  1. If the system is not launched after so long it powers itself down. By launching a train every so often during weather related downtimes the system is always ready to go. Pun intended...
  2. Having operated Top Thrill Dragster, I think it's easy to say that it's a maintenance nightmare. It just simply cannot run open to close without breaking down. It was never able to all summer.
  3. PR will frequently run two trains. It just never opens with both trains
  4. We were told by staff when we visited in early March that the mine train will be refurbished next.
  5. If, on very slow days, some rows are roped off I think that's ok. I've seen Dragon Challenge with a sparse crowd and it takes more time for the ops to buckle all the empty seats when guests are allowed to sit anywhere compared to just leaving empty seats buckled and only having to push the restraint down.
  6. Record 8-looping terrain Arrow coaster filled with all the Arrow qualities and an 80's remix. As with all my rides so far, this was hand-built. Let me know what you think!
  7. In a park that has Kumba, Montu, and Sheikra, I tend to forget Gwazi is even there. It's the only coaster in the park I look forward to ending while riding. I think that says enough.
  8. Phantom's Revenge station was used for Steel Phantom and the Laser Loop
  9. Here at school I am within 6 hours of: Lakemont Park Knoebles Hersheypark Kennywood Idlewild Cedar Point Kings Dominion Busch Gardens Williamsburg Darien Lake Six Flags America Lake Compounce Six Flags Great Adventure Dorney Park Six Flags New England Canada's Wonderland I think it's a really solid list of parks.
  10. Dragster eats up enough wheels already. The last thing Dragster's wheels need is more running time.
  11. Steel Phantom Go big or go home
  12. Hey everyone! Check out our tour on Saturday http://www.psuthemeparkengineering.com/gatekeeper-construction-tour.html
  13. Steel Phantom reimagined and rebuilt by B&M. I feel had Kennywood waited a few more years when B&M started to take over the market the coaster would still be around today.
  14. Try the file now. It should be the correct track this time. Thanks!
  15. Thank you everyone for the feedback! I've uploaded the track to the exchange.
  16. A compact B&M Invert. Hand-built. Let me know what ya think!
  17. Steel Phantom - Kennywood Big Bad Wolf - BGW Disaster Transport - Cedar Point Wild Cat - Cedar Point Scrapped coasters from Geauga Lake
  18. Cedar Point still has 'America's roller coast' or 'Only park with four coasters over 200' tall' or 'Park with the first coaster over 200', 300', and 400'". I doubt not having the most really bothers them.
  19. Of course I wore that shirt! Gotta represent my ride haha And no I did not enjoy KK. I mean the OTSRs and tower brake fins are a fun jab at KK, but it was unacceptably rough. I've ridden it several times over the past year and this has be a recurring complaint of mine. Two of the four of us had headaches after riding. It's amazing how maintenance really does make a difference. Also goes for Green Lantern which shuffles significantly more than Mantis. +1 for CP
  20. Gotta love seeing two freshly painted B&Ms next to each other.
  21. Steel Phantom - Kennywood Looking back that was quite a way to start!
  22. Courtesy of the Penn State Theme Park Engineering Group, we bring you the latest construction update of Skyrush. More pictures can be found here http://www.psuthemeparkengineering.com/hersheypark1.html
