  1. Yes, that is what I meant. I don't think that standup floorless trains would even be possible. Sorry about the confusion.
  2. They run 3 trains on Loch Ness? With three trains running shouldn't the trains interlock in the loops automatically? There usually is one train loading in the station, one on the first lift hill, and one either on the second lift hill or entering the second loop.
  3. I totally agree... a wooden coaster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg would look great, especially in New France.
  4. I don't think its the locals... its the Kingsmill Resort that the park owns right next door that doesn't want a wooden coaster in the park.
  5. My home park is Busch Gardens Williamsburg and I probably visit at least 2 or 3 times a month during the season.
  6. Here are some photos that I took this past Easter on the Rhine River Cruise at my home park, Busch Gardens Williamsburg: Apollo's Chariot cresting the second hill. Griffon climbing the lift. The Big Bad Wolf plunging towards the river. Another interesting photo of The Big Bad Wolf.
  7. I just went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg on Easter Sunday and now I can go to the park for my first time this year on my birthday (in December) during Christmas Town.
  8. Yeah, nobody talks about Lightning Loops or Orient Express anymore because they have been dismantled... The Loch Ness Monster is still in operation. But I definitely would not say that The Loch Ness Monster is overrated by any stretch of the imagination... and I wouldn't say its underrated either. Its a great coaster... one of the best I've ever been on. I couldn't imagine what the park would be like without it.
  9. I noticed them testing that as well when I was leaving the park at around 4 last night.
  10. Well it looks like it will be for the park's offical opening day tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be too bad.
  11. Those are some great photos cfc. ALOT more changes to the park this year than last year.
  12. I was interested to see what Hersheypark did with Great Bear's trains during the offseason... very cool.
  13. Wild Mouse at Hersheypark... just because I wasn't really interested in riding it.
  14. Yeah, so what? Dorney Park just got Possessed (aka Voodoo) and they have Talon. And Hersheypark has Great Bear, which is just an hour west of Dorney Park.
  15. Nice photos Big Mike. I'm not really sure of what to think of California's Great America... its looks like an "ok" park. Not really crazy about the name of the park.
  16. The thing I think is really unique about this coaster is how it seems very calming. Usually, coasters (espeically with an animal icon such as Manta) try to make it seem as menacing and frightful as possible. But Seaworld Orlando is making this coaster seem like a calming fly over the ocean with stingray friends. Pretty cool if you ask me.
  17. I'm sure its already been mentioned... but basically almost every woodie at Kings Dominion needed to be retracked. But Rebel Yell is getting some attention, so I guess just Hurler and Grizzly do. And even though I don't think the coaster needs it, because its probably one of the best wooden coasters I've ever been on, but I can probably see Comet at Hersheypark getting retracked by GCI, since Hersheypark works so closely with them. I think its been retracked recently though (I don't think by GCI), I could be wrong though.
  18. I never really thought that coasters were anything special, I just rode them and didn't really make a big deal about it at all... my first few coasters were Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain, Goofy's Barnstormer at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom and Jack Rabbit, Whirlwind, and Bobsleds at Seabreeze Amusement Park. But when I moved to Virginia... after I rode Alpengeist at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, I really started getting interested in coasters, and researching them online.
  19. The whole "flying home" may be the only thing that your parents might not agree with. But it seems like you've been to alot of parks up and down the east coast, so I'm sure you'll think of something.
  20. Good luck with that, I know how you feel right now. I always have a hard time convincing my mother or father to let me go to Kings Dominion, when they say I could go to Busch Gardens, which is much closer to where I live. I don't really know your complete situation, but I'm sure you'll convince them.
  21. Thanks for letting us know about the video Trevor. Not the best quality, but hey, its better than nothing. The train goes pretty fast up the lifthill... or at least it seems like it does.
  22. I believe the whole Busch Gardens "Europe" name was just like a 5 year ad campagin to just plant in everyone's mind and basically just to get the message out there that the park is European themed, so people realize that its much more than an amusement park.
