Don't forget to consider The Great Escape, Seabreeze, and Darien Lake. -

I like how Batman is painted black at Six Flags Over Georgia. I don't think the yellow paintjob looks that great on the Batmans at Six Flags Great Adventure and Great America. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with the coaster itself... it just seems like the protective nets and the sign were made in the 70s. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

I have not been to Cedar Point myself... but is it just me, or does Raptor seem like it needs a minor update? The sign and the nets (that cover the walkways from loose articles) appear very outdated to me. Also... what are people's thoughts on Wildcat? Haven't heard too much about it. -
2009 Cedar Fair Halloween Events
BuschSchoe replied to Vffreak07's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Is the name seriously still "Halloween Haunt"? I just don't get why Cedar Fair doesn't recycle Cedar Point's Halloween event name and call their other park's Halloween events' "Halloweekends". -

I believe Goliath in Canada is the coaster in this commercial? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvDe8eH7040&feature=channel_page -

Great photos, Chuck. The Skyride change in England isn't too confusing, but it did take a couple of visits to get used to. -

Busch Gardens has updated their Christmas Town website... http://www.christmastown.com I'd say its worth checking out... the map looks great. It seems like its pretty much confirmed though that Italy will not be opened and that Curse Of DarKastle and Griffon (and maybe Corkscrew Hill) may be the only operating attractions. -

And the last set of photos... and if you haven't been able to tell by now, yes, construction is currently taking place behind the waterpark for a huge resort hotel. ...and this is all I saw on the drive back! Thanks for reading! I had a great time at the Lost Paradise Waterpark. ...and this antelope gets you wet by pissing on you! In the lazy river, this antelope gets you wet by spitting on you... No running! One of the few eateries inside the Lost Paradise. One of the many "huts" scattered throughout the waterpark to provide shade. Photo of the slides for the Boomerango and "toilet bowl". These are the speed slides known as Falcons' Dive. This is the kid's play area. Here is the family tube slide. -

More photos... Directions to some of the waterslides/attractions. More photos to come... Map of the Lost Paradise. The backside of the entrance/giftshop. ...and this. ...this... ...this statue... You are also greeted by this statue... -
I posted this earlier, but my Photobucket account photos messed up, so lets try this again... So I recently took a trip to Bahrain and when I was there, I decided to take a trip to the Lost Paradise waterpark. Honestly, this is probably the best waterpark I've ever been to. There was such a great selection of slides for everyone. There were family tube slides, speed slides, a Boomerango, a "toilet bowl" slide, a wave pool, a lazy river, etc. But what made this one of the best waterparks, was the theming. I want to say the theming was either Moroccan or Egyptian. The atmosphere was just amazing the entire time I was there. Once you exit the giftshop, you are greeted by this beautiful fountain. More photos coming soon... Inside the giftshop, there are photos of Bahrain's royal figures. Before you enter the waterpark, you are forced to enter through a giftshop. ...and in Arabic. Above the ticket booths, there is a sign in English... Yes... this is the entrance to a waterpark! After that, this is all I saw on the way there. On the way there, I passed the Bahrain World Trade Center.

Most Intense B&M!

I don't find Dominator to be "intense", just an overall extremley fun, long, and smooth ride. -
Busch Gardens Europe Advice
BuschSchoe replied to Retro_Gaga's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
When you enter the park and go through England, you can go to the left for Apollo's Chariot, straight ahead for The Loch Ness Monster, or to the right for Griffon. I'd eat at Das Festhaus, because it is the only eatery that is completley indoors and air conditoned. I wouldn't expect too long of lines for the coasters... maybe just for Big Bad Wolf and possibly Alpengeist. Have a great time. -

Acutally, Drachen Fire was to the direct left of Das Festhaus, not behind it. -
Most Intense B&M!

I'm going to basically go with what everyone else is going with (an invert) and say Alpengeist. The forces are just so intense. -
Dive Machines? What are your thoughts?
BuschSchoe replied to downunder's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You will really enjoy Griffon... its an outstanding coaster. The second drop doesn't look too big, but believe me, you will definitely be popping out of your seat. And I don't understand why so many people are comparing Griffon to El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure? If you want an airtime machine... Apollo's Chariot is not too far away from Griffon. -
Land Of The Dragons does not really fit the whole African theme of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay very well... it would be good to see it go. They could put some of the rides in Land Of The Dragons at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, there is still a little bit of room left in there, and the area goes great with the European theme of the park.

The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread
BuschSchoe replied to Wes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Isn't it supposed to be replacing Land Of The Dragons over in Tampa? If so, that would be a great decision since Land Of The Dragons does not fit in with the African theme at all. -
