  1. That is honestly super cool, but do they have life guards inside the cave because it seems like it has the potential to be a safety nightmare if something should go wrong
  2. Wow that really is beautiful, man my night ride on that was amazing
  3. ^^^ In response to terminator not shortening lines: If a park opens up a new ride and it makes other lines shorter, that means they fail. The whole point of a new ride is to drive a bunch of people into the park, but of course all of the people that go aren't gonna stand in line for Termy all day, in theory on slow days lines might be shorter due to another place for guests to go, but a Memorial day weekend with a new ride opening up is just a disaster for anyone who's trying to avoid lines
  4. I've always wondered how much money SF actually had to shell out for this and how much was paid for by whoever made Terminator
  5. ^Did anyone else notice that the Six Flags logo wasnt on the front in that picture?
  6. I thought they just have some kind of schedule for switching sides, I could be really wrong though
  7. One thing about the ride that I couldnt tell was if the audio box was themed or not. It looked kind of odd, but it didnt really resemble anything. I also thought that I noticed the back of it light up but that may have just been a reflection. Anyone wanna answer my dumb question and answer if it was themed or not? EDIT: I just looked through BizarROS's media day thread and saw the same thing
  8. ^Salvation! It's got the sound effects!
  9. ^^ Theming a large ride is probably just too expensive for a low budget company like Six Flags to do, and it really really really adds to the ride experience ^If they had a coaster line, it'd pretty much render the pre shows useless and that'd mean a huge waste of money
  10. ^It's always wind, or the fire gods decide that it's a bad day, on Thursday the fire gods decided it was an okay day and only had one side with fire.
  11. Awesome stuff, although sorry Sarah wasn't feeling great. I think I saw you sitting at the eatery across from Gold Rusher when we went to ride Batman, but I wasn't sure. Still should have said hi. Here is my review and pics from the ride. http://micechat.com/forums/blogs/weekend-update/1104-weekend-update-terminator-salvation-debut-seaworld-double-dip-tokyo-time-venice.html It's really late to reply to this, but I'm in that first picture of yours of the airtime hill from the bridge! great report too
  12. ^I've posted way too much on this ptr but I do have to agree with you there, the fog after the second raven turn in the front row was so amazingly cool, especially with all of the lights on, really makes me wanna go to wcb next year
  13. ^Oh no way, I think I was in the car right behind you, I remember seeing someone stop at the light and the door opening, I didnt see anyone puking though...luckily, but I know I did see you yesterday (I was the dork in the green sweatshirt)
  14. Dear most amazing and ingenious Title Fairy, may I please have the custom title: "I have talked to Robb...once"
  15. 1)X2 2) Terminator (Could change as it loses its "new ride" status) 3) Tatsu 4) Goliath 5) Riddler's
  16. I bet those Terminator, X2, Tatsu, and Goliath night rides rocked, almost like I was right there. Haha great TR dude, but I'm tooootally disagreeing with you on the pretzel loop, clearly the best part, man x2's empty station was probably the second biggest highlight of the event (behind THE TUNNEL and gang).
  17. ^I was also thinking that they needed to do something different about that bridge because it really was asking for idiots to just drop stuff on the people on the ride.
  18. ^They really rush you in and out of those pre shows, they don't wanna waste any time, and once you're done with the last pre show you pretty much walk right on Here are the pictures I took: Signage with a bonus Vu in the background Hold the phone! What's this? Theming at a Six Flags park? No way S for Sector! Or Salvation! Or Super fun! "Cause I jizz in my pants" Yeah I'd tap that It's a truck... Preshow ftw! Get back to managing our budget Mr. Terminator Look at that station, aint she a beauty? Those are the actual gear mechanisms for the escape train Those aren't rows, they're sectors stupid I thought I saw the back of the train light up, but I might have been wrong Stupid camera mounts ruining the front of the train I think I spot nerds Weeee! Airtime! That's what it looks like when a busted SUV takes a crap Best sign in the park! I spy TPR people
  19. Believe me, after your third time riding Terminator, it gets old pretty fast, first time it's cool, but each time thereafter it loses its awesomeness. The lighting inside the pre show buildings is really cool though, it's like a rave!
  20. Six Flags has finally really understood what they need to do to drive attendance, even moderate theming like what they've done here makes their rides so much better and more fun to re-ride. It's funny that both this ride and Terminator's audio systems are way too loud, I'm betting they'll be toned down though.
  21. Wow yesterday was a great day, I was expecting Termy to be pretty fun, but it really did exceed my expectations. I got to the kroq event a bit before it opened, had to wait about half an hour at the entrance of Termy (I was the weird kid in the green sweatshirt if anyone was wondering). Once it opened I was excited to see what they had done with the theming of the ride. Boy it did not disappoint, the theming inside of the pre show buildings was on par with Disney theming (and the "location" made me laugh). Finally I got into the station and was blown away by how awesome the Fly By was from inside (gotta love that loud whooooooosh). Oh right, the ride was good too, the first time I rode I was just so amazed to feel airtime at sfmm, it was great, the audio was really cool too, the ride "experience" was by far the best thing I've ever seen SF put together. There was something missing on my first ride that I did get on my second...FIRE!!!! I'd say the hotness is on par with x2's but if you stand in Vu's exit, you can really feel it. The great thing is that you really can't see it coming, and at night. One more major plus to this ride was the smoothness, probably mainly because it was a brand new ride, but it's still nice to have a good woodie in so cal that doesnt rape you. All in all Terminator is the best ride "experience" offered at sfmm and definitely a must ride, that said lines may be incredibly long due to the newness of the ride, and the pre shows.
  22. ^Thanks so much Robb, I hope I finally get to meet tons of others of my kind
  23. For underage people: Does anyone know if we need the adult with us the whole time? Or can we have the adult check in and go with a friend?
  24. ^Hate to break it to you, but the line will probably be too long, I mean it's the opening day of the ride, people will start to arrive very early, but you'll probably be able to wait it out
