Thanks guys! We're glad you like the shirts, they were a last minute decision with some iron on transfers we had! traincrossin: They had a sign posted at Ravine Flyer 3 saying that we had to have a child to ride with, and although we briefly looked around for a child to snatch, we had to let that one go. Big Mike: Glad you like our Trip Report style... We've studied the master! - The Bebes P.S. Big Mike, you've made Lady Bebe blush!! -

Hey All!! We never realized how totally exhausted we would be on this trip and how completely impossible it would be to keep updated on our trip reports!! But we've finally gotten around to putting together Day One, so here it goes... Day One of The Bebes Theme Park Tour: Part Deux was originally just going to be a flight to Pittsburgh with a little relaxation and a trip to Primanti Bros. before hitting Kennywood on Day Two. But, Mr. Bebe had the idea that we might be able to make a mad dash up to Waldameer to ride Ravine Flyer II before they closed at 10pm. The only problem was that our flight didn't land until 6pm, and with the two hour drive up to Erie, that would get us there with just about an hour AT THE MOST. So, the big question of the day was, do we risk it? And then this frog ate Mr. Bebe's head. This concludes Day One of The Bebes Theme Park Tour: Part Deux. We hope you enjoyed and we hope you come back and check out Day Two: Kennywood! The Bebes took some photos on their way out of the park On our second time around on Ravine Flyer II, the park caught wind of the fact that The Bebes hit their 100th credit and set off some fireworks in celebration.... Well, maybe it wasn't actually for the Bebes, but we'd like to think so. AWWW There it is! So pretty. Ravine Flyer II was also Mr. Bebe's 100th credit!! But for some reason, Mr. Bebe only went 45 degrees!? Ravine Flyer II was Lady Bebe's 100th Coaster!! NINETY DEGREES!!! Both Bebes thought Steel Dragon was super fun!! Wait, what credit is this?? That must mean.... Next up was Steel Dragon Lady Bebe gives Comet the 'thumbs up' even though she thought for sure that the train was going to come off the track For some reason Mr. Bebe was relieved to find that he was tall enough to ride Comet We got our unlimited ride wristbands and GIANT handstamps We checked out the park map before heading inside THE BEBES MADE IT TO WALDAMEER!! After we landed in Altanta for a layover, we were able to hop on an earlier flight to Pittsburgh, ensuring our arrival at Waldameer before closing time. Where does the GPS say we're going? And why does the clock say it's only 5:19pm? Maybe we're going to Beaver?? Mr. Bebe sure hopes so! We're on the road! But where are we heading? We've landed! Now, all we have to do is get our car and head out. Hey, we can see Pittsburgh down there! -
I need you all to help me win a contest at work!

Closed on Sundays !!!!

What is it about Kingda Ka?
The Bebes replied to DJSonic's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
We got to SFGAdv around 3pm and Ka was NOT operating. We went toward El Toro. On our way there we saw an empty El Toro train. We got to the line an about 30 people or so were lined up waiting for the queue to be opened. It opened and we went in. After ONE train ran the course, some people weren't released from the train and it shut down again. We waited in the station for a good 30min. While in line we noticed Kinda Ka cycling. WITH people in it. El Toro re-opened. We got a ride in row 3 right away and came back around for a ride in the very back with no wait before the queue began to fill up. We went to Ka. 1 hour wait from the 2 hour mark and we saw 1 rollback. But otherwise, it was fully operational with three trains and feeling very rough (Our first ever ride on Kinda Ka) in the very back. See more Trip Reports from our Theme Park Tour: Part Deux by clicking the banner below (we are several days behind, so keep checking back!) -The Bebes -
Funny thing is.... After about 45seconds in line, Lady Bebe's anti-credit-whore mode kicked in and we left. Empty-handed. I told her I'd stop "somewhere" on our way to Philly for a drink and a little snack (since we were heading for The Dining Car & Market in Philly for dinner). The first place I saw off the Turnpike............. CINNABON!!!! OMG!!!! No line and Lady Bebe was very happy!!!!!!!!! -Mr. Bebe

Hey everyone! It’s Day Five of The Bebes Theme Park Tour: Part Deux, or as we’ve been referring to it, TPTP Deux, and we’ve just now gotten around to putting some of our TRs together. Riding roller coasters is exhausting stuff! We hope to post the Day 1 stuff tomorrow, but until then we wanted to share a little mini adventure that we had the day before TPTP Deux officially kicked off. We spent most of the day Sunday packing and preparing for our trip when we decided that we wanted to take a quick trip to SFMM for our 97th credit, Terminator Salvation! We read that the park was open till 10pm that night and we pulled up to the gate around 8:15pm and there was a sign saying that the park was closing at 9pm. So we ran!! We got in line, no problem, and waited… For an hour and a half. We went through the first 2 pre-show areas and kinda missed what was going on before going to the third pre-show area. We were taking some photos and watching the video when we realized that a lady behind us was having a seizure. A lady from further back in line came running up, we assumed she was a nurse, and one of the employees called for the medic and there wasn’t anything else anyone could do except just watch this lady seizing. It was so surreal. One of the guys she was with just very calmly told us that she had epilepsy and that she was having a reaction to the flashing lights. He was so calm and we were just standing there with our mouths gaping. And then we got ushered into the station and, needless to say, we can’t tell you anything about the pre-show. As we were entering the station, one of the employees looked back and said, “Oh, is she seizing?” and went back to help. The way he said it, it made us feel like this had happened before. And the ride had only been open for three days. So, if you have epilepsy, skip the pre-shows! We weren’t able to find out what happened with her, but we hope that she is okay!! And then, finally, we got to ride Terminator Salvation. And it is FAST!! We were both very pleasantly surprised at how much we liked it. We were worried that it didn’t have a big drop and it seemed to be short, but what it lacks in those areas, it makes up with speed, smoothness and airtime! We couldn't hear much of the audio but we did hear, "TAKE THE TUNNEL!!" and we both started cracking up! The only complaint we have is that we couldn’t go on it again. When we get home, we’re really looking forward to riding it another dozen or so times! And we especially hope that next time everyone gets through the line safely. Coming up next: Day One of The Bebes Theme Park Tour: Part Deux Will we be able to get to Pittsburgh in time to make a mad dash to Waldameer and ride Ravine Flyer II?? The Bebes reaction to Terminator Salvation... TAKE THE TUNNEL!!! The corridor right before the station. This is where the flashing lights were. The first pre-show room that we can't remember anything about The train whips right around the queue line! Lady Bebe as we entered the queue -
Hersheypark Springtime in the Park
The Bebes replied to Jman0477's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Storm Runner IS open!! We were at Hersheypark today and Storm Runner was closed for most of the day but it did open. We got one ride on it before it started raining and they promptly shut it down again. Fahrenheit was running all day except for when it was raining. It was a bit disappointing because we had talked to someone about which rides would be most likely to close due to rain and the guy assured us that pretty much everything runs, rain or shine, unless there is lightening. BUT, as soon as there was a little drizzle, they were both shut down immediately. There were a lot of kids at the park today on field trip but the park was still pretty empty. Our 45 minute wait for the front seat of Storm Runner was our longest wait of the day! Good luck to all of you visiting this summer!! -

we will be passing through Baltimore on our way from SFGAdv to Washington DC after SFGAdv has closed (see our schedule on pg1), so it will likely be pretty late by the time we get into MD. Any recommendations around the DC area??? -

TPDave, For a moment, I thought you were telling me not to miss the Flying Turns at Knoebels (which definately won't be open this week). Arrg! Also, it seems StormRunner might very well still be closed at HersheyPark, which bums me out. That was one of the rides I was most looking forward to! -Mr. Bebe -
Coast2coaster.com is pretty awesome. Nosferatu: I didn't study your map very closely, but noticed that the ORIGINAL DISNEYLAND in California is MISSING! OMFG!!!! I have been working on a similar map as Coast2coaster, but mine doesn't include "credit whore" stops. All parks on my map have at least one legitimate Non-Kiddie coaster. Check it out here (it takes a minute to fully load): http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=105583143516851356071.0004659db4999e1713a31&ll=37.370157,-95.800781&spn=34.96075,54.052734&z=4 You can click on the balloons / thumbtacks for more info and links to the official websites.

Hey Guys! Part Deux starts in about a day! We can still use some help. What rides tend to get the lines and what rides can we expect no lines. What are the best food choices in the parks and/or out of the parks. Any rides other than rollercoasters that are NOT TO MISS? -

I am confused by Knoebel's web site and the prices. We were planning on paying PER RIDE, expecting to spend roughly $20. The website says that on May 27 the offer "Special School Picnic Rates" Wooden Roller Coasters Included Plan A - ride from 10 am - 6 pm $19.00 Plan B - any four-hour block $14.50 They DO NOT offer a Pay One Price option on that day or any other sort of package as far as I can see other than the "Special school picnic rates". Is this "Special school picnic rate" available to ANYONE? Or do we have to be part of a "school picnic"? -

Scored a pair of HersheyPark tix on ebay for $60. ^Big Mike, We are so jeaous that you'll be in Holiday World just days before our outing!!! P.S. - If anyone else would like to hang out with The Bebes on our tour, just let us know. The only park we have been to before is Kennywood (our starting point for Theme Park Tour 2006: The O.G.). So, again, if anyone can give us advice on the parks (ie: plan of attack / hidden gems) that would be great. Thx! The Bebes -

^ Thanks! That sounds delicious! We would like all the suggestions you've got, we not only love roller coasters, we love new and yummy food places! We already have plans for Primanti Bros in PIT, Denny's Beer Barrel Pub on our way to Knoebels, Cheese Steaks in Philly, Crabcakes in Baltimore, and Doumar's in Norfolk. So, any food suggestions are greatly appreciated! -

Does Waldameer ever stop running their rides or close earlier than their posted closing time??? We'd hate to drive 2+ hours from Pittsburgh to arrive at Waldameer at 9:30pm and find that they stopped running RFII or closed for the night. Then drive 2+ hours back to Pittsburgh. We were lucky enough to ride the Voyage in 2006 and have been anticipating another Gravity Group creation! -

BIG MIKE & ANYONE ELSE: If we wanted to hit Dutch Wonderland we would have to end our day at Hersheypark around 3pm or 4pm (closes at 8pm) in order to get to Dutch Wonderland for 1-2hrs before they close at 6pm. We pose this question: In your opinion, is 1-2hrs at DUTCH WONDERLAND worth losing 4-5hrs at Hersheypark AND costing an additional $50? We have never been to either Hershypark OR Dutch Wonderland. -
