  1. Coaster Palooza, Of course we (The Bebes) knew you were joking about "finding" the Mikestery Cards, and our retorte was meant to be tongue-in-cheek as well. We appreciate the humor and welcome it at any opportunity!!! However, we DON'T believe that you spared the Ducky. An MRI has been set up to locate its exact whereabout within your body, and a group of detectives are searching the sewer system, just in case you passed it through already. -Mr. Bebe
  2. Oh, Big Mike, how I wish I could be one of your cheerleaders! Alas, the ring on my finger dictates that I must cheer for Mr. Bebe. But, just between you and me, I'll secretly keep my fingers crossed for you! SHHHHH!!! - Lady Bebe
  3. Coaster Palooza, 3 Mikestery cards mearly ties you with Lady Bebe. You can't get out of the ducky game that easy (even if you cheat)!!! Muah ha ha ha ha!!!!! -Mr. Bebe
  4. The Bebes have ridden both this year (belmont in March and Santa Cruz just last week). Both were pretty smooth rides. Belmont's was a nice ride on an old classic. Nothing bad about it, but easily forgettable. Santa Cruz's was surprisingly smooth, especially in the front. It had great airtime pops in the front seat and scary aggressive airtime thrusts in the back seat. The only BAD ride we had was in the middle where it shook around a bit much. It has a great tunnel, an awesome first drop, good forces (laterals and airtime), and some out of control craziness. Check out our ratings on Coasterfanatics. SCBB blows BP away! 5. LOL!!! Tyler, did you try to pay for the porn with a photocopy of the picture on your shirt???!!!! LOL!!!
  6. DAY 1: The Drive & SFDK Sunday August 16, 2009 We gathered all of our travel necessities and packed our ONE BAG on Saturday, so that we could make a quick exit Sunday morning. Our plan: Leave around 10:30am and hopefully have a couple hours at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, then head to Taylor’s Automatic Refresher in Napa, a joint we saw on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, for a seared Rare AHI burger and a bacon bleu burger. We woke up around 9:30am. Dejected and tired, we settled for Jack in the Box and went to bed. Tomorrow: A morning trip to V. Sattui winery, finish up Discovery Kingdom, and then Taylor’s Automatic Refresher. We couldn’t get the internet to work, and it turned out that the entire hotel didn’t have any internet for the night either. Eventually, we got the phone number for Taylor’s to find that they just closed at 9pm. Oh well…. Until tomorrow. Taylor’s Automatic Refresher wasn’t in our GPS and we didn’t have an address for it either, so we headed to our hotel (Fairfield Inn & Suites – Napa) to look it up on the internet. It was almost 9pm. We decided to get our souvenir shopping out of the way, and Lady Bebe posed for a silly hat photo. Time was running out and there were no more shows to be had, so we headed over toward Kong and Medusa. Kong had no line, so we headed there first. Kong was pretty speedy and forceful, and provided just what you would expect from a Vekoma Hang-n-Bang…. Hanging And Banging. Not as bad as T2 at SFKK, but still not a particularly good ride. As we pulled into the station we heard the announcement that the park was now closed. We tried to enter the Medusa line, but we were turned away. Oh well… until tomorrow. Shouka did some jumps in the air. Then swam in circles. Then jumped in the air. Then swam in circles. Then swam in more circles. Then splashed the audience. Then swam in circles. Meanwhile, Merlin the dolphin did some tricks to excite the audience since Shouka couldn’t do it on her own. LAME SHOW. Next up: Shouka the Killer Whale show. As we passed by Boomerang, we saw that there was no line. We hopped on for a quick and painful ride. Hershey’s Boomerang is still the worst, but this one was pretty bad. So would we ride it ourselves???? EFFFF NO!!! Definitely NOT an acceptable amount of wetness The rapids ride had some of THE BEST water sprayers EVAR!!! We stood here for about 15minutes watching people get pelted in the face. Hysterical!!! Lady Bebe would like to apologize to all TPR members. She tried really hard to get a photo of a Camel Toe, but failed. Here’s a Camel Butt instead. Giraffes Mr. Lion Lady Lion Next we walked around the land animals section. There was this super cute Fox. Our first bit of business: Odin’s Temple of the Tiger. The highlight of the show was the tiger swimming. I guess this is supposed to be pretty cool, because there were signs about it all over the park. It actually kinda sucked. Sorry Odin. Speedy says: Mr. Bebe is a poser. The Bebes at Six Flags Discover Kingdom with their 4th souvenir cup of the season. Can we keep it??? Or will it be trashed??? The parking lot was quite full and the park looked to be rather crowded (it was a Sunday after all). We decided our plan would be to catch as much of the animal stuff as we could today, and then get the rides in tomorrow when the crowd is lighter. We hopped into the Jungle Tram. We’ve made it to our first park of TPT:P3. Ole. Discovery Kingdom from the parking lot. Discovery Kingdom from the freeway. 5pm. We made it in great time! …And a moon pie! We had to make one stop on our way for gas & a restroom break…. After about 20 minutes, we see our destination ahead! Wait a minute…. 20 minutes??? It must be a mirage. No….. It’s X2 at SFMM that we are passing en route to the bay area. Until we meet again, SFMM…. The time: 11:12. The distance: 378 miles. Estimated time of arrival: 6:16pm. SFDK closes at 7pm. We are behind schedule (as usual). After a quick shower, we tossed our ONE BAG into Lady Bebe’s Honda Fit, nicknamed ‘The Jellybean’, and hit the road. Part TRES had begun. Ole.
  7. Here is the photo proof that The Bebes have acquired the Castles & Coasters Mikestery Card as well as the Cliffs Mikestery Card. And since Mr. Bebe went behind Lady Bebe's back and posted the Las Vegas Sign Mikestery Card all for himself, Lady Bebe has decided that these two (as well as the OG from SFMM) are all hers!! But he was no match for Lady Bebe! Mr. Bebe put up quite a fight...
  8. ^ That was US!!!! You should've said "Hi" to The Bebes!!!! We should be getting our trip reports up this week, so keep coming back to see how we liked the trip (or didn't....???). You live in Colorado??? Did you go to any other parks in the Bay Area? Also, if you missed our TERMINATION DAY report, check it out on page 26!!!
  9. On the Bebes recent Theme Park Tour, only Dominator & Berserker were open when the park opened. Congo section didn't open til 11am and Avalanche didnt open til Noon. Frusterating. Since EVERYONE that is at the park when it opens is FORCED to choose Dominator, it is crowded to start the day, then becomes a very short wait/ walk on. 1. Volcano is good / unique. Also tends to keep a line when others don't, so I'd hit this first. 1b. Intimidator will be somewhere over here in this area and should be a top priority as well. 2. Anaconda, in my opinion, is one of the lamest Arrow looper I've ridden. If it's a walk-on, grab the credit, but I wouldn't wait for it. 3. BLSC is a clone, if you've ridden the one at KI, don't bother. 4. Avalance was quite fun with two people per car, but rickety with only one. 5. Flight of Fear (also a clone) is a nice idoor LSM spaghetti bowl and better than the one at KI. It is near Anaconda and also opens late and is hard to notice. 6. Rebel Yell is OK. Historic old woodie. 7. Riccochet is a standard Wild Mouse with bad capacity. Don't bother unless you can grab a walk-on 8. Hurler was also OK. 9. Grizzly is the best of the three woodies, but nothing special. 10. Shockwave - rather fun and different than other stand-ups, but can be jolting. 11. Dominator - a very good floorless. It is right near the entrance and yo can hit it on your way out, after the crowds have left it. Don't bother with Scooby Doo and Taxi Jam unless you're whoring it up. Get your a$$ to BGE and enjoy the rest of the day. Alpengeist, Apollo, and Griffon are all great. Lock Ness is neat, but not as great a ride as the others. DO NOT skip DarKastle!!! VERY cool dark ride. Hope this helps!!!! You can learn more in our Theme Park Tours trip reports by following the link below. -The Bebes
  10. ^Bastard! Today: CGA Tonight: Henry's Hi Life BBQ Tomorrow: Fallafel Drive-n, Gilroy Gardens & Santa Cruz BB Then, a drive to Monterey for the night!
  11. Started our day with a quick trip to V. Sattui Winery, then a full day at SFDK, and dinner at Taylor's Automatic Refresher. Tomorrow: CGA
  12. We got into Vallejo around 5pm and hit SFDK for a few hours last night. Today: Finish up SFDK & Taylor's Automatic Refresher Tomorrow: California's Great America & Fallafel Drive-IN
  13. SFGAdv's hours on that first week of September has them closing at 8pm, instead of the 10pm that they close thru most of the summer. The reason for that: They don't expect to be very crowded, even for a weekday. DON'T choose a Sunday over a weekday if you have a choice! When we were there in June, most rides were walk-ons or short waits with the following exceptions: Kingda Ka: 1hr (3 trains) Bizarro: 1hr (2 trains) Superman : 25min (2 trains) El Toro: 20min (2 trains) Dark Knight: We hit it first thing (5min), but it gets a pretty good line because of slow loading / poor capacity. My suggestion: Hit Ka, El Toro, and Bizarro first; Then work your way back around the park hitting Dark Knight & Superman last Also, Kingda Ka was horribly rough in the back seat. Sit near the front. Try El Toro in different seats. Front & Back are totally different. -Mr. Bebe NOTE: Check out our Trip Report by clicking the banner below if you want some decriptions and opinions of the rides.
  14. Well, SOMEBODY was ducking behind the Drop Tower snapping photos. I assumed my fame preceeded me. P.S. - The Bebes have also acquired the Cliff's Amusement Park Mikestery Card. Photo proof will be posted after we return from The Bebe's Theme Park Tour: Part TRES! OLE!
  15. LOL!!!!! David, Glad to see you've finally embraced the "Hillary". Does Brittany know she's being referred to as Hillary Duff? What does she think of that? Yeah, we had planned our trip around our work schedule & wish it worked out that we could have went to Bay Area Bash with TPR. We were also hoping that Robb might part out some individual days on West Coast Trip, but he didn't. I guess you're right. It seems that the ride will be shut down for a few months. I didn't realize that it was that big of a deal. I figured it would be down a day or two. On the bright side, at least it's a clone ride that we've ridden a similar model of. -Mr. Bebe

  17. ^Hmmmm. I'm quite curious AJ. You SAW it leave???? Can you elaborate??? What did you see???
  18. Can you post it now? Sorry, AJ, I cannot post it right now. But rest assured, if you go to Castles n Coasters... it will not be there.
  19. The first drop in the back seat is INSANE!!!!!! Probably the best first drop on ANY coaster I've ever ridden.
  20. Shane: GREAT looking water park!!!!! Congrats!!!! Whenever we make our way to Utah, we'll be sure to stop by. Big Mike & SFGAdv team: Have fun on Saturday!!!!! OTHER Big Mike Readers: The Bebes have secured the Castles n Coasters Mikestery Card. Picture will be posted soon.
  21. Super cool, guys! The Bebes have yet to visit the local "small" parks, so it's nice to see what they are. Castle is way nicer looking and extensive than I would have guessed.
  22. Which Fiddlesticks did you go to, Big Mike?? The one on Elliot in Tempe or the one on Indian Bend in Scottsdale?
  23. Exciting preview, Big Mike. Wish we coulda made it out to AZ!!! Glad to see you stopped by Eegee's.
