And SF doesnt neglect some of their parks? You think it is fair that SFMM got a $10 million rehab of X and then two coasters in two years, yet other SF's parks get nothing? You logic doesn't make sense.

^That is nutz!!!! Terminator's theming doesn't compare. Also, lets see which coaster's theming is still holding up in the next year or two. I doubt it will be Terminators. Just my opinion, but that statement is off the wall

^^I went a few years after it opened and I didn't think it ever came close. Maybe Robb or some of the others that rode it opening year can give some input on that. Even in the videos from the opening year it looked like it "maybe" got 3/4's the way up.

I completely agree with those that said Sea Dragon is a fun coaster. Maybe a little small but it's big on fun!

I don't think it is at all, since it just goes halfway up the tower and falls backwards. It has never came close to getting to the top of that tower. Thats my opinion on why I don't think it be on that list. Kingda Ka and Dragster both go up and over the highest point and they are full circuit coasters.

Don't know how many Stern fans there are in here, but during Robin Quivers' news she started a discussion about roller coasters. Howard claims he hates and is afraid of them. He goes on to say how unsafe they are, which reinforces the false ideas people have concerning coasters. Robin went on to say they she used to dream of going around the world to ride every coaster there in existence. It was cool to hear someone like Robin admit her nerdy fascination of coasters like many of us have! I know she frequents SFGADV and I believe she previously mentioned going to CP. MF being named top ride again was her second story in the news that started this discussion. Anyone else here it this morning? "Stern Rules, Bababooey!"

Wrong..It is not that similar to a Gerstlauer. It is longer, taller, faster, more intense, and aside from the first hill I would say its better in all ways. Gerstlauer does have more theming to their rides, something I personally don't give hoot about. Farenheit is way more then a Gerstalauer.

I am loving this thread for some reason. Nice discussion! I want to belive the Beast is the greatest wooden coaster ever, but my last few rides, I seem to get really bored after the first drop and the next, and only, great drop on the ride. For historical purposes you want to love it, but in reality, it isn't that great

In this order: 1) Alpengeist 2) Raptor (I don't get any of the negative feedback it receives here) 3) Montu 4) Great Bear 5) Patriot THe Batman clones almost ruined the invert concept for me. The one at magic mountain about made me sick. There is no way I could ranked any of the clones in my top 5. I would rather take a ride on a Vekoma invert before one of these crap chutes.

Thanks for that article Tea Cup. I have read much on the octopus and watched many television shows, but I have never read that one. Did you watch the video of the octopus squeezing through the 1" hole? They are amazing creatures.
