Awesome report David! I love how you made Mikestery Card a character. Did you take most of those pics illegally????!!!!! It reminded me of the day that The Bebes saw Big Mike's post for the new contest and the First Mikestery card at SFMM. It was like 3am and the card had been there for a whole day already. We got like three hours of sleep before waking up and driving to SFMM. Lady Bebe just had surgery, so she couldnt ride anything. She dropped Mr. Bebe off and then waited at Wendy's while Mr. Bebe retrieved the Mikestery card, got ONE quick ride on Goliath and called Lady Bebe to be picked up. PS - The Bebes considered driving down to DCA just to snatch up that card and add it to the collection, but we didn't. I'm glad somebody cool and deserving found it! WTG David! But I'm upset - no MANLY pose with the card?!

Wow, alot of really low guesses so far! Did you guys read the part of the instructions where it says that each picture could have as many as three duckies??? Good luck everyone!!! -Mr. Bebe -

^ Hope you enjoy catching up with The Bebes, Homeboy! I revisited some reports the other day and they really hit their stride mid-way through TPT:P2 and I think the Termination Day report might have been our peak! -Mr. Bebe -

DAY 3: CGA Tuesday August 18, 2009 THE BEBES’ very own FIND THE DUCKY contest is here! It just so happened that we entered a souvenir shop and found a bunch of yellow rubber duckies with NAMES on them. So we purchased THREE duckies. One that says Corey (Mr. Bebe), one that says Danielle (Lady Bebe) and one that says Michael (Big Mike). In honor of the big man himself, we decided to host a one-time only find the ducky contest at California’s Great America. Here are the rules: 1. Find all the duckies hidden throughout this trip report. Reply with your answer. 2. Once somebody has answered, somebody else can “Quote” them and LOCK the answer in. 3. Like usual, the first picture of the three duckies does NOT count. 4. The person to guess the correct number of duckies will win a mini-TPR bag-o-crap from the Bebes. 5. In the event of a tie, there will be a random tie-breaker (coin flip, names from a hat, etc). Here’s the Bebes’ twist: There might be up to 3 duckies in any one photo!!! So make sure you look really carefully. The three special duckies will be given to Big Mike at this years’ West Coast Bash so that he can use them for his 2010 contest. Since there are a number of TPR members on a special cruise right now (The Bebes are very jealous), the contest will stay open until Next Monday. Good Luck Everybody! [/b] All in all we had fun (as we usually do), but overall it was a pretty lame park. There were no standout rides and very little charm. Sorry CGA. Tomorrow: Gilroy Gardens during the day AND Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk at night (2 trip reports). Good luck finding the duckies!!!!!!!! Over to the flat ride centrifuge. The school field trip was sending Mr. Bebe into a nervous breakdown. This would be our last ride at CGA. No. Finally back to the Psycho Mouse. We pretty much both hate Wild Mouse rides. Even worse is a Wild Mouse with long lines!!!! Didn’t we try to get this out of the way BEFORE the crowd got to it? F’ing Cedar Fair!!!! So was it worth the wait??? Was it the worst coaster EVAR? Not in our opinion. It wasn’t very good, but it wasn’t the worst either. Lady Bebe is really excited to ride the “WORST COASTER ON THE PLANET” as voted by numerous people. It sure looks popular. Lady Bebe sings Marilyn Manson’s “Beautiful People” into her ice cream cone in front of Grizzly. Don’t ask. Sometimes she’s just weird like that. No trip would be complete without a game of Whack-a-Mole. Lady Bebe goofed off while Mr. Bebe caught a nap. Is there a show going on in here? Look! Air conditioning!!! Let’s go!!! Vortex, the stand-up coaster, was PAINFUL! Hey, there’s the Jellybean! We made our way to the Sky Tower for a park overview photo. After eating we found our way to the Rue le Dodge (bumper cars). Mmmmmmmm, pink lemonade and pizza!!!! We moseyed on to the New Orleans themed area of the park. …Flight Deck. Mr. Bebe is a fan of B&M inverts and this was the one ride in the park that The Bebes were looking forward to. It was quick and forceful, but really short. Fun. But short. We ventured on to the flat ride called Orbit (Enterprise). We got on, got strapped in, and it wouldn’t go. So we got unstrapped, got off, and moved on to…. It’s Delerium! Shaggy and Scooby were too afraid to ride, but The Bebes rode. Afterward, the ride op gave us a Scooby snack. Something up there must be quite spooky. Some kids were kind enough to invite us on with them and even sported a “TRES! OLE!” Mr. Bebe attempts a child-napping for a credit on Taxi Jam!!! Next up was the most anticipated ride in the park, Taxi Jam. Unfortunately, Adults can only ride when accompanied by a child. Grrrrr. We could barely squeeze into the Runaway Reptar, but we got our credit!!! But Mr. Bebe ate the Runaway Reptar rollercoaster instead. Yum! This Runaway Reptar (is this how we teach our children to spell?) tried to eat The Bebes. We enjoy these Giant Disk-O rides and this one was OK, with some water spitting tiki god heads near the center. Onward to the parks newest attraction, Survivor: The Ride. At least SOMETHING was open at the back of the park. Invertigo had stalled on the track a few days earlier and was closed for an extensive investigation. We cried. We moved on to Grizzly. Grizzly doesn’t open until noon. We cried some more. Psycho Mouse??? Nope. Also closed until noon. WTF!!!! First stop: Demon, An old arrow double-looper. It was quite a jarring ride. We tried front and back seats with the same result. Although, the cave pass-through is a nice touch. (Yes, this photo was altered.) Insert Clerks reference here If you win this game you get a big blue penis. A beautiful old double-decker carousel is the centerpiece of the park. Quite a nice park too! We decided to forego the rides in the front of the park and beat the crowds to the rear of the park, then work our way back around. Here is a nice miniature replica of Mount Rushmore. Of course, the season pass from Knotts won’t scan ANYWHERE except Knotts. We had to stand in the Guest Services line so they could print us our comp tickets. Until Mr. Bebe spotted multiple school field trips gathering in the picnic area. Mr. Bebe’s blood began to boil!!!! Since we have Cedar Fair Platinum Passes, we were provided with a PRIMO VIP Preferred parking spot right next to the main gate. It looked like we were gonna have a great, crowd free day!!! We woke up, grabbed a quick bite from the Best Western lobby, and headed for California’s Great America. These are the duckies you are looking for. The three in this picture DO NOT count toward the total. -

^ Agreed!! I LOVE raw tuna, as well as a few other raw fish! And that sandwich was GOOD! The sauce on it was a bit distracting from the tuna flavor, I probably would have ordered it with light sauce had I known, but it was tasty nonetheless. Unfortunately, Mr. Bebe doesn't share my love for raw tuna, but he's coming around. He had never even tried sushi when we first met and now he loves it! One of these days he's gonna be ordering tuna sashimi with me! Anyway, glad you've enjoyed the TR... Mr. Bebe is at home right now working on the next one! - Lady Bebe -

DAY 2: SFDK Monday August 17, 2009 After eating, we drove down to Santa Clara and checked into the Best Western Santa Clara. It was a very nice budget hotel. Recommended. Tomorrow: California’s Great America featuring The Bebe’s very own FIND THE DUCKY game!!!! And Garlic Fries, which were actually very plain despite their bold look Mr. Bebe has the BBQ Blue Burger, loaded with Bleu Cheese. Taylor’s signature sandwich: Seared Rare Ahi burger. Mmmmmmmmmmm Lady Bebe says that any joint with a sign that says EAT has gotta be great! Hello Taylor’s Automatic Refresher!!! Goodbye SFDK! Tres! Ole! Mr. Bebe crushes a penny for Lady Bebe’s Dahdee. The management at Six Flags says that adults cannot ride Roadrunner Express without being accompanied by a child (hmmm, seems backward). None-the-less, we borrowed some poor children and got our much anticipated credit. We’ve become such credit molesters. Raise your hands if you’re “Sure”. Tasmanian Devil. A fun, inside facing, spinning, giant rocking pendulum. Fun. Onward to Merlin’s Dolphin Show. Sadly, Merlin didn’t take part in Merlin’s Dolphin Show. These other four dolphins entertained us instead. But, like most of the animal shows at Discovery Kingdom, it wasn’t as good a show as we’ve seen elsewhere. This was probably the highlight of the park. Tava was awesome and the show was super entertaining. All of the other animal shows were substandard, but Tava was top-notch! We love Tava!!!! Next, we ventured on to Tava’s Elephant show. What might the bat’s name be??? Batty the bat? Nope. It’s the much more family oriented name, Bacardi. OH, and nice balls, Bacardi! Foxie the fox Porkie the porcupine AAAAHhhhhhhhhH!!!!!!!!!!!! Jocko co-starred with Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore in 50 First Dates and also provided the voices of some dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. I asked for an autograph but he turned me down! Bastard! Let’s go see what Jocko is up to!!! Lame, oversized kiddie ride. Speaking of Cobra…. This floorless had some originality and was really fun. Easily the best ride in the park. The straight drop was excellent and better than the standard banked dive into a loop that you find on almost every B&M looper. And the “cobra roll?” Not really, but it looks like one in the picture. This is a half loop with an extra half twist into a half loop (it doesn’t send you back in the same direction you came). Sort of a cross between a cobra and a corkscrew. Neat ride. We rode a lot! Mr. Bebe shows just how easy it is to slip from the restraints and several small children ran away from the ride. Next up: The B&M Floorless known as Medusa (formerly Medusa:West) Back toward the other rides we didn’t get on yesterday with a stop at the dolphin feeding area. Lady Bebe and I snapped photos of these two dolphins at the EXACT same time. What are the odds? Big Spin is a spinning wild mouse ride where two couples sit face to face. We actually got a really great spinning ride on this and would’ve liked to ride again. The line for Tony Hawk’s Big Spin was pretty long, considering everything else was basically a walk-on. We waited like 45 minutes in line for this one. We rode 4 times. We rode the front and the back twice, switching left and right seats. Somewhat fun, but it rattled Lady Bebe’s brain a bit too much. Upon completion of our four rides, our souvenir cup was gone. That makes 4 souvenir cups confiscated this year. P.S. - The left side is smoother. Next up: Roar. I hid our souvenir cup behind a bench and we got on the wooden beast. “30 Degreeeees!!!!!” Despite the limp appearance, V2 is quite fun and different from the other Impulse Coasters out there. V2. Or, as we like to call it, 30 degree Velocity. We looked at some penguins as we made our way toward the area of V2, Roar and Big Spin. We arrived in the park just minutes before noon and caught the Sea Lion Show. It was fun, but I’ve seen better. Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, and DONKEYS! Oh my! Theme Park Tour: Part Tres!!!!! Ole! Welcome back to SFDK. After sampling some bread with dipping sauces and purchasing a few bottles of wine, we jumped into the Jellybean and headed off to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for our Day 2 festivities. Yesterday was all about the animals so today is all about the rides! Well, mostly about the rides. Mr. Bebe proudly represents the classy people of Theme Park Review. After you… V. Sattui Winery. We had visited here a few years back during a limo wine tour and loved it. We woke up extra early with a plan to visit a Napa Valley winery before heading to the park. We got ready, grabbed our Six Flags souvenir cup and headed out to booze it up!!! -

^ I know, it's been soooo long since our last post! We've just been so busy working, we're having a hard time finding time to put our TRs together. I'll try to see what I can do about getting you your Lady Bebe fix! Lady Bebe -
^^spaceace, Firstly, Big Mike erroneously listed the league name as WOODEN coaster league here on The Road Show. It is actually WOOD coaster league on ESPN.com. Secondly, I myself registered as the tenth and final team in that league (sorry ). You'll have to join the NFL.com league, or wait for a third league to open(if it happens). -Mr Bebe
