Thank you Sharky! In fact, I haven't been to Thorpe park and I am not familiar with the layout of Stealth. Hence the word SIMILAR when comparing it to Xcelerator. Maybe I was ahead of myself for suggesting that it could possibly be a clone.

Mechanic, LOL on the "fix". Sadly, I already have a big trip planned for this year, and FMP (am I the first to acronym that?) won't be part of it. So, yeah, it will have to last a few years for me to make it there. IF they don't close down after just a few months!

Yep. It's Stealth from Thorpe Park. An Intamin launch coaster similar (if not a clone) to Knotts' Xcelerator. Even has the same 57 Chevy looking cars.

Hello!! My name is COREY. I grew up in Phoenix, AZ but now reside in Los Angeles. I work on film/TV in the lighting department. SFMM has been my home park even when I lived in Arizona. I have taken a few trips to eastern theme parks and plan on more. My favorite food is Italian Sausage sandwiches with sauted peppers and onions. I have a beautiful wife, Danielle (see below), two little ladies (doggies) and a nice condo in the Western San Fernando Valley. And my name is Danielle. I am a SoCal native and have grown up pretty spoiled with SFMM, Knotts and Disneyland all very close by. I have always been a coaster enthusiast but I didn't know there was such a thing until I met my husband!! The only other thing that we might love just as much as roller coasters is cruising. I'm sure the last thing SFMM management wants is another X / Deja Vu type fiasco where the ADVERTISED attraction doesnt open on time, or even worse, til the following year (cough cough X)! Thy're gonna do everything possible to get this thing open near Memorial day.

The name sucks, and doesnt convey "AMUSEMENT PARK". If they don't close in the next few years, I'll try to make it there.

Awww, we're bummed. We just got home and saw your post, we would have loved to meet Robb and Jeff!! Oh well, next time!!! We never even bothered with X2, Corey's mom is in town and we are trying to ease her in slowly. It was her first time on Goliath and Scream today... She considered Tatsu but passed on it, it looked to be about a 20 minute wait, not too bad. All in all, it was a great day!!

The Bebes are at the cyber cafe at SFMM right now. The longest wait today was the ticket booth. They were dog slow there. But we haven't encountered anything longer than a two train wait, and it seems all rides are operating 2 trains. Hours are extended 10:30am to 10pm tonight for Spring Break, but no one is here. Haven't been over to X2 yet.
