Lights program, which had been on hiatus since 2004. I wonder if this kind of thing is something that's spreading among the parks. Seems like a nice idea.
  17. Hmm. Fighting Falcons sounds like a high school sports team. And Red Barons ONLY makes me think of that kiddie plane ride that all parks have. So please, neither of those. For anything. And I only want flyers if you can snap.
  18. ^Well FWIW, California is like a second home to me (especially NorCal) and I'm not positive I even knew about Tracy before this.
  19. ...Yeah, this will definitely be a raging success. Well of course you think that. Me, though, I vote for Portland!
  20. Capacity issues aside, I'm in full support of an El Loco. I still have Steel Hawg ranked embarrassingly high.
  21. Hmm, very interesting guess! I can confirm that the museum is not in its final, completed state. They hope to one day place (of all things) a carousel in (of all places) the carousel-shaped part of the building, and add on space for other exhibits, presumably including some of the ones there now. I like the way you think. But why? Well, maybe it's only because I think anyone could use a vacation to New York. Maybe. Thanks for the awesome comments and guesses, all! Keep 'em coming! Remember, I will be posting an update on this merry-go-round mystery...wouldn't you love to be the person who solved it?
  22. My goodness, Wrigley's Spearmint is terrible. The flavor is gone in mere minutes. Almost like an opposite of their Big Red, which burns your mouth. Good thing I found a few pieces of Trident Tropical Twist laying in a drawer.
  23. ^Well, I'm going to be counter-praying. I must be the only person who would rather see an I305 (no, not literally the only person, I'm sure...).
