  1. As it was said previously, I believe their intent this season is to run it with the MCBR set to almost complete stop which is what we experienced our 2nd and 3rd rides. But somebody simply asked if they could switch the trims off and, probably only for such a quiet day like this, they switched them off.
  2. Just finished some great ride time this morning on TB and Voyage! TB was a huge surprise! The launch isn't super forceful, but it gives enough speed through the Immelmann that the valleys of the loop have some great power! Both sides have a bit different ride feels. The left side I found to be a bit more +force while the right side felt more -forces through the Immelmann and the buckle. Overall, great ride! This was also my first time riding Voyage and, OH MY GOD, I was blown away. I was told by a few people that they just retracked a lot of the ride and it feels almost as if it was when it opened. The first ride was amazing with only a touch of trims. The following 2 rides were heavily trimmed. A bit dissapointing but the 4th and 5th rides were pure bliss. No trims. Absolute insanity and airtime monster.
  3. I will be visiting Stockholm this May for a study abroad trip. Sunday, May 24, is my free day so I might take the opportunity to visit the park! Anybody have any suggestions on visiting? What will the crowds look like, any particular order of rides, how much time and money should be spent at the park? Great food spots at or around Gröna Lund or in Stockholm? Greatly appreciated!
  4. Yes! I can't wait to attend the Media Day event tomorrow! B&M's first magnetic launched coaster is sure to be a hit.
  5. WOW! Looks practically seamless. Great job! It's truly such a joy to watch the model of such an iconic coaster develop into a beautiful piece of art. It's also so incredibly inspirational to watch you conquer all of these hardships that you've encountered.
  6. I just visited TDR and OH MY GOD. The projection show was beautiful! The storyline flowed so well and the projections look even more amazing in person. It was truly mesmerizing and a great addition to the park. Definitely get the 4 day pass. It is completely worth it and very affordable. If I remember correctly, it was around $160 for the four day park hopper pass. I could have stayed there for even longer if I had the chance.
  7. Looking at these pictures make me insanely jealous! I remember reading your first trip report to Tokyo DisneySea and reading your praise and awe at the park which drove me to make it my top destination spot when I could travel. Years later, I'm sitting on my phone replying on TPR at Tokyo DisneySea resort. A dream come true. Grona Lund has always looked so beautiful, but with this TR, it might be my next destination especially with the Kolmarden addition underway! Hopefully, this will play out for me just like DisneySea.
  8. Completely agree with this. I went of DHS's Tower a VERY long time ago, when it was still MGM Studios and before the existence of DCA's, but still remember it being an absolutely amazing experience! I just rode DisneySea's ToT a few days ago and I was complete blown away by the story and theming, but the ride itself is weaker than DCA's because the restraints lock at the shoulders, pinning you down into the seats. Also, there are a few opportunities where the riders get immersed story that would provide a brilliant chance for a surprise drop, but was let down.
  9. I was wondering, is there any additional motion added to the vehicles other than the spinning base? It looked as if there are fantastic opportunities for motion for instance: sliding down the cheese grate.
  10. ^That is awesome! I love when parks do little effects, such as that, that I believe make significant improvements in the theming. One of my favorites is the steam effect on the Expedition: Everest trains. It really is an insignificant effect, but it makes such a massive impact on immersing the riders into the theme. Just brilliant.
  11. That is such a beautiful looking ride! All the theming fits seemlessly within the area and everything is so incredibly done. I have to agree about the awesomeness of the random fiesta room. I think the layout of this ride is quite ingenious (especially the lateral switch) as it is wedged in between existing structures. I'm pretty sure the manufacturer was Intamin; however, I'm unsure of what the cost was.
  12. Me and my family are going to Japan in June but the only parks we are visiting are Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea! I am beyond excited! Is there any particular rides that should be taken first or fast passes that should be grabbed in the mornings?
  13. From the look of things currently, it looks like the layout is going to be an altered version of the standard El Loco layout. The lift is angled differently as well as the barrel roll and the drop is altered slightly but otherwise, it's looking pretty similar. I can't wait to see this finished.
  14. Wow! I'm really happy to know that this design will be a custom layout. From the good comments on the El Locos with lap-bars, I'm sure this ride will be awesome. The compact layouts of the El Loco and S&S's unique design abilities make the El Loco seem like a perfect ride for any park, big or small, and yet all of the El Locos around the world have been slight variations of the same layout, until this year. I hope to see even more of these pop up globally!
  15. I'm looking at the concept art right now and comparing the picture to the installed piece of track, but I cannot seem to figure out which section of track is installed. Does anybody want to help identify which portion of the ride it is? It is only concept art, so it's extremely possible that the design is different from the regular El Loco as they have in the concept art.
  16. I remember it years ago. My 15th birthday, my friends as I went on Silver Bullet at KBF 15 times in a row. That was quite a disorienting experience.
  17. Phantasialand has always been on my theme park bucket-list because of the amazing attention to detail that they put into their rides. Chiapas looks to be an amazing addition and the themeing is spot on! I love how the rock work blends perfectly into both Colorado Adventure and Black Mamba, but still has its own distinct architecture and theme. IT LOOKS LIKE SUCH A FUN PARK!
  18. I really like the look of this ride. The way they are fitting it within the existing structures makes it looks like the ride will weave through some building with some close clearances. Hopefully, this ride will create that illusion of near-misses better than other wingriders. Looking forward to seeing how this ride will end up!
  19. The new slide will not be a body slide. It is going to be a raft slide with rafts seating, I believe, 4 people. It will also feature an airtime hill using water jets to propel the rafts uphill similar to the MastBlaster slides.
  20. The Gerstlauer Bobsled coaster has been, in my opinion, surprisingly unsuccessful as of late, which is really a shame. I thought, with the coasters' smaller footprint but insane g-forces, the coaster would become extremely popular to all kinds of amusement parks. This Bobsled coaster is the first, non-dark ride (Van Helsing at Movie Park Germany), Bobsled coaster since 2006! Really quite sad, because I was always hoping a ride like Heiße Fahrt would come to a park near me in the U.S.
  21. Grona Lund is definitely one of the top parks on my amusement park bucket list. The location next to the river in the city looks absolutely beautiful and the insane knot of coasters looks like something you have to see in person to believe just how insane it looks! Beautiful trip report!
