  1. I guess, they do need to market it right though, I think sfmm kind of failed at creating buzz outside of the coaster community, tonight was the first night I've heard one of my friends talking about Terminator the ride. One last question, do supports usually arrive this early before the ground has most of its footers poured?
  2. I need to quote this because that was an almost identical experience to my first time on Screamin', except I knew the loop was there
  3. The problem is, it creates buzz around coaster geeks who are not the majority of the clientele. I'm pretty sure there arent many regular gp people who happen to like coasters checking tpr and kd fan sites to see what was coming up. Granted there will probably be a couple of locals who say "Did you know Kings Dominion is getting a new coaster?" but the buzz pretty much ends there. If it was announced that it was a hyper, I'm pretty sure the conversation would go on longer about how awesome it's gonna be. Besides, wasnt Diamondback announced kind of around when track/ supports started showing up?
  4. I think the reason B&M hasnt built a woodie is because they are a lot less reliable, unless they make their own kind of PnP track
  5. tat's juzt bahd speling Haha I was talking to this person on AIM tonight who's going to sfmm soon, (s)he asked me if (s)he should go on Batman because she didnt want to get her feet cut off like that person on the Superman Tower of Power
  6. I think KD should be nice and release the details since we already know that there's a new coaster coming
  7. Forgive me for this totally useless post, but I thought it was cool that the third post in this thread became a complete reality...how amazing right? heh heh heh God I'm gonna get it
  8. X2 at the bottom of the drop on the outside seat was hell for me, luckily it's so awesome that it made up for that rough spot
  9. I've noticed that on this and the other GCI I've been on Roar, must just be their chain mechanisms or whatever. Great report though, makes me excited to go back
  10. so wait, does that mean it's either the mysterious red or yellow tracks? Because we know those arent dive machines, and for that matter, hypers can have supports just as thick as dive machines
  11. I'm still betting on Intamin, those box supports are not nearly B&My enough and just like iSpeed's next generation Intamin supports
  12. Laser Snake Horse on Fire would have been, but I guess Cool Cool Bear
  13. If you're super hardcore, there's a commuter bus that leaves from Century City to Santa Clarita at like 8 in the morning on weekdays only. After there you need to transfer to another bus which will take you literally right to sfmm. Getting back from that is a whole other story though, I usually have my parents drive me there so it's no real problem for me.
  14. I doubt B&M would ever do that, hell even their mega coasters tend to stay in the low 200s
  15. Werner Stengel created the first suspended coaster named "Alpen Flug"...well designed at least
  16. Wooooooooooah *puffs* that's deep
  17. Yeah my friend said something about his "seatbelt getting loose" (he's gp so I think he meant restraint) and I remember reading some review of X from a while ago where someone said the same thing, but I do agree, when X2 molests you, and there's no fire, it's not nearly as fun
  18. ^ I dunno if I trust those SF overheard things, besides that was probably just someone exaggerating
  19. Haha I kinda have to agree with you, when I rode on the outside a few of the times I really got raped by it at the bottom of the first drop and Raven Turn, still a fantastic ride for me though
  20. before you go up the ramp to the station, make a right and go through the exit, it gets you to Tatsu, Termy, and the back of the park faster
  21. Great PTR I cracked up about the Atom Smasher thing because I get busted up on that ride when I sit on the outside. Seems like you had a very fun day, you pretty much rode everything, but hated x2 which is odd.... But most importantly...you TOOK THE TUNNEL
  22. Looks pretty fun, but the outward loop would probably hurt, and it seems like that if one of these were ever built that it'd be a maintenance nightmare, moving parts on coasters never seem to work amazingly *cough* X *cough* But overall the creativity is awesome
  23. I've done viper at sfmm 4 or maybe 5 times in a row, I forgot...I don't advise doing that, and at the kroq event I rode x2 7 times
  24. I think it's just Intamin's time of the month
