  1. Thanks MO & Traincrossing for your kind words. I'm glad we hadn't lost you!!! Big Mike, your return was our inspiration to get back into it as well!!! Thanks!!!!!!
  2. ^^Nice Catch John!!! I was wondering if anyone would ever catch that. Yes, there are all kinds of little subtleties in or TR's. You should go back to the beginning and read them all over again!!!! ^Thx David!!!! I hope we can hang out again at this year's WCB. Although, The Bebes will likely only attend SFMM this year. -Mr Bebe
  3. ________________________________________________ SUNDAY March 21, 2010 West Coast Bash DAY 2 : Knotts Berry Farm ________________________________________________ . So after only about 3hrs of sleep, we were up and on our way to Knotts Berry Farm with JustinJJ for West Coast Bash Day 2. West Coast Bash attendees were warmly welcomed upon arrival at the park. Thanks Knotts!!! Represent! Barely able to keep our eyes open, we got our morning backstage tour pass and headed to the Calico Mine Ride. Close-up of the tour pass (duh!). We were escorted underground where Lady Bebe got up close and personal with this miner. Hmmmmm, What’s down that hole???? Coaster Nerd photo. Glory Hole or Pot Room??? How can I decide??? The Ghost Town really was at this hour. 9:30AM-ish. We headed toward our next morning backstage tour. The train shop. Waaaaayyyy over there by Supreme Scream. Hey, Dannerman!!!! Over here!!! It’s the Bebes!!!! Remember us from Dorney Park???!!!! Choo Choo!!!! Time to learn all about the trains of Knotts Berry Farm. “They go ‘Choo Choo!!!’, and if they don’t, then we fix ‘em”. Really? Tell us more. “This is where we fix ‘em. Here’s some bits n parts.” Noted Oh No!!! Lady Bebe and Justin looked at the arc & went crazy!!!! 1 ½” NIPPLES!!! That’s hot. The Bebes were soooo tired, and enjoyed the leisurely activities this morning. But now, time to embark on our first bit of ERT. A spin on Jaguar, The Big Cat of Rollercoasters (NOT!). How many hours of sleep did we get??? It was nearly time for the park to let the General Public in, so we headed toward Sierra Sidewinder. The GP were there too. Just behind the rope. Ready to charge. 10:30AM. Go!!!!!!! Of course, we beat the GP to Sierra Sidewinder. So did Austin and his special lady friend. I guess Austin won’t be stroking his cock like Mr. Bebe is. After a few rides, we headed toward lunch. We were one of the first people there. ILoveRides, Hilary Duff, and Gertrude joined us for lunch. Snoopy even came by and posed for a photo with Justin!!! And Mr. Bebe!!!! And Hilary Duff, too!!!! Lady Bebe didn’t get a photo with Snoopy, though. She was in the bathroom (like usual). After lunch, there were a bunch of games like this water balloon toss. Good luck Shawn Reece!!! Justin tried to help Hilary out with a scavenger hunt, but she didn’t seem too grateful. NOT! Still feeling the effects of WCB Day 1, the Charles Shulz Theater seemed like a great place for a nap. Take notes David, and tell us all about it when we wake up. Is that POOP up there in the fountain???? Too Soon? Justin LOVES Dippin Dots. The park was quickly approaching closing time and we had a free photo on GhostRider to redeem. Are we really gonna wait in this line with ERT coming up in just over an hour??? Nuttin’ Better to Do!!! We saw Robb in line at the last second and asked him to ride with us. And lucky enough, we had our Robb masks in our pockets. Nice free pic, Knotts!!!!! Thanks!!!!! ERT was upon us, but Hilary Duff decided to sit out because she wasn’t feeling so good. Neither was Justin. And soon, sadly, West Coast Bash 2010 was over and it was time to go home. We had a blast!!!! And thanks to Justin, David and Brittany (and Gertrude) for helping us stay awake!!!!!!!
  4. After battling a serious case of lazy Bebe syndrome, The Bebes will be posting Day 2 of WCB 2010 tonight. STAY TUNED!!!!!
  5. Wow, how entertaining is this? I want to see his photos soooo bad now!! It sounds like this guy is a serious photographer who takes his work, and himself, far too seriously. He's young and he knows everything. Eventually, he'll have to realize that other people have good advice to give. I just wish he was brave enough to leave the photos up. - Lady Bebe
  6. Big Mike, I would like to enter the contest because my favorite part of The Big Mike Road Show is Big Mike's great sense of humor. - Lady Bebe
  7. The Bebe's LOVED the Taj show at SFDK. What an awesome animal who will be missed. RIP Taj.
  8. Mr. Bebe thinks #3 AND #4 are both good, but gives the edge to #4. ------------------ #4 --------------------------- -
  9. Last Year at WCB, we went straight for X2. Our first ride was a short wait (5min or so), our next re-ride was about the same. After that, everyone had pretty much moved on and it was no-wait re-rides for the rest of ERT (13 laps all together). This was about the time the park actually opened to the public. After that, Justin secretly puked and we headed for our first backstage tour of the day, grabbing a no-wait ride on Tatsu along the way. For night ERT, we grabbed three rides on colossus (RACING!!!!!) and then 11 rides on Terminator TPR Especial with Special TPR audio. Check out our Trip Report for in-depth coverage!!! Click the link below: The Bebes' WCB 2010 REPORT PT1: SFMM Click the link above^
  10. The Bebes both missed the one in the balloon dart picture. Grrrr... Those tricky duckies!!
  11. Mr. Bebe is locked! Lady Bebe also found 7 duckies. We are so glad to have you back Big Mike!! Things just weren't the same without you!
  12. Welcome Back Big Mike!!!!!! Now, since the Bebes still owe trip reports dating back to last year's West Coast Bash, you arent that far behind!!!! Ducky guesses coming soon!!!!
  13. Of the 35 or so we've ridden, Santa Cruz BB's Giant Dipper takes it (6th overall woodie on our list), though I might argue that Phoenix is much higher on our list at 78ft TALL, with a 72ft DROP. WOODIES: 1. Voyage 2. El Toro 3. Phoenix 4. Ravine Flyer 2 5. GhostRider 6. SCBB Giant Dipper 7. Lightning Racers 8. Terminator: Salvation 9. Jackrabbit 10. Raven
  14. actually, SFMM opens daily march 29, but that is for spring break and crowds will overall be greater. If you can plan your trip for late april, crowds should be pretty thin all around and you shouldnt have any trouble getting through the parks.
  15. Ride Phoenix at Knoebels in row 3 and you'll land on the seat divider 5-6 times throughout the ride!
  16. Wow, what a hard question. The Bebes visited both parks last year and the parks are SOOOOOOOO different. Hershey has a great collection of Coasters and it's a beautiful park. W spent a whole day plus a couple hours the night before at Hershey. Fahrenheit, Stormrunner and Lightning Racers are awesome. Knoebel's is in the middle of a farm and has more flat rides (some found nowhere else) than anywhere else. There arent any walkways, just lots of dirt. Easily the most unique park I've ever been to. Phoenix in row 3 is a top 10 coaster (We rode it about 10 times in most every row...don't ride near the back). The bumper cars are INSANE! And the Flyers at Knoebels are INSANE too. We spent a whole day at Knoebel's, expecting to only spend a half day. Given the choice ourselves, we'd go to Knoebels.
  17. Seriously: FOOD: If you want a good buffet, The Carnival World Buffet at Rio and Cravings at Mirage are good. If you want a good CHEAP buffet, try Stratosphere for lunch (champaigne on Sunday). Bellagio wasnt worth the price tag (in my opinion). Paris has a good buffet if you really like seafood (such as clams and mussels) but isnt very big. Treasure Island buffet sucked. We had a nice romantic sit down at Aereole in Mandalay Bay. Also, stuffed ourselves silly with the Churascaria at Rum Jungle in Mandalay Bay. Don't bother with the Eiffel Tower restaurant at Paris. Go DOWNTOWN to the Brooklyn Bridge (what an armpit of a casino!!!) and get the best and biggest Shrimp Cocktail in Vegas (seriously). DONT get Shrimp Cocktail elsewhere. SHOWS: Cirque show of choice: Mystere (Can't beat the Original Vegas Cirque show.Incredible). Cirque show to avoid: Criss Angel Believe (I havent seen Viva Elvis yet). Ka is also pretty cool. It's technically insane, but not as well rounded of a show as Mystere. Most every topless review we've seen has been awefully cheesy and lame. I wouldnt bother. But Cirque's Zumanity is fun AND you get to see boobies!!! Amazing Johnathan is fun and Carrot Top was actually very fun too, though I wouldnt pay the full price for either of them. RIDES: The NYNY Rollercoaster sucks, but grab it if you want the credit. Speed and Canyon Blaster are alright. Desperado at Buffalo Bills (30min south of the strip) is a kidney crushing Arrow (once the tallest fastest in the world) that you should get the credit for if you're gonna be that close. I think there is a free shuttle to Primm from one of the Strip Hotels (MGM or something). I've only ridden Big Shot (and the now defunct High Roller) at Stratosphere, but I'd recommend getting all the rides if you're gonna pay to get to the top anyway. GAMING: If you're into poker, Mandalay Bay and Luxor have some cheap buy-in tournaments that I've enjoyed. SPA: For a nice massage on the cheap (for Vegas), try The Orleans. A+. FREE THINGS: Fountains at Bellagio (as seen in Oceans 11). Fountains inside the Caesar's Palace Forum Shops. The statues come to life. MGM Grand Lion Habitat. Smack dab in the middle of the casino. Stop by and look at some Lions. Mirage Volcano. Outside of the Mirage on the Strip. Erupts hourly after dark. Rio Carnival in the Sky. Cool Float Parade that plays every few hours from the ceiling of the Rio Casino, complete with people throwing beads. Aquarium at the Silverton. With a mermaid show. Sirens of TI show at Treasure Island. Outside of TI on the Strip. Sadly, I've never seen the show. It gets really busy and crowded there. Freemont Street Experience. The LED rooftop above Freemont Street Downtown comes to life with a show every hour or so after dark. If you're in the area check it out, but dont make it a destination by itself. I WOULD recommend you go downtown sometime during your week just to check out the seedier side of Vegas. OTHER ACTIVITIES: Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. Decent if you can get a discount. Dolphin Habitat at Mirage. You might spend an hour or so there. Gondola ride INSIDE the Venetian. There is an outdoor one too, but go with the inside ride. Maddam Tussaud's Wax Museum at Venetian. Had a BLAST here TWICE! The key to having fun at MT... You ARE ALLOWED to touch the wax figures, so take advantage of that and get some outrageous photos (see attached photo). HOTEL ROOMS: Cheap and Spacious and practically on the strip: Tuscany Suites ($40nt). Fabulously Luxurious but still affordable: Any standard room at Venetian (~$140nt) or THEhotel at Mandalay Bay (~$120nt). MASSIVE SUITES on the cheap: Ziggurat Suite at NYNY = 11sq ft, 2bath ($220nt on off-nights). Mirage Tower Suite 1500sq ft ($220nt on off-nights). Outdated, but still impressive. The Platinum is a Non-Gaming hotel just off the strip with a very nice 950sq ft 1 bed suite with Full Kitchen for about $120nt. One of the things that we have done in the past is to check out Expedia for the whole week and find the ONE day during the week that a room is REALLY cheap. We change rooms every day (which is tiring), but get to check out all kinds of hotels and rooms for decent prices. For instance: Harrahs: $130 on Sunday, $52 on Monday, $113 on Tuesday. We'd book a room at Harrash for Monday. Caesar's Palace: $113 on Sunday, $319 on Monday, $559 on Tuesday. We'd book Caesar's for Sunday. THEhotel: $400 on Sunday, $120 on Tuesday. We'd Book THEhotel for Tuesday. etc etc etc. Also check for 3rd night free or similar promos. Al Roker gropes Lady Bebe at Maddam Tussaud's. You should see what Dale Earnhardt did!!!!!
  18. A LIM launch isnt nearly as instantaneous as a cable launch. Not to say that a LIM system isn't a safer / more practical solution.
  19. ^^^ I agree with Chuck. Superman is a "fine" ride, but hardly worth waiting for. AND, usually, it has a 45min line when almost everything else in the park is a short wait/walk on. Hopefully they are working on a new train design that will bring S:TE back to its' 100mph potential. PS Magic Mountain - A 400ft drop ride off the backside would be a welcome addition to the park too. -Mr. Bebe
  20. I don't know why else you'd be in Wichita, but I'm gonna guess Wild West World. -Mr Bebe
  21. Welcome Back Big Mike!!!! Now, if The Bebes can get off their lazy butts and catch up with last years' TRs too......
  22. Holy Crap!!!! I've been so busy working and prepping for our New Zealand trip that I totally missed this!!!!!! I'm bummed that BAB didn't synch up with my schedule. Looks like it was a riot (especially the party bus!). Of course, I'll be gone til June 5th, and you'll probably have the whole report up by then. Looking forward to Gertrude's Bay Area Adventure!!!! -Mr. Bebe
