Matt- Thank you for the kind words. I too am very glad to have construction back under way. End results should be around thanksgiving without any major set backs. Sid-The next phase as in the in line twist? haha. Just giving you a hard time. Mightbeawannabe-Well I am glad that you read all the way through the thread. Hopefully you enjoyed watching the progression of the rides from simple beginnings all the way to completion. As a side note, the material I am using for Manta is actually model railroad plastic, called styrene. Fun stuff! Hope you keep watching this thread! Rebecca-I was going to say that you have never seen any of my models and then i realized you have in fact seen Insane and part of Manta. Go you! Hobbit-Thanks bud. On a different note, I cannot wait to ride the coaster in your avatar this summer! Bob-Thanks for the nice words. The models are certainly time consuming and almost monotonous, but the end produce definitely makes it all worthwhile. 31 days until Europe! Portugepunk-Thanks, bud! Steelinwood-Haven't really crossed that bridge yet. Before I purchased all the supplies, my supplier actually sent me pictures of them bending the spine (to see if it cooperated in the way I needed) and painting it. So though I do not really know what I will be using to paint the ride, it should hopefully work now because it worked before. It will be painted the colors of the real ride, obviously. AND, unlike all the other models, Manta will be hand painted versus being spray painted. I started on the second half of the pretzel today, so woohoo! I have not done as much in the past week as I would have liked, but work as slammed me. I have monday and tuesday off, so expect a lot of work to be done during those two days. Thanks for reading.

Well, I figured I should probably update my list since I have had numerous people asking about my maps and brochures. If you do see something on the older list, please feel free to ask if I still have it. I have more maps than I do places to store them, so this new list is likely to have some misplaced of forgotten. Great stuff, the coaster and scenery look fantastic! You should definitely make a thread because I would be interested in seeing the rest of the park. Thanks for posting. -

Technical-I thought you did a great job with the coaster overall. Overall, the track had a great selection of elements and you executed them well too. There were a couple weird pumps though, it seemed, like in the top parts of the loop as well as a couple of the other transitions. Keep up the great work though with the track, you did a phenomenal job for not using any outside/3rd party programs. You also did a great great job with the supports that you hand made, they looked very realistic. I was disappointed though that you did have some pre fab supports as they look very different from the others. Maybe try to do them all hand made! Great job, bud! Adrenaline-I love the bigger B&M inverts, and this one definitely classifies as a bigger one. Great elements, great drop and good pacing. Originality-Batwings are awesome. You did a great job. Felt like if a dragon khan was an invert! Can't wait to ride more coasters from you! -

Jason-That is what I meant, new reader to this thread. I am glad it caught your eye as well, as I would love to publicize these models as much as possible. I wish I could have this thread in the real forum because I know it would get read more because we all know most people don't take the games forum seriously. Thoughts, Matt? What if I add please? Derek-I had my time with k'nex, but drifted away after feeling limited by its abilities. Working with the plastic also gives a much larger reward at the end when it all starts coming together. This has been, by far, the most satisfying of the models to make. Thanks for following the thread though, I try to put an effort in to the posts and pictures I show. Mightbeawannabe-Did you go through all 20 pages?! I don't even do that haha, so if you did, congrats! You certainly can give models a try. I mean, it took until my 4th model (Manta) to dial in on model making pretty completely. Also, the scale is roughly 1:140. If I may ask, what brought you to TPR, and more specifically, this thread?

Ghost- Thanks for the kind words. IF I do bring the model with me to IAAPA, it won't actually be for IAAPA. Fingers crossed and maybe with enough support, my plan is to GIVE the model to SeaWorld and just have them put it on display in some store. That would be the ultimate. So the reason I would take it with me to IAAPA wouldn't actually be for IAAPA, it would just be because I am conveniently in Orlando. You too, my friend, can live the dream as well. Just put enough effort and care into your work and its yours. mejaybe-I believe you are a new reader, so welcome! I am glad you enjoyed this update and find the ones to come all the better!

From what I understand, it is just not being renewed for a second season. Meaning it will conclude its first and only season as planned on May 27th. Is this not true?

What's up TPR!?!?!?! It has been too long since I have made a legitimate post in this thread, which saddens me deeply. However, the wait is OVER! Finals have passed and I am settling in at home, which means ample time to work on the model. Look for continual updates over the summer, though expect most of them from now until June 14th. June 24th is the day I depart for the TPR Europe trip, and once I get back, it is right in to summer classes. Summer classes stretch right up until pretty much the first day of the fall semester, and I will be balancing my homework with my work at Elitch Gardens. Long story short, it is do or die time to get this project done if I want to have it done for IAAPA in November. Help motivate me by telling me your thoughts, comments and criticism! This latest update is that of the first part of the pretzel loop. It has come out really well I think and looks amazing in real life. The pieces fit perfectly together and it just really looks nice, if I do say so myself haha. What do you guys think about it? Anyone excited that the hiatus is over and this project is in full swing? I certainly am! Again, I hope you enjoy this update as much as I am! Without further a due, I give you the Pret. (Get it?) Jordan Edit: I am aware that the single support on the back side of the Pretzel should have a partner. However, I misplaced a bag of support beams and don't have enough to complete the supports. I ordered a new bag today and will install that missing piece ASAP. The flash made it look gross since it is dark out. So bare with me! Herro pretzel loop! This picture will be LEGIT when everything is in place! I didn't pay too much attention, but this will be ROUGHLY where the Manta sign will go. You will notice there is still some tape on the track. The reason being it isn't 100% dry yet and the tape is holding everything together for the night. To conclude, I give you a picture of the entire project to date! Hope you have enjoyed!

Long story short, I used to be a sponsored downhill biker and heard rumor of some epic terrain park in the mountains in my back yard. Went huntin' for it and ended up stumbling upon a geocache thing. Kind of weird finding it (small little sucker) and missing the bike park.
