  1. I got invited to the Media day with someone who got the e-mail! Can't wait to ride this and see some familiar faces that day
  2. Went and saw Rango yesterday to confirm it certainly doesn't seem like a kids movie. Many adult jokes that go right over the kids heads, and creepy odd and wonderfully animated Characters that could be seen as frightening to some kids. The only downside was a pretty predictable plot, but still it was worth seeing. There's a nice nodd to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas too, which the Rango character seems like he belongs in. All in all worth seeing if you like animated films or want to see a film you don't have to think to much about.
  3. As someone who lived in Tokyo for a year, and experienced many earthquakes from a 3.0-6.5 while there on top of growing up in Earthquake prone areas, I have to agree with Robb, if I were to have to go through another large earthquake I would prefer to be in Japan than in LA or back in Seattle, as they are built for them, remain calm, and just take care of what needs to be done afterwards, which normally isn't much. Those pictures Robb posted were from a 6.7 in LA, I was in Tokyo on the 9th floor of a shopping center when a 6.0 ish struck, people stood, remained calm, a manager came out and assured us all that the building was structurally sound for the magniture of earthquake and then life went on as normal. If that were to happen in the US, well all hell would break loose. Point and case watch the videos where american's are filming and freaking out over whats happening vs a Japanese filmer who simple shows whats happening. In this case I think the far more devastating thing that has happened is the Tsunami that has clearly caused far more damage than any of the inland based quakes would have caused to the country.
  4. Good golly this is looking like such a twisted odd and awesome little coaster! Thanks for all the updates Olov!
  5. Great sounding line up for ERT! It's a nice change to the morning ERT coaster line up too. My fingers are crossed that Colossus might even Duel for morning ERT like it did night ERT last year. And of course who knows what suprises SFMM will have to make this an even better/crazier event, they always seem to find a way to out do them selves
  6. ^ Isn't this "technical rehearsal" this weekend only? Also the Six Flags Magic Mountain Facebook page posted they need people for filming on thursday the 24th!
  7. ^ I've heard that Aladin rumor too. And certainly hope it's true as seeing WOC on Monday night, I was reminded that it is the one slow and dull part in the show that looses my interest completely. As for the holiday shows, one of the programmers for the show I had the chance to talk to over drinks said that it is in high consideration and was something we should watch for Holidays 2011. My one hope with both these rumors being true, is that they expand and include more of the pier and really utilize all the technology as they did for the Troncore section.
  8. What an odd and fun looking park to visit! It's great to have the Big Man back and updating regularly again! Oh and I'll see you at WCB again this year, most likely for a front row ride on X2 again.
  9. Adele - Rolling in the Deep
  10. Dear Title Fairy, As a humble poster here on TPR I come in hopes of being bestowed one of your ever enlightening custom tittles. With your never ending knowledge and all seeing eyes I trust you to pick a proper and befitting tittle for me to post and share on TPR with pride. Thank you in advanced for considering my request and I must say I am a huge fan of your work. Forever grateful, Shawn
  11. Get outta my way - Kylie Minogue
  12. The TPR Quest game is back! That alone is worth attending the Knotts day too!
  13. Thanks to living in the wonderful city of West Hollywood: Universal - 5 minutes Six Flags Magic Mountain - 45 minutes Knotts - 45 Minutes Disney - 45 Minutes All times are subject to change due to LA Traffic conditions

  15. ^ After experiencing an extremely quick line twice this past Saturday I highly doubt come spring break or "busy" days that the line to get into DCA would take any longer than before the construction. It will just look more intimidating as its one giant line feeding 6 turnstiles rather than 6 short to medium lines feeding 1 turnstile each. In fact it seemed faster, better organized and more efficient with not having people confused and struggling to pick which of the many short lines to get into.
  16. Great to have you back Big Mike! Hope to see you out this way for WCB this year! That was one tough round of find the Duckie. My final answer is 3 duckies.
  17. Starting an Internship next week with a clothing company I highly respect! Can't wait!
  18. ^ For summer they were selling the front of the line passes at the Screaming' Swing ticket booth.
  19. This is exciting news that Knott's is trying this out on a larger level. This past summer while visiting the park, they were doing something similar where for $20.00 you got 4 front of the line passes to use on major rides of your choice. Clearly this must have worked out somewhat well if they are selling a larger package for all the attractions. Fingers crossed this concept starts to get picked up by other Cedar Fair parks.
  20. If you find that mythical place, let me know please. And after foolishly skipping out on last years event, I can't wait to attend WCB 2011!
  21. For me it was this lady at Disneyland who asked my friend and I where Zach Effron was and when the HSM show was... because clearly the two rock n' roll/goth guys are in with the HSM crowd.
  22. ^ Thats encouraging to hear since I'm heading up there tomorrow.
  23. I was also at the park today from about 2-6. It almost seemed like the park wasn't expecting such large crowds in their staffing or preparation for the day to me. As this was nothing like the 2 past Thanksgiving days I've spent there I wouldn't have been staffed for Spring Break level crowds either. Also on top of what Coasternut has said, Goldrusher and Ninja were only running one train each and both had full lines through all the switch backs, which I had never seen before. I'm crossing my fingers when I head back up on Sunday things might be a little more normal at the park. This is great for the park that had such a busy day with major attractions down, and I must say the Superman tower is looking fantastic in its new colours!
  24. A few things off the top of my head I'm thankful for: - Theme Park Review - Cinnamon Bread and all of Dollywood - Year round parks - Friends and family that put up with my addiction to Theme Parks.
  25. ^^ How'd you guess!? It's actually a Geisha something I've wanted for 6 years now. And It's all done!
