  1. I believe so. But it's similar to this coaster, in a very desolate location.
  2. There used to be a coaster at the Texas State Fair that I think operated like that. Also, Robb found a coaster (theres a POV) somewhere that was at a park only open to the public like 3 days a year.
  3. This COULD be it, I'm not sure. I'm not from Canada, but this could definately be a possibility. rcdb.com/2068.htm It was at the Canadian National Expedition
  4. I believe its the first one (The black one) it goes up kind of like a normal loop, then twists out. And, on the thriller (Texas Tornado, Zonga, Tsunami, or whatever its called this week), the last two inversions were very corkscrewish. Schwarzkopf's large portable attractions seems to be the ones he upped his game on and deviated away from loop and leaned more towards the corkscrew. PS. Just a sidenote, after I saw the video of Robb and Piers riding it, I to this day call it 'Olimpia Loopon' and often quote, "Something TERRIBLE has happened!!!"
  5. Enough about Astroworld. Sky Screamer... does anybody know when we can expect pieces on site?
  6. When Astroworls was demolished, care was not kept in mind. So many of the rides were damaged beyond repair. I heard that the Ultra Twister was also badly damaged. But as for batman, it is rusted very badly and weathered down.
  7. I'm actually excited for Sky Skreamer too! Everybody seems to complain about how it isn't extreme and that its boring. I agree SFOT needs a new coaster, but I like this too. I rode the one in Galveston this summer and was actually quite surprised, it really is a fun ride. And there is a thrill factor in it. I can't wait to see this as part of the park skyline.
  8. If it wasn't for Robb's commentary, we wouldn't have "TAKE THE TUNNEL!" and "ready... 90 DEGREES!!!" and "TWISTYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!" Robb's commentary is what makes TPR, TPR. Without it, we might as well all be Acers.
  9. Positive- Probably Shoclwave at SFOT... thing pulls a little more than 5g I think. Negative- For sure NTAG Lateral- I honestly have no clue, but my best bet would be Iron Shark at GIHHP at the transition to the brake run. Almost pulled a muscle in my neck.
  10. Iron Rattler looks INCREDIBLE for some reason with the park skyline. Like the original, this is going to be one photogenic ride. Nice shots!
  11. There is nothing wrong with a short, but intense ride. I mean, look at Iron Shark! Iron Rattler regardless of length is going to kick butt!
  12. ^^^ ...and only let in a certain number of people into the station at one time. First let in a few flash passers, then some more people in the line.
  13. That is STUPID! But, I could see them doing it like this on a busy day, and then like normal on a slower day with preferred seating. But then this could take forever too. You have to wait for each individual person to go and put their stuff in the cubby, then get back in, then pull down the harness. Then the ops have to check the harness, and repeat another 11 times. Sounds like a nightmare...
  14. Haha that last picture! Where did you take these?
  15. They are removing alot more wood than I expected... which I guess is a good thing considering the original Rattler swayed every time someone next to it sneezed. Hopefully they are doing a bit of re-structuring!
  16. Without going all scientific, front row of each car is best, and the cars get progressively rougher as you move back. So, the front row of the first car is the smoothest, first row of the second car is the secoond smoothest...so on. Tested it out on the original Rattler at Fiesta Texas. The front row was not bad at all. It made me question why people complained all the time. Then I rode it in the second row in the second to last car... SO ROUGH.
  17. I know at SFOT, hang a right after entering the park and there's a path to the right everyone misses. It's 100% shade and its beautiful. Nobody is ever there despite the hot summer temperatures. You pop out right next to Judge Roy Scream.
  18. Wow... it realy DOES look cheap for SFMM. They didn't even get the order of the colors of the rainbow right, but that isn't a concern. It looks too flexible and like it could snap. Just my opinion. As for YOLOcoaster, I most likely wont ever get to ride it but I personally don't think the park could have needed ANOTHER coaster. It seems like they get one every year. It's an interesting concept but its too short. It needs more after the 'top-hat' or whatever they are trying to call it.
  19. I mean.... well.... she IS sick, but this is awkward. I could not imagine living like that. She was completely COVERED in the grease from the ride. Thats one sad disorder.
  20. There's is a distinct difference between a train full of screaming riders, and the kiddie coaster with a 20 year old yuppie girl screaming louder than the 4 year old in the first car.
  21. The place where it swayed is being changed completely anyways, that's where the 0g roll is going to be! ... And the bottom of the fan curve.
  22. Ehh... I still see them getting one of those portable carnival style coasters. After rebuilding, expenses will probably be too high to get a big coaster.
  23. RAW. There is a lot of 2013 hotness that can be put into the next release!
  24. Iron Shark and the Boardwalk Bullet are excellent compact coasters. The billet has some awesome speed and the Iron Shark is just intense right out of the station.
